What are your Disney pet peeves?

Its annoying for first timers to have to learn how to set up magic bands and link everyone and do all that and then if you linked a magic band previously to one park it doesnt work in another and then they dont function in Disneyland like they do at Disney world like get it all together, people dont want to spend hours figuring out how to use all this stuff
Yes! And another one, the refusal to allow magic bands to be reassigned. When we have a one time visitor and a bag of old magic bands, why can’t I just use one for the one timer.

Green beans!!!

The table service menu options were cut in half but to add insult to injury, meal after meal we kept finding string beans as the side vegetable. It got so bad we actually found them cut up and sprinkled on top of RAVIOLI in Epcot. It became the running joke in our family. Please WDW, enough of the green beans! Calling them haricot verts doesn’t help either - that’s like calling the burgers at AK Kobe beef 😆 Which they tried to do 2018/2019.

And very few menus are without some version of pulled pork.

😳 wait what? I've never had this issue before. My partner and I switch bands all the time depending on our outfits and have lent friends/family extras on their one-day visits. We've always been able to reassign them back to us.

I have a magicband+ that I have used at both Disneyland and Disney World a couple of times. You just have to link it in each app.
This was a huge issue for me I have no clue why but it took hours on the phone to fix. Because I linked into to the disneyland app I couldnt use it at the disney world hotels

New top of mind pet peeve:

$1000 limits on Disney gift cards + the ability to only combine cards if they add up perfectly to $1000 or less, combined with the fact that you have to call if you need to pay with more than 1 gift card.

Agreed. Disney would save themselves money if they allowed more than that to be used online. No need to pay CM to take those calls.

I wish their interface with Apple Pay would show how much is left on a gift card. It only says initial value. We use to save up and use Disney gift cards for our trip. Then I hit a trip where the gift cards were down for 3 days and you couldn’t use them anywhere. I charged what I could to the room to pay later with a gift card, but it scared me enough that we stopped doing that.

oops! forgot one -We LOVE the Boardwalk Inn and BWV, but PLEASE can they just put a refillable mug station somewhere other than the BW Bakery?
Agrred! Maybe they could put a station in the seating area by Carousel Coffee?

Or maybe put one back by Bellevue Lounge, like they had temporarily during the refurb.

And I have so many actual pet peeves (not just complaints) but I don't do well under pressure and I cant think of any to post since I really want to.
where do you find the resort logos you have, they are great and would like to fins them. thanks

Ok, this is pet peeve I suppose, although probably more of a complaint.

2 things they both have to do with the App.

I don't like having to make my LL reservations during my window on the app only. If I'm getting up super early I'd prefer using a larger screen, these older eyes in their early 50s don't focus as easy.

I don't understand why we can't login to the computer as an option for these things.

Other than that, not really too many pet peeves with Disney itself. I mean there are things that can get a little annoying but not really a by definition pet peeve like say people who make mouth noises while eating :)

Edited: Corrected it to LL choices rather than meals.
I have the app on my iPad for this reason - that I need the bigger screen sometimes, especially if it's early morning or late at night.

My biggest pet peeve is when people aren't paying attention to their surroundings to the point that it affects other guest's experiences. Whether it's stopping in the walkway to talk or check their phone to not being prepared to place an order at a QS spot that doesn't have mobile order, it's just annoying. Pay attention, please!

Here is a new thread all about them. It will show you how to get them and how to put them in your signature.

From my trip this month:

1. People budging in line to *meet their group". It should be a Disney policy that the rest of the group must wait at the start of they want to ride together. I could make an exception for the occasional bathroom emergency while on line with a little but that is not typically the people doing this.

The current form of DAS actually recommends "queue meet-up" as their solution in the event you are denied DAS. Given many people feel the way you do (and I'm not saying you are wrong!), it is frustrating to see Disney recommend it as a solution.

You don't actually go back through the regular line with the alternative accommodation. You are directed to the LL entrance (or other applicable entrance) when you follow the actual alternative accommodation which requires letting the CM know and follows the process based on each attraction's specification.

I've had different experiences at DL in attractions without LL, but it was when they first rolled it out. The CMs had very inconsistent training in how to handle and sent us through the regular line to meet up with our group multiple times, despite what the Accessibility website claimed was the process. Perhaps they have changed it for the better? Good to know if so.

It's changed over time and the different coasts can have differences based on their own park operations like certain things were different with requesting DAS at DL than they were at WDW and DL doesn't have the same amount of LL options.
