(Actually, the real reason for this comment is that I'm actually laughing at my own situation - computers in my house outnumber people by a substantial margin)

here too - so how is it everyone wants to use the same one???!

This is so true..8 computers in our house....5 people....and the kids said yesterday, we really need a new computer!!!

Everyone was fighting over the desktop, so I turned it off and said everyone had to use their laptop....

Afternoon everyone....I'M BACK

So how was everyone's day ? I have to say mine was pretty nasty. We got our pay rise letters today and I got a big fat zero, nadda, nothing so that was a bit of a kick in the teeth. Hey Ho onward and upward I have much more important things to get on with...like getting back to chat with all you lot

Actually on a serious note tomorrow is a fairly big day for us. We have our school appeal hearing for Joshua secondary school. For those US folks who don't have to go through this here's a very quick summary. He in London you can apply for any school in London. You can select up to 6 school and then depending on the addmission conditions you get a position at one of them (hopefully) Well we were lucky and Josh got offered a place at our 2nd choice school but we wanted him to go to a faith school so thats the appeal hearing we've got tomorrow. Just me and our representative and a panel of 4 and the school rep. I have to admit I'm a bit freaked out by the thought of it so I need you lot to take my mind off it all

Good luck for tomorrow ....thank goodness we're past that stage now
and both kids settled in senior schools they like.
I'm sure you'll be fine, but just remember that whatever happens
tomorrow, there's very little that can't be changed- it's not ideal, but if he
ends up at second choice school and doesn't like it, he may be able to
switch in Oct half term or at Christmas.
Have seen many friends go through same situation and happily all now
have solutions that suit them. There's enough stress in life without our school system adding to it.
It's a horrible time of year with all the uncertainty.
Anyway will be thinking of you

Here is a picture of my oldest Son Tristan, this was a year ago at the Ren Faire.

This is his little brother Garet, same ride.

And these are my two youngest spoiled brats. Dillon is the cat who things he's a dog. And then Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is my English Springer that just turned 2. He's a great big brother to Dillon, and even shares his bean-bag with him.

Helpful teenager is only an oxymoron when applied to your own teens. In general, and when asked politely, they can very helpful (though the results can be chaotic and surprising at times).

Food as bribes are very good to talk teenage boys into doing anything you need.
