(No implication intended to anyone in THIS group . . . I just thought it was funny.)
I'm not sure how to take this one..........:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, Lilly is at her friends today and I was supposed to get lots of things done. Instead I'm on the boards and not getting anything done. So inspite of the fact I'd love to be here for the big 1000 and 15,000 I have to go drink my tea that has gotten cold and start my day.

Good luck to everyone.

Sandra

Found this on the main Cruise board:

(JSMOM2) Photot packages are a great deal! You purchase a package that includes a set number of 8x10, 5x7 or combination of both. They give you a card with your name and a number for each photo. Everytime you find a photo you like, you bring it up to the desk and they mark another number off your card. The awesome thing is that they are completely refundable!! Also, if you have a package they will allow you to swap out photos if you find one you like better later. You can't do this if you don't buy the package.

(DAHUFFY)We bought 9 8x10's and 2 5x7's for $149. The "Lifestyle Portraits" are my favorite.

(MOONCREEK9)The great thing about the photo packages is... if you don't use the whole thing they will give you a refund.

I purchased a package and ended up adding to it.

While we were on the Med cruise photographers from the ship were on the excursions with us and took fabulous pictures. The fun thing is they have neat borders, the city name and the date the picture was taken. So we purchased at least one from every port to put in our scrapbook.

Also, we love the photo ops with characters onboard, and we loved the Pirate themed night photos the best.

They also take pictures in the restaurants - we bought a bunch of photos and decided to make a scrap book for each of our daughters to keep commemorating our trip.

(MICKEYBEAST) (Prices?) click Dis home. Then on that page go down and click on the link for Navigators. If you cruise through them they have the information on packages from Shutters

Maryann
This sounds like an improvement! I've learned to get the pics as you go, so you don't lose any favorites....also, avoid the last day in Shutters as the lines can be crazy!:thumbsup2

Thank you!!!!!

I could not find any Starbucks at our other ports. However, I am looking forward to the local coffee shops etc!!!

LOL!

I have this Starbucks additiction as well (Venti Americano with room). Everytime I go with My oldest DD we look at the ceramics cups they sell that look just like the paper cups you get and we think.... Hmmm we should get those to put our coffee on in the ship, and then, when we walk around the ship with them people from all around will come running up to us, short of breath, flushed with excitement, with face splitting smiles and say: "Where did you get that?!!! I didn't know they had Starbucks on the ship!!! pirate:

Depending on the weight of my suitecase - could still happen.... :rolleyes1

Roan
Don't do it, it'll make me crazy!:scared:

I'd like to see that! I only read the Times, so if it was in one of the other papers, I missed it. I'd like to see how the 4 I go to regularly stack up . . .
I guess it was the Post....Regis & Kelly were talking about this SB article today!:goodvibes

I live 28 miles south of Boston and drive 8 miles to School/work in the morning I pass 4 on my way and one of them is actually the busiest one in the whole chain. THere are 3 drive thru windows with lines out to the street at all hours of the day. THey are reconstructing the road so the traffic can be off the road because there are lots of road rage issues when people block the road or cut others off to get into the drive thru. THey have police there in the mornings. I drink Decaf tea black no sugar. Quite boring!!
Sandra

I LOVE THE DRIVE THRU STARBUCKS, we don't have too many in my area!!

Someone suggested that we remember to download the software for our camera so we can download pictures. I have finally got DH to stop packing. He can't find the software disc with the download info on it. so that is his job. It's good we have loads of memory cards that hold thousands of pictures because we probably won't be able to download them until we get home. Of course that was one of the main reasons for buying the laptop in the first place.:confused3

Anyway, we can't wait to be away together.

Sandra

Sandra,

Forgive me if someone has already responded...I'm catching up.

You could go to the camera manufacturer's website and likely download the software and any updates.

No, don't let fear ruin your vacation . . . on the other hand, don't let having something stolen ruin it either . . . not sure about how careful you would have to be in the Barcelona airport. I would think that it is easier to keep the pickpockets out of there than it is on Las Ramblas, though. I was in Prague last year and the pickpocketing there is probably worse than almost anywhere -- there were notices in our hotel room about it, even. I kept a little money in a pocket and the rest under my clothes and had no problems. My oldest daughter and I wandered all over the place and loved it. It's just funny though how many people tell you to do this and then say "just as you would in New York" and I would never even think of having to do it here! Not even in very touristy places or in Central Park after dark, etc., etc. New York is much safer than most people realize.
I used to worry a lot more in NYC, than I do now......I was thinking about that while in the city...........should I be more concerned in NY?........am I overconcerned about it in the port cities?..........I guess it's just better to be safe than sorry!

We have a little boy in first grade with ADD and his dr suggested caffeine in the morning would help him settle down. His mom works at Starbucks so at 8:45 am everymorning he has a steaming hot cup of black Starbucks delivered to his desk. THe first day I brought it in the teacher's aid thought it was for her. We had quite a laugh when I gave it to Jonathan. He loves it and it does actually help him settle down for his morning work.

Sandra
I've heard this before.................maybe this is why I drink it every morning!!!:coffee: :scared:

No, you don't need to be more concerned in the city . . . pickpockets are a real problem in some of the port cities, so while I wouldn't be overly concerned, I'd just take precautions.

I've traveled in Chicago, NYC and San Fran - just being observant has worked so far - that's what I'll do this time - but a bit more so.

Hoping to help get it to 1,000 then I gotta go start the day . . .

Ok, I'll admit it.............I MISS ANDREW! I know he hasn't left yet, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NEXT WEEK???:confused3

That's too funny! Ritalin is a stimulant in adults but calms down kids with ADD so I suppose caffeine could do the same.

thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I guess there are just too many things on my to do list. I'm not thinking as clearly as I could.

I'm not sure how to take this one..........:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I did suggest present company is excluded . . . what I liked about this quote is that everyone talks so much about the value of travel without acknowledging that some benefit will relate to what you take into the situation!

Honestly, I've had more trouble with street vendors "ripping me off" or being overcharged by taxi drivers, etc.....while traveling in foreign countries.....
