Do they provide enough coat hangers in the staterooms or shall we bring a few more?

Thanks

Allison

Sorry you won't be joining us, but I heard the Mex cruises are fun. Maybe you can visit Disneyland when you're out here next year.

I'll have Nick call me as soon as he gets it & I'll let everyone know.

Oh, I have to share. I printed out copies of the packing list for the kids to use to put their stuff together. Today Nick was commenting that he checked it over, but one item had him puzzled. I asked him what was that - and he said, "A propeller hat, mom?" :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He's in for a few more surprises before the weeks out!!!

Some of us are doing Palo Brunch together but I think that the places are all full now. You could try booking as soon as you board.

I have had clothes pressed as soon as I get on board but not cleaned so not sure about the time scale on that

You can do the adult gift bag, it's whoever puts one in gets to take one out.
$15-$20 on gifts from your home area

I've always found there to be enough hangers but I understand you can ask your stateroom host for more if you wish.

The FedEx office has Nick's passport in San Diego. We tried to have it expedited to be delivered today, and the FedEx office had a note to do so, but I guess they never took it out of the container. ::::sigh::::

So, I called them and asked them to hold it at the office, and Nick will go down on Monday to pick it up.

So, here's hoping that THAT will work, and we'll be set to go. :)

Fingers still crossed until it is in your posession.

As I recall, our stateroom had about 10 or 12 hangers. They were wooden and had either clips or clasp bars for pants on each one.

Hi, just want to wish every one a Bon Voyage. Sorry we are going to miss the trip after all the planing. I'm sure it will be a great time. We did sign up for one of the West Coast trips next year, so hopefully will meet some of you there.
The plus, if there is one, for having to cancel the Med Cruise, (other than the car we had to buy) is that we had already bought airline tickets, so, we are using those to fly over the Switzerland and Germany for a long weekend in December to do the Christmas Markets.
Anyhow, hope you all have a fun, and safe trip. I'll be looking for trip reports.
J.

Sorry you won't be able to make it this time . . .

If you're going to be on your laptop at off hours, I'd like to be considered. :)

Does anyone have an opinion on that no-jet-lag stuff?

We have never tried it.

I bought it and plan to use it, although I never had before. Generally I just try to nap or doze on the plane and then stay up the first day in Europe until at least 8 or 9 local time, and by the following day I generally feel pretty normal. But I thought I'd buy and try the No Jet Lag anyway just to see if it will help.

Good morning everyone,
It was a long day yesterday. We left the house for mass at 9-am and didn't get home until after 10 p.m.. After dinner we went back to my aunts for warm memories and lots of laughs. You all would have loved my aunt- she truly was a saint living on Earth! I know she and my parents and Jimmy's parents will all be watching over us on this journey!

:grouphug:

Ok- I will make tags with numbers in which you will print your name and location which you will attach to your bag. I will bring paper clips, but if you attach one to your bag now- it will save time. Each tag will have a number which you will put in a bag . You will pick from the bag, and if it is from your region, you will pick again !!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I will be doing a little more shopping and actually begin putting things in the suitcase- which after reading about all the lost luggage is starting really make me nervous!:scared: :scared: :scared:

Does anyone know if Andrew made it out of England???:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We ask for extra hangers each cruise and always are given what we need. I would not waste my weight limits with hangers.

Matthew, where are you form in NO VA??...we are in Centreville and fling out of Dulles on Wed night at 10pm.

Sallie, I have been keeping you and your extended family in my prayers. I am thankful that you were able to attend all the services as this is such a tribute to someone that sounds very special to you!

Not to sure about the number/bag thing. Do I need to do anything except bring the gift to the Dismeet? I can attach a tag there, if I understand correctly.

A friend of a friend did this cruise in June. My friend told me that her friend who went lost every piece of luggage for the entire family (6 pieces) (so much for cross packing....did not help them much at least at first). As the trip progressed, 5 pieces made it to them along the way. The one piece that never turned up was the mom's piece....the one with the jewelery and all the new outfits she spent days and days shopping for.

I think I am not going to bother to pack at all and just tell everyone that my suitcase was lost...I will just be happy wearing the same thing every day with a good excuse....:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We live in Bristow just south of Manassas. We went on the 07/07/2007 cruise. I came to this board to give some of our lessons learned and answer any questions. I wish we were going back with your group though! :)

We have a great time. Perfect weather and very few problems. We avoided the lost luggage problems that many others had.

BTW When you check your bags for delivery to your room, all of your bags may not arrive at your stateroom at the same time. We had 4 of 5 arrive within an hour of us being on the ship. However, the last one (MINE) didn't arrive at our room for another SIX hours. Don't get nervous until after 8:30 PM if your bag is not at your room.

Good idea, since we never have enough hangers!

Suzy,

DD tried No Jet Lag on her way to Europe and said it worked great. Didn't take it on the way home and really felt it. We're going to use it. We'll seeee...

Mary Jo,
Fingers crossed for Nick's passport.

Harole Ann,
Thanks for finding out about the dining.

Helen,
Don't worry about quarters. We'll all have some to share.

I'm 3/4 way finished with the book. It's great so far......
