It's good to hear from everyone. We weren't delayed, but Iberia lost one of our luggages. Luckily, they delivered it Fri. evening. We want to do another cruise in 2009, summer. We are looking into Adventures by Disney for next summer- maybe the Austria & Vienna.

We've been bitten by the Europe bug!
Maryann

Glad everyone is getting home safely, 2008 is a USA year for me and 2009 a Europe holiday so if the Magic wants to come back I am in.

Some of my photos are on the 2008 repo thread, or on DCL picture of the day, and if everyone has enjoyed this trip I have a thread on the main cruise board to say to DCL we enjoyed the Med so much, please post on it.

Hello Everyone
We arrived home last night after 3 nights in Barcelona, met Izzy and Paul in Parc Guell!!!
Had a great flight home but Keith and I were split across an aisle and I was next to a couple, for the folk in quiet cove on the last night it was like I had a ringside seat!!! Thank goodness the flight is only 2 hours!

To all the Dissers thank you so much for making our trip magical, from the meet, to brunch, the exchange, fish extenders and all the little meets all over the ship we had a great time meeting you all.
We'll see those of you cruising on the Eastbound Panama Crossing in a years time
Love Lynn and Keith

Glad you enjoyed it and welcome home and see you on the repo thread.

My wife (Perdie) and I had a wonderful time on our first Disney Cruise and while we did not attend any official DIS meets during the cruise we did meet many of you throughout the trip. We are the Americans living in London for three years. We enjoyed talking with those we did meet and hope to keep in touch and maybe see some of you in future voyages. Keep an eye out for my wife's trip report which I am sure will soon appear here and/or on our website www.themarriedtraveler.com

Cheers!

Sorry, Jeanne! That last day was alittle rocky................I was able to go to Palo Tea and then my DH & I went to see Ratatoille (sp?)............by the time we came out, I felt fine......what a great trip! Thx again for the lanyards............I will use it fondly at work this year and remember our wonderful trip.............:cloud9:

Sorry also about the flight home! It sounds like many of us had some kind of delay.............I'm still getting over my jet lag!:rolleyes1

I was fine until I went to my cabin and tried to pack with the ship rocking  . That did me in. I went to dinner hoping the walking around would help me feel better. Dinner was in Parrot Cay,that last night, and on the way through the Promenade Lounge, someone threw up all over the carpet and you had to walk over it to get down the hallway. Things just got worse when I got into Parrot Cay and started smelling food. I decided it was time to leave. I still feel quesy today. Can someone post the group picture? I would love to see it.

Thanks again everyone for the great experience on the Magic. The fish extenders, the brunch, and the DIS meet were all great. Sorry, I didn't make any of the Quiet Cove meets, I love attending the Walt Disney Theatre shows and movies (I never get time to see movies at home) plus the early wakeups for shore excursions limited my evening hours. I have many fond memories of you all. JusJus and PixieDust were the first DISsers I met on our trip. Harold Ann and Garry I recognized from the DIS photos right away. Thanks for your wonderful gifts and Garry is such a hoot. Izzy and Paul were next. I will always remember Izzy dancing the nite away at the Sail Away Party. And how they found me up on deck 9 when I finally came up looking for DISsers to hand out lanyards. They heard my name called and found me straight away. At the DIS meet, I'll remember Brian taking the mike and doing a great job at moving things along. I finally got to meet the creator of my fish extender, Sandra, thankyou, thankyou. And Salliep and her propeller hat and how the Magic crew finally put a name to a face when Sallie walked through security and realized she was the one in the picture with the pope:lmao: . At the brunch, JoAnn's parents were a hoot. We got to sit between Lynn & Keith and Helen & David. I'll remember Andrew not wanting to say what his job was because everyone might not approve. Andrew, I'm impressed how very much you care about your family. I never saw you without your family anywhere. Laura, I'm sorry I didn't see you hardly at all except when I caught you in the hallways taking pictures of fish extenders. The fish extender gifts were great. My brother-in-law already tried to steal my Sistine chapel w/toliet paper magnet. The Tinker Bell statue made it home in one piece, TG, I love it. And of course, I nabbed a bunch of those wonderful pens that MaryJo brought. Again, thanks for all the memories.

Nice recap, Jeanne!!:goodvibes

My DD23 was held up in the Philly airport on Thursday for two hours on the plane..............I've heard many have been delayed even longer!

I'm still waking up at 3am each day...............I'm glad I don't officially go to work for two more weeks!!:teacher:

I'm wondering where Mary Jo is.................she's hasn't stopped by yet!:confused3

Kyla, Thanks for the review. It's fun to be reminded of all that we did. Especially when I'm in the middle of cleaning my house. This morning while scrubbing the tub I was thinking fondly of Clephas, our room steward, who kept everything **** and span clean.

JoAnn, Maryjo was going to visit relatives in Spain after the cruise. I'm not sure if she has internet access.

Thank you again to everyone who helped to make this the best cruise ever.

I have looked up the thread for the 2/16/08 cruise and there are only a few posters. One of them lives in Celebration, FL and spends most of each post bragging about all of the trips to Disney World they take etc... I'm not going to last long on that thread. IT is such a disappointment after this incredible group. I did log onto the cruisecritic board and there are a few more normal people on that thread although overall that board seems to be quite negative and frequently gets off on rant tangents. I'm spoiled in that this was my first experience with the Board and Dis meets etc.

Well, back to cleaning.

Sandra

Hello all.

I didn't even try to read up on all the posts I've missed. Got home last night after 4 days in London (great fun - though how the Brits can afford it, I don't know :confused3 ).

It was great meeting so many of you on the trip. Now that I've done an 11 night trip I know that handling a 15 night trip next August will be easy:) - and I look forward to seeing some of you on that cruise as well.

Great idea! I made sure I posted.

If you are in NY next year, be sure to let us know. We'll talk to Sallie & Jim and maybe meet you for dinner.

For those of you with seasickness and jet lag-

DH has gotten queasy in the past and we bought Relief Bands (like a watch with a battery that you can set the intensity and wear on your wrist). I'd never used it before, and quite frankly was skeptical although he swore by them. Well on the first and last sea day, I used them and can vouch that they certainly work.

Jet lag- we didn't have any. We did use No Jet Lag pills that you can get through Magellan. I don't know if they really worked, but I will not chance it the next time we fly through time zones. We'll definately use them just to be sure.

I got a Relief Band for this cruise, more for the excursion buses than for the sea motion. I get car sick but never got sea sick. Anyway, I found I didn't need it for the buses but I sure did use it that last sea day. It didn't help me much while I was trying to pack and at dinner but probably was helping me during the rest of the day. I don't know for sure, I wasn't going to take it off.

I still hear all the Disney music in my head. Anyone else?:wizard:

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that my dad is still in the hospital in Sardinia. We were expecting them to fly home tomorrow but he had trouble breathing today and is back on oxygen. We are awaiting some test results and hope he will be home by the end of the week. My mom is there with him and my brother-in-law flew there last Thursday. He will b e staying for the duration with them. My son met us in Barcelona and flew home with us. My dad will not be able to attend the wedding next week but we are hoping my mom will make it home to be there with us.

Despite what happened to my dad, the cruise was wonderful. I am so fortunate to have met such of terriic group of disboarders. We were lucky to have cruised with each and everyone of you. I loved getting the magnets on my door. It helped put a smile on my face in ther midst of everything we were dealing with.

I will post updates as to my dad's condition.

Thank you for posting and letting us know how your dad is. We have been thinking of you and your family, I'm pleased that the fish extender gifts kept you smiling.
I hope the wedding goes well, please keep us updated when you can.

I just booked the Disneyland hotel at Disneyland California for four nights to get over a bad case of PC, -Post cruise depression:thumbsup2 and so my plans currently look like flying direct to LA in August and then to the panama cruise.

UK Flights Virgin and BA go direct, an American airline may have given us a free stop over in NY.

For New York I hope to build up air-miles and might be able to do that sometime, thank you for the offer.
