Hey - I had to hurry - MJ was on and we all know how fast she is!

And two - Lynn was on on the other side of the pond and all I could think of was - oh no - its going to be lost to us again!
No problem.... I will get one for the guide too !!!!!!
I just thought of another great reason we should all wear them..... picture it now....you will all be able to surround me in a circle and tip the top of your heads towards me, sooooo... when I am having a flash, the wind from all the propellers will cool me down..... therefore.... my clothes will stay on... I will stay out of the fountains....and no arrests!!!!
I know....
I AM A GENIUS !!!
Sallie - Your TOO funny!
AND DID YOU NOTICE? YOU LOST A TAG BUT SOMETHING EVEN FUNNIER!
In retropsect that was why I quoted you on another one - wanted to ask you if you put it in there or if you had gotten tagged. Never noticed the 3rd quote gone but this is GOOD!
Jo Ann ...
I was hoping you and everyone else would join us..... It would be like sitting on a balmy beach with the cool breezes surrounding me at every turn!!! Come on... dont be a propeller pooper
JoAnn - comeon on don't be a PROPELLER POOPER!
Ok- serious question.. does anyone have those hydration backpacks I've been looking- its a backpack with a water storage bag, and a long straw thing. Jimmy says it will be too heavy to carry, and the water has no way of keeping cool... If anyone has one or has tried one, please let me know if it is worth the expense and the weight. thanks
UM...yes I have, so lets see:
Yes, they get heavy! DH refused to carry it when it was filled and then sprung a leak and gave him a wet back!

rotfl2: ) and wet end making for a very tight end (sorry - VERY bad pun on American Football here

)
- if the opening inside the pack is big enough you MIGHT be able to put in ice one cube at a time. But Linens and Things or any bed and home store sells those long ice cubes trays that are made to insert inside bottled water containers. Those will work but again - the bag gets heavy.
I paid about $30 when they first came out - I have seen them on sale for as low as $10 but keep in mind that the straw that allows you to drink can get water stained. No way of clearing out the tube and so they get yucky looking. Absolutely doesn't matter to some but my kids are picky. Also, the plastic stinks in the beginning will tends to make the water stink unless you figure out some way to clean it - maybe with vinegar, chlorine or clorax? But then you have to make sure that its rinsed well.
But then again - ifs its as hot as we think it may be - may be worth the points mentioned above. But if DH doesn't want to wear it - are you prepared too? I wasn't - it lasted about 10 minutes on me. Then back into the closet it went. I gave it away to my BIL about 2 years later. He's an avid hiker and not sure if he used it again. We're not the best of friends.
Hope this helps you in one way or another.
