We met a family from MA at the airport in Barcelona on the day we arrived and saw them many times throughout the cruise but never got their last name or email. I know Sue read the boards even though she never posted.

Hi all, just a quick note to say we got home today, finally. We flew from Barcelona to London Heathrow and then from London to Vancouver, BC. When we got on the plane, someone became ill and so we didn't leave the gate for 1 1/2 hours. They had to call the EMTs and check the person out and then decided the person should go to the hospital. So that meant waiting for an ambulance and unloading the luggage.... Needless to say, we didn't make our connection in Vancouver and spent the night there. Luckily, British Air put us up in a hotel and rebooked our flight home for this morning. We finally got home about noon today.

Glad I was able to meet everyone. So many faces it was hard to remember everyone. Sorry, I didn't make the DIS group photo. Darn it. JoAnn, after you told me about the group photo, I got seasick and left before dinner was served. The smell of food just did it for me and I left and didn't leave the cabin until the ship stopped rocking.

Well, I'll check in later.

We made it home all safe and sound. We had a delayed flight out of Barcelona by about 2 hours......when we landed in Paris they told us they were holding the flight to Dulles. There were about 30 on our Barcelona flight heading to DC. They had a guide to take us though security quickly....but about 10 minutes into the trip across the airport my DFIL started to faint. I stayed with him and the rest of our group went ahead to get on the plane. Air France proveded us with a very nice guide...once DFIL started to feel better she took us down a "secret" hallway and elevator to a limo which drove us right out to the plane. We beat the rest of the group!!

My DFIL had several of these "fainting" spells during our trip. He is seeing a cartilogist (sp) next week. His heart need help....he is lucky to be getting these warning signs. He did not leave the ship at all, but had a nice vacation anyway.

Does anyone know about the Medical Emergency our first night at sea? When they announced it I made my DH call his dad right away and make sure it was not him and he had not called us. (He would do that as not to ruin our trip). But it was not him......just wondering who it was and I prayed for the family the entire trip.

I have jet lag bad.....

My mom is coming tomorrow to my house to stay though Sept. and she was sorry for causing me so much trouble before I left. She ended up at the hospital today for a scratched eye. I know she hates getting old.

Sorry, Jeanne! That last day was alittle rocky................I was able to go to Palo Tea and then my DH & I went to see Ratatoille (sp?)............by the time we came out, I felt fine......what a great trip! Thx again for the lanyards............I will use it fondly at work this year and remember our wonderful trip.............

Sorry also about the flight home! It sounds like many of us had some kind of delay.............I'm still getting over my jet lag!

I'm sorry we never really got to meet on the cruise. It really is a big ship and so many things to do. Thank you for helping to make this thread so successful which in turn made the friendships formed closer and stronger.

You dont need to say sorry, as you say its a very big ship, so much to do, and for seven of the evelen days , I and many ofters were off the ship from 7.00 am to 6pm, then dinner then show.

So little time to see anyone, the Diss meet was great, first Sunday, but again a rush between the character breakfast, and Palo brunch, and last night I had too much to juggle to make the photo meet, at 8pm, I apologise for that, but dinner ended at 7.55pm, Stephen had happy birthday sung to him and I wanted to thank servers, we had to finnish luggage packing and get them out, and then at 8.20pm I rush to hand in the kids club pager, and then the show.

Alice and Carley got stuck having the seals put on their Med jornels she loved doing that, and she also obtained one for Stephen, the line was long for that, and she just made the show.

Panama for me will be less of a rush, but cruise time is also familiy time, it was great meeting so many people, but also its important to have some familiy time.

Every day I was rushing from one thing to the next, We had a few dissmeets on the tenders, ( how come all dissers get the first tender???) and port side.

JoAnn it was so great to finally meet you and your wonderful family. How great for you to have them all with you for this trip of a lifetime! Jan & Howie and Garry and I have booked another cruise for November 8, 2008....did anyone else choose that date? There could never be another group like what we just experienced I am sure! I am sure many people did not feel like a picture on the last night. I think the cheese and crackers at Sessions saved me! Even with the patch for motion sickness I was still uncomfortable until I had the cheese and crackers.

Thx to all for the wonderful memories.............the cruise itself was the "star"............the itineraries...............the excursions..............the improvements, characters, increased staff and activities............my family had such a great time, my kids insisted that we book onboard so we're back to the Mexican Riveria next summer!!

The best news is that the new ships will probably stay in the Med..........so we'll certainly be back!!!

hey guys! we made it back after a 3 1/2 delay in philly and raleigh. i was up for 24 hours straight. i didn't experience any jetlag going or coming back. i think looking at my watch helped my mind and body adjust to the time difference. it was fun meeting everybody. Harole Ann, i'm going through withdrawl. i haven't seen you in three days.

Glad to see that you are home. I think everyone had some sort of delay. We just chased from gate to gate in Atlanta as every time we were at the gate for our flight there was a plane sitting there that was unable to fly. It made you feel really good to know you were flying Delta!! We did the 24 hour thing too, but you are right about setting your watch and it does help your body adjust. Take care & we will have to get together again some way I am sure!

It's good to hear from everyone. We weren't delayed, but Iberia lost one of our luggages. Luckily, they delivered it Fri. evening. We want to do another cruise in 2009, summer. We are looking into Adventures by Disney for next summer- maybe the Austria & Vienna.
