Could not agree with you more... even if I have starbucks product at home it just isn't the same.

You need to go in for the experience.

My mom and I had Fat Free Lemon Angel Foodcake cupcakes at Starbucks in the Trump Tower in NYC and I think it changed my life.

A tall iced coffee with a splash of milk and 3 splendas has the power to put me in a good mood I blame myself for making my mother an addict as well. You all better hope we find a starbucks before we board the ship or there could be trouble.

Maybe you know Andrew,

Can we use the TSA (combination) locks on our luggage in Europe. I know we can in the US but not sure about international.

I have these and will use them, the point of these locks are the TSA in America have 'master keys' to open your cases if they want to, otherwise with normal locks they would just bust it open.

Now I do not know if the European airports have master keys or not, but you can still use these, and I will as well, even though my flight is just under two hours, as they still are a lock.

A good web site to track world currencies is www. oanda.com. This site has an option to print out a chart of the exchange rate in the form of a handy wallet-size card. Take one with you and you will instantly become the friend of everyone on your ship.

At oanda.com look under "Currency Tools" and you will find "FXCheat Sheet; Travelers Currency Cheat Sheet."

Better to print it out closer to your departure date with the way the dollar dips lower and lower. Let's pray for a rally!

Think very carefully about entering the great doors of the Starbucks! Once you enter you can never go back. Forever, all other coffee shops will pale by comparison. Home-made beverages will be ghost-like imitations of the real thing. You will be drawn... no ... driven - to go back again, and again and again!! The cost, financial and emotional is stagerring. Be careful, oh innocent one!!

Now, I must go to work darn it!!

The planning has not gotten out of hand. At this point we can just about take the cruise by proxy. We have menus, Navigators, photos on trip reports, we can just ask Sallie to paste us in. It would save a lot of time.
Anyway, I think we'll wait until the ship to have some surprises. But thanks for posting these.

I will be around part tonight so many things to do, cut the lawn and defrosted the freezer yesterday, great isn't it, I will be around Friday evening our time, poss a little ketchup Saturday am, then cannot predict.

We are taking the laptop and I read the hotel has Internet access, so I will try to give you an update from Barcelona sometime over the weekend and maybe during the week, but it will be one or two posts as I want to get out and about.

Have you packed, Andrew? Didn't forget those Union Jack shorts, now, did you?

Note to others: subtext behind this can be found in a picture on the Aug. 2008 repo thread . . . if it is indeed Andrew and he does indeed wear the shorts, we are in for quite a treat! But personally my hopes are not up . . .
