Think very carefully about entering the great doors of the Starbucks! Once you enter you can never go back. Forever, all other coffee shops will pale by comparison. Home-made beverages will be ghost-like imitations of the real thing. You will be drawn... no ... driven - to go back again, and again and again!! The cost, financial and emotional is stagerring. Be careful, oh innocent one!!

Okay, we hav made this decsion to do all the ports on our own and I went to the PISA site and you need to book the tickets to climb the tower 14 days in advance.....that was yesterday

Oh well, we can go early and wait there for tickets........I guess get the tickets and tour a little while waiting......not sure.....any suggestions would be great.

The Pisa tickets went quickly when they were released about 30/35 days in advance, you can queue on the day but the lines will be long.

Someone suggested that we remember to download the software for our camera so we can download pictures. I have finally got DH to stop packing. He can't find the software disc with the download info on it. so that is his job. It's good we have loads of memory cards that hold thousands of pictures because we probably won't be able to download them until we get home. Of course that was one of the main reasons for buying the laptop in the first place.

Anyway, we can't wait to be away together.

Last year Shutters would also put your digi camera memory card onto a DVD for you and I think it was $10-£15, good if your camera is getting full and you can play off the laptop as well.

Thanks from me and from Chris (Grandmax3) for giving us the information for how to reserve the private Palo brunch -- we were able to get it for the repo cruise next month, just heard yesterday. Also, Micmse2003 from the 2008 repo thread wants me to say hello to you in person on the cruise . . . she says you were very helpful to her when she was just starting out on the boards.

I will be around part tonight so many things to do, cut the lawn and defrosted the freezer yesterday, great isn't it, I will be around Friday evening our time, poss a little ketchup Saturday am, then cannot predict.

We are taking the laptop and I read the hotel has Internet access, so I will try to give you an update from Barcelona sometime over the weekend and maybe during the week, but it will be one or two posts as I want to get out and about.

I have contacted a different tour agency which specializes in nature and aventure tours in Olbia and found one that will accept a minimum of 6 passengers for cave snorkeling for 100 Euros per person. We just have to get from the port of Olbia to the start of the tour, Cala Gonone -- one hour from Olbia. I will be renting a car or van, depending on how many people decide to participate. The rate covers snorkeling equipment, boat ride to Bue Marino cave, helmet for cave exploring, bag lunch, return boat trip to Cala Gonone at 3pm and then we ride back to Olbia in our vehicle in plenty of time for the boat's departure.

Look at the caves at www.dorgali.it Click on "Cala Gonone", then along the top bar click on "Le Grotte" which is the fifth thumbnail photo.

I will be watching this thread every day through Tuesday, July 24th or you can PM me. DD (16) and I leave on vacation the following day.

This has been the most helpful thread I have EVER read. I am not a Girl Scout, but with all the helpful hints I have learned from this board, I will be well prepared for this, our third DCL cruise. Could not agree with you more... even if I have starbucks product at home it just isn't the same.

You need to go in for the experience.

My mom and I had Fat Free Lemon Angel Foodcake cupcakes at Starbucks in the Trump Tower in NYC and I think it changed my life.

A tall iced coffee with a splash of milk and 3 splendas has the power to put me in a good mood I blame myself for making my mother an addict as well. You all better hope we find a starbucks before we board the ship or there could be trouble.
