I think I'll go a nice rum drink and sit here and continue on my quest....welcome to the caribbean love.

Since I'm waiting up for my teenage son to come home and he's not due in for another hour and a half.....I think I'll have a go at it.

I've been reading the blogs tonight and I'm getting more excited than ever. It sounds like a busy trip though. I've booked private tours in Rome and Spezia but I haven't booked anything else.

I have a 17 year old son going on the cruise , how many other 16, 17 year olds are there?

We're going to London after the cruise for 4 days and staying in the Mayfair area, any suggestions from anyone on 'must see' places? we've never been so we're open to anything.

I'm getting a bit embarassed at my blatant attempt for my first pirate and also thinking about tomorrow when everyone sees 48 consective postings from me and how that will look.....but what the heck.....I'll just have another rum and no worries mate.

Yes you !!!

And whats with all this Helenitis thats been going on since I've been away
;)
A lot of people stayed up all night posting............who does that remind you of??:rotfl:

Ok , now JoAnn's up and posting which will make me lose count....particularly after the rum.....yikes.

So Joann

way way way back you mentioned a martini tasting -are you still up for it or have I got the wrong idea
:flower3:
I believe it was Margarita tasting (tequila tasting) and I've done it before and let me tell you, it was a GOOD time!! Hopefully, it will be on a sea day.................the only problem is that you have to book right away b/c they do fill up.........let's check it out!!

The Net Nanny program on our computer just blocked this site due to mention of alcohol....yikes again.

I'm sorry, but it seems to me that the seller was a jerk.
If you're a seller, and someone doesn't pay, you send out a friendly reminder before getting nasty (and nasty includes trying to guilt out the buyer).
And if you get a polite apology with payment, the correct response is "I understand, I sometimes forget things also - thanks for remembering and for your kind note".

Everyone blows it on occasion (and we tend to dwell on those failures far more than our successes - odd, isn't it?). In any relationship (business or otherwise) you have to assume that the other person is sometimes going to make mistakes. The measure of their character isn't in the mistakes, but in the way they handle them. If they apologize and try to make it right, and accept your apologies when it's your turn to screw up, they're the kind of people you want to keep around - and the kind of people whose opinion you might want to pay attention to.

But someone who sends an unpleasant note in response to an apology, or loads on the guilt - that's not someone whose opinon of you is worth caring about (though of course it's hard to avoid caring anyway - another odd thing, isn't it?).

Don't beat yourself up because you're dealing with someone who lacks decency.
Agreed!

Ok, since we're talking about pirates, which Pirates of the Caribbean movie did everyone like best? My vote is for the first one. My 12 year old son's is for the third one. My daughter is for any one with Capt. Barbosa, a bit worrying for future boyfriend choices.

Thank you all for your kind words - I took a long walk with my human baby and my doggie babies. It helped.

Dan your right as well as Penny and Sandy, I was just in one bad slump and allowed myself to get down. Now, DH is finally ready to get someting to eat so before I go - here are some thoughts - hope they help someone:

THANK YOU ALL - this is why I come here - to feel like I'm wanted for my humor and mirth (as opposed to girth ;) )

Penny - what part of the Carribean are you from? I love your area of the world. So much so that I try and visit at least once a year. Usually on a cruise! My next place I would  to visit is Martinique - always wanted to go there.

Also, don't feel bad on the pirate: , many of us have stooped as low or lower to achieve one.

Next, whoever asked about the images. If you have photobucket then your hard work is almost done. My dd showed me how but I have since shortcutted it to this:

Once you open your account and posted pictures and have it saved in your album, you notice the 3 lines with the url addresses below it? The ones right below the picture?

One is: URL Link:
Next is: HTML Tag:
Next is: IMG Code:

Well you can click on either of the last 2 HTML or the IMG code - I use the last one - IMG code - right click on it or "copy" it then when you go to DIS and post - just insert it in the post by right-clicking and you already have it all copied and it is inserted and correctly written. It is the not the correct way of doing it but it works for me.

Course it helps if you have the post started already. Cheaters way of doing it but it works for me. Then when I forget to open photobucket, I just minimize it and open photobucket and then do what I have to and minimize photobucket to restore DIS.

Hope this helps. Now off to dinner - or a late night snack for me.

I'm getting a bit embarassed at my blatant attempt for my first pirate and also thinking about tomorrow when everyone sees 48 consective postings from me and how that will look.....but what the heck.....I'll just have another rum and no worries mate.
Don't worry about it! It will just remind everyone of someone else......Helen:confused3 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Laura, I'm in the Western Caribbean near Cuba and Jamaica. We're a tiny, tiny dot on the map , hard to find unless you know where to look. The Disney cruise ships have been coming here regularly since they launched but it seems as if they may be moving away from this area a bit....sorry to see that happen.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I bought something on ebay once and had a hard time with the payment since we're outside of the US and the guy wrote me such a nasty email saying I was a con artist and he was going to report me, it was very upsetting, so I understand how you felt earlier. It all turned out OK though and like the others said it's their problem that they're so unpleasant.

Hey Penny.............I read your tag and I thought you might be looking for a husband and then I read your signature and I see that you already have one! How funny is that???:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
