OK - my DD - Megan - she is offically 20 today - well at 3:50 she was.

:bday: :bday: Megan & Happy Anniversay Laura--more celebrations!--Yea!!

I haven't seen it on the thread Jeanne, but my husband is standing next to me admiring your work on the booklet, Thank you so much and dan for the PDF.
I have to go to school today to do clean up .
In yesterdays rain the school really suffered 2 flooded clssrooms and a flooded corridor.
I will be soooo glad when next saturday looms

Good luck with the clean up and you so deserve a vacation!

Quick suggestion for gift bags- once we did this at another function I went to and there was a some "childlike behavior" I guess you could say-
All the bags were placed on a table, and as with everything, some bags looked a little more enticing than others- well, as people were choosing, there was a rumble, and before you knew it, seemingly normal, happy adults actually began pulling on certain bags and came just short of getting into a fight over-them.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I couldn't believe my eyes, but it did happen.
So I suggest, AND THIS ONLY A SUGGESTION AS I KNOW HOW WONDERFUL WE ALL ARE_ that we put numbers on the gift bags, and each of us pulls a corresponding number out of a paper bag which in turn is the number of the bag you get.
I just wanted to post this, because I have had experience with this, and when I do organize things like this, I now put numbers on everything and have everyone pick fairly out of a bag.
I can get the numbers ready and just print out the list and cut participant names and put them in bag... but its up to you all..
I dont want to rock the boat.. so please , if you think this is not necessary- NO PROBLEM-
Ok Im off to shower and get ready- I will check in when we get to the restaurant
Love Sallie

Good thought, maybe we come up with numbers like UK 1, UK 2 etc, NY 1 NY 2,C 1, c2 etc..then if you pull out a number that has the wrong letter just throw it back in. If no one opens a bag until all the numbers are selected then we can make trades if we have to if the last person gets his/her own region.

Is this getting too complicated?

Just a suggestion.

Sandra

What if someone picks a number, picks a bag, looks at the tag and it if is their region, puts it back and takes another number. Then we continue?

I like the idea of picking numbers, and if it's from your region putting the number back, but however we do it is fine with me.

I like all the suggestions, but there will be so many of us and how many will be leaving in an hour for brunch? That could complicate things too. I will be glad to come down early to help get numbers ready or help out in any way I can, just let me know.

Here's our passport update.... on Thursday, I was at work and did a quick check of the boards. I received a pm from Lisa (alexcturner) urging me to call my senator to get extra help, and not rely on the Passport agency. She was very nice about it, but her last sentence was something like, "Pick up the phone now!" So I did. Lol I dropped everything I was doing & looked up the number to our senator's office, who directed me to call my local congressman. Hey, did you know that the 37th District (where I live) has a vacant seat. Well, that didn't surprise me. I did call one of the other local offices, and Mary answered. She took all my info & said she would look into, and would call me the next day. Well, she didn't call me, but the Passport Agency (New Hampshire office) did call me and tell me that they were sending Nick's passport via FedEx, and it would be here on Monday. That's cutting it a little toooo close, so I asked her if there was any way possible to accelerate FedEx to a Saturday arrival, so she's going to see if the passport can be delivered today. Keep your fingers crossed. :)

MaryJo--I hope you get Nick's passport. Our friends that are traveling with us are in week 16 of waiting and talked to the New Hampshire office Friday and were told their passports were being printed as they were on the phone and would be overnighted to them today. I have not talked to them today and am afraid to open my email on Monday. I have fingers and toes crossed for all of you!:goodvibes

Remember I told you we were going to Paris to play baseball---well, I want to show you proof as dh points to the sign---what more could you ask????:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

The PDF version of the DISGuide has been updated.

To print with Adobe reader, the following should work:

1. In the print dialog, select "Print Odd Pages Only". This should print pages 1,3,5,7

2. place these sheets back in the printer, reversed (flipping the paper so that the white side will be printed on, and leaving the "bottom" of the page (when viewed horizontally) on the same side as before.

3. In the print dialog, select "Print Even Pages Only". This should print pages 2,4,6,8 on the back. Make sure the pages are ordered correctly - that the previously printed page 1 is the first that will be printed.

4. You may need to flip the pages at this point to get them in the correct order in the pamphlet.

You should then be able to fold the pages over to make a small pamphlet.

This will work best of thick paper or "presentation" paper.

Good luck!

Dan

THANK YOU, DAN & JEANNE FOR A FANTASTIC VACATION MEMORY!!:grouphug: This is great!!!

Hi, just want to wish every one a Bon Voyage. Sorry we are going to miss the trip after all the planing. I'm sure it will be a great time. We did sign up for one of the West Coast trips next year, so hopefully will meet some of you there.
The plus, if there is one, for having to cancel the Med Cruise, (other than the car we had to buy) is that we had already bought airline tickets, so, we are using those to fly over the Switzerland and Germany for a long weekend in December to do the Christmas Markets.
Anyhow, hope you all have a fun, and safe trip. I'll be looking for trip reports.
J.

You will enjoy the West Coast cruise. We did that two years ago and it was wonderful. Sorry you won't be with us.

To everyone else---I did talk to DCL earlier this week and they are having staggered dining on our cruise.

See everyone soon!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Harole Ann,
Can you believe next week at this time we will have had dinner on the Magic together? It's so exciting.

Congratulations to the grandsons and hope tomorrows games go better for the little ones. You must be exhausted and I do hope you have lots of sun screen with you. We believed you about Paris but the picture is great.

YOu found out about the staggered dining did you by any chance find out what our dining rotation is? I am not good at not knowing.

Well, time to get Lilly in bed so Gerry and I can open another one of the delicious disney/med wines. Tonight is one of the reds. I'll let you know if we should order it at dinner.

Did you notice that there are 26 rooms on the FE list but only 24 on the chart in the booklet? I'm going to print it tomorrow and see which rooms are missing then post it to each participant. My eyes aren't that good on the laptop screen.

Gerry's T-shirts came out great. He doesn't want the Disnames on the back just the logo on the front. One is black and the other is teal. The printer ran out of ink so I can't do mine also I have to find the link to the Disname printable page for the Tshirts.

Have a great night. See you soon. I just love saying that:cool1: :cool1:

I'm sorry you won't be joining us. It's going to be great. Enjoy Switzerland in December. That should be beautiful. Be sure to read some of the blogs. Given how wonderful everyone is on this board they are sure to be great.

I can try to send you the name page link because I don' t know what page it is on. Garry just printed mine as he did a logo only shirt for himself. It looks nice. Both boys want a shirt! I will have to send it to your email address, except I just realize I nolonger have that as it is lost in the old computer that died. Maybe someone remembers what page it is on, because I forget totally....sorry!!!

You are so right about one week from now---we will be at the sail away party!:cool1: :cool1:

Sorry, no info on dining rotation, just that they are on the staggered scheduled as our last cruise.

This afternoon between games I was leaning back with my eyes closed and told Garry don't say a word as there was a nice breeze and I was pretending I was on a deck chair on the Magic! See what a good imagination I have!:lmao: :lmao: It was a perfect day to be outside all day--mid 70's and a nice breeze and occassional clouds. Tomorrow is supposed to be about the same. I do use sunscreen, but I also have a good tan which is the best protection from sunburn! That was on the health report recently!:)

Off to the showers for me, and then back to Paris! Sound like a world traveler already!!:rotfl2:

See you soon! (My three favorite words):grouphug: and Garry always thought they were "Let's eat out!":lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey guys - just popping in inbetween loads - we're about to head off to a party for a few hours - did I ever tell you guys that I'm a glutton for punishment? I sometimes - emphasize on SOMETIMES - thrive on deadlines.

Anyway, just managed to print out the guide. If anyone is having trouble printing out a guide and would like for me to print one out - just let me know. I can bring some - just PM and I will have a few extras - not much maybe just 2-3. Unless you specifically PM me.

Found some photo paper from Kodak - not real photo paper really - more for like flyers and presentation but is printable on both sides. A little thicker than 20# but at least a bit nicer.

Hi Roan, WHat about Cove Cafe? I will not have my laptop but will need to check emails at least once a day. I could use one of the computers there and you could use your laptop and most importantly have great coffee!!

Mary Jo.....waiting to hear good news!!!

If you're going to be on your laptop at off hours, I'd like to be considered. :)

Lisa,

The FedEx office has Nick's passport in San Diego. We tried to have it expedited to be delivered today, and the FedEx office had a note to do so, but I guess they never took it out of the container. ::::sigh::::

So, I called them and asked them to hold it at the office, and Nick will go down on Monday to pick it up.

So, here's hoping that THAT will work, and we'll be set to go. :)

OK, so in a fit of sadism I went ahead and bought the Starbucks cup to bring on the cruise - weight permitting.... Was joking with the folks at Starbucks tonight when buying it - one of them went on cruises and thought it was very funny.
Thx for the warning!!:confused3 :coffee:

Well done............I like this one!:goodvibes

It's been quiet in the house... too quiet. The normal sounds of TV and music blaring are absent. Only my rumblings and dog musings fill the air.

Sitting silently DD17 DD20 and DN18 (Disney Nephew?) sit on the couch reading Book 7. Each anxious about the progress of the other - worried about the inadvertent spoiler exclamation (happened the previous book - they never got over it and never forgave - but I won't mention who did it to protect their reputation :-) ) ... careful to make sure not to let me know what's happening because, I, unbelievably am waiting for the flight to read the darned thing.

I'm used to the noise, I work with it all of the time, and now I'm reduced to headphones in order to not distract them from this final episode of their childhood. The last book - can't believe the day is really here. The book calls to me.. and I say 'No Book - I need you to distract me from the flight because I hate flying!' Will I make it? Will a spoiler get through and destroy my carefully placed plans? Check in next week.. (just kidding - I'll be reading the book! not writing!)

Now, back to work for me!

Hey Sandra,

I took a crack at it and here's what I found, although that teeny teeny tiny print is hard to read!

I think that Former CPer's room says 2345 on the list and it should say 2545. There is no 2345 on the ship map and 2545 is RED on the map.

Iowazipcode 2550 is NOT red, although Iowazipcode 7554 IS red

Donioc 6537 is NOT red on the map

Let me know if those seem like the right corrections - and THANKS to everyone for all their hard work!

Susy

Wow, way to really stretch out the supense...............this sounds way too familiar in our family.......let's hope the passport is picked up early Monday AND YOU IMMEDIATELY LET US ALL KNOW YOU HAVE IT!! Let's all send up a prayer, that all our luggage makes it, noone is delayed and our weather is amazing on this trip!!!!!!!!!!!:grouphug:

You are so organized MJ, thx again for the fantastic packing list!!:cloud9:

Me too!!!!

I am jonesing so bad to dive in to the book! I ALWAYS read it cover to cover the moment it arrives.

TODAY however, it arrived bright and early, and I LEFT IT UNOPENED and packed all day. And it's night here and I'm still packing and charging and listing and updating ipods.

No book. If I let myself even read one page I won't be able to stop. Must wait for long plane ride....Must avoid news, newspapers, AOL, the internet, anyplace I might see or hear a spoiler. Aaaarrrghghhh. I can hardly take it.

:dance3:

Getting punch drunk from too much packing.
