Hello All Kid Cruisers and Parents !!
Here are your gift bag matches. Gift bags items should total anywhere from 15-20 dollars. The gifts do not have to be Disney or location specific, but many are leaning toward something highlighting their geographic location- but anything will be great!.
The kids will also swap at the DIS meet on Sunday morning with the parents. It should be a lot of fun! If you are not planning to be at the meet- or if for some reason you cant make it- you can arrange a mini swap with your match at anytime!!!
Please mark your bag with a tag or the name of the person the gift goes to. Carley and I loved doing this- I cant wait to watch them all become friends on our journey and feel secure in knowing that they will have friends to play with and spend time with.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the good wishes. They really warmed me, and I so needed it. Nick is properly contrite, and it's hard for me to remain upset at him. So, we'll go first thing in the morning & wait for the Passport Agency to open. I have his old passport (the one he couldn't find when we renewed the passports in spring & so had to use his birth certificate -- yup, that one), so we'll use that & his drivers license for ID, and we took the two pictures this afternoon, so we're set.

Well, enough of that. Again, thank you so much. You guys are the BEST!

Funny thing is, for all that cruise plans have been distracting me from most everything else (aka work), I've finally found something that is even distracting me from cruise plans.

That is, of course, Harry Potter.

After seeing the midnight premier (not bad), I just finished rereading Order of the Phoenix, and was delighted to find "proof" that Snape is a good guy after all.

It seems that when Harry is taking Oclamancy classes with Snape, he yells at Snape something along the lines of "isn't it your job to find out what Voldemort is saying to his Death Eaters". Snape, rather than being insulted, answers something along the lines of "as a matter of fact, it is".

Obviously, he was following Dumbledore's instructions not to break cover.

Ok, I know it has nothing to do with the cruise, but my departure is still 13 days away, and HP7 is only 7 days away. I better move fast with rereading Half Blood Prince or I may completely run out of time to pack....

DD & I saw HP yesterday and it was very good. We've also decided to reread #6. We were discussing Snape after the movie, and agreed that he really is a good guy after all. So...... I guess it's just 8 more days until we find out. We each preordered the book (like mother like daughter ) and I can't imagine waiting to read it although I should. There goes that Saturday- I'll be reading when I should be doing 1001 things for the cruise.

Please refresh my memory (I know it was posted somewhere). If we are NOT taking Disney Transfers, when we get to port with our luggage, do we take the luggage to our room or do we leave them with the porters? Do we have to use the luggage tags they sent us for that purpose? Can't figure out why else we got them. It doesn't say anywhere that I could find in the cruise docs.

I'm trying to remember back before ME day's when we lugged our oun luggage around and I don't remember carrying it on to the ship.

I just called and added money to our account, I have a nationwide cc and they have no charges when making purchases abroad. Plus I got the exchange rate of 2.3 dollars to the pound. (ok I know its not good for you americans but I was pleased)

I am just wondering I know you can add stateroom credit as a gift, and I know it is in incremements of $25.

Anyone know how much it costs to do this? Also is there a maximum amount.

My thinking is - I would love to pay for our excursions in advance - I was wondering how much it would cost and indeed whether DCL would let me add $1000 to our onboard credit account. I could say it is a gift for my DH is needs be?

Any help would be appreciated

WE purchased Disney giftcards and then called DCL and had them deposited on our OnBoard Credit account. There was no problem. WE have a fundraiser at school to help with the cost of tuition, where we buy giftcards at a discount and the balance goes to pay tuition and/or fees. Disney offered a 7% discount so we ordered enough for all the expenses we expect anyway. THen by adding them to our OBC we don't have to worry about travelling with something that is the same as cash. Now we just have to hope it all went through alright.

As far as timing, I don't think it's too late because when we did it the criedit was immediate.

Hey all - just started to print out confirmation vouchers and hotel confirmation and putting them in my file folder to take with me. I have finally started the process of gathering paperwork.

Also, I bought my FE gifts - doesn't look like we have more than 18 right now. Just wondering if I can get away with the number I have bought for (25) we shall see!

Anyway, I will probably start packing on Saturday or Sunday and am STRONGLY encouraging DD's to pack also.

I have contacted the private tour guides I contracted with and am waiting to hear from them

I am waiting to hear from Private Airport shuttle service to confirm pick-up from Port to Barcelona, from Orly to Paris and from Disney Paris to CDG.

Lets see, anything else I have missed so far?

Oh yeah - my formal clothes - still haven't figured that one out!

Who did you contact for the Orly to Paris shuttle?

Why not? I don't think it will matter. There's been such a rush on the shirts at the end, that I think we're going to see all different versions.
