Mary Jo - good luck today with the passport. I have had to do that "emergency" passport thing at the Federal Bldg. twice and it is expensive and you have to wait around - but we did walk out both times with passport in hand - so sending you pixie dust!

I am just wondering I know you can add stateroom credit as a gift, and I know it is in incremements of $25.

Anyone know how much it costs to do this? Also is there a maximum amount.

My thinking is - I would love to pay for our excursions in advance - I was wondering how much it would cost and indeed whether DCL would let me add $1000 to our onboard credit account. I could say it is a gift for my DH is needs be?

Any help would be appreciated

I always pay my shipboard account in advance it should be $1,400 now, that cover my commitments for tips nd two DCL trips I do this by DREAM's paying when the dollar rate is good, or even very good. Never had a problem helps me relax on holidays thinking a lot is paid for.

Sandaneli We are staying at the AC Barcelona the night before the cruise. I'm a bit worried about how the jetlag will affect me. DH and sleep through anything but I've never been able to sleep on a plane.

lovebeast i'm staying that the hesperia presidente. i think it is downtown somewhere. i'm planning on buying a couple of bottles for friday and saturday and just drink the ship's water from deck 9.

disneylover5 Okay, I just heard back from my TA. We were able to get Hilton-Diagonal-Mar-Barcelona. We have 4 rooms......anyone else here? We have 2 nights July 26 and July 27.!

kyla The plan to meet at the Grand Marina and then onto the Fountain sounds good. We are staying at the Grand Marina so that is convenient!

Aurora1959 I wanted a place with room for all 4 of us, in one room. So we are at the Husa Lilla. Not sure where it is in comparison to the others, or the fountain. But I will see what we can do.

eeyorelvr10 We are staying in what is supposed to be 2 triple rooms in Royal Ramblas which if I remember correctly is at the top of Las Ramblas and close to EL Cortes Ingles. I'm sure I'll have to discover where this store is and shop there. Does anyone now if we can bring food onto the Magic from the local stores?

kidcoos3 We are staying at the Hesperia Presidente. DCL hotel, but we booked it ourselves. Since there are 5 of us, I needed to make sure that we could fit into 2 rooms - those European hotel rooms sure are tiny!! I didn't mind getting 2 rooms, but several hotels wanted us to get 3 - no way!!

MrsG We're staying at the Gran Via Hotel. It seems it was once a small palace??? Anyway, it seems central to the sights and it's easily accessed by metro.

kugalbelle The plan to meet at the Grand Marina and then onto the Fountain sounds good for us too. We are staying at the Grand Marina the night of the 27th, arrive into BCN that morning!

Here are your gift bag matches. Gift bags items should total anywhere from 15-20 dollars. The gifts do not have to be Disney or location specific, but many are leaning toward something highlighting their geographic location- but anything will be great!.
The kids will also swap at the DIS meet on Sunday morning with the parents. It should be a lot of fun! If you are not planning to be at the meet- or if for some reason you cant make it- you can arrange a mini swap with your match at anytime!!!
Please mark your bag with a tag or the name of the person the gift goes to. Carley and I loved doing this- I cant wait to watch them all become friends on our journey and feel secure in knowing that they will have friends to play with and spend time with.

Just wondering if things had started to settle down in London. We will be stopping there for a few days pre-cruise and I wanted to know how difficult it is getting around. Is the additional security a problem for moving about the city?

I just called and added money to our account, I have a nationwide cc and they have no charges when making purchases abroad. Plus I got the exchange rate of 2.3 dollars to the pound. (ok I know its not good for you americans but I was pleased)

London still is very easy to get around there is high security now, so less chance of anything happening and no actual incidents in two weeks, I was stuck in a security alert thats when someone leaves a bag behind.

Its easy to get around and yes there are some checks but nothing more than like the entrance to Disney parks or DCL, we are very well organised and well trained here now.
