's' but its not edited -

That's ok MJ - We still like you - you have too much knowledge to hold it against you. :rotfl2:

I saw that too!!! She is scary!

I'm gonna bookmark that one - it'll be good for a laugh

ok all - I'm gonna go for a while - need a break from the boards.

I said I was going, but I really am now. I'm actually going to turn off my computer and go pack for the weekend. I'll check in later this evening.:surfweb:

Fish Extender

Home made using Iron on transfer paper that prints on our home ink jet printer.
You need 1/4 yard of fabric, iron interfacing, wide double fold bias tape, and a 3/8" dowel 8" long.

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"

Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.

I am not a professional! These are just my notes on how I made mine. Good luck!

Kudos to CQUICK for passing on the instructions to me! This is such a fun project

Hmmm...Let's see. I understood "ink jet printer".
Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Don't know about ironing on the interfacing. Doesn't that make the USB cables melt? I'll have to think about that one.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
Is that anything like measuring tape? Or maybe biased tape is tape that hates the use to which you put it?
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Ah, basting I understand. But doesn't the melted butter make a real mess?
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
Ah, lost me with sewing. Never could get the thread through that tiny hole.

I think that's the beauty of language - how it's possible for two people to supposedly speak the same language, and yet be totally unable to communicate. :rolleyes1

That's too funny. reminds me of the old skit where the woman was trying to cook a turkey for the first time. Without any prior experience. Needless to say, the turkey ended up in the bathtub, or was it the washing machine? can't remember which, it was a very long time ago.

I'm a bit of a walker, I did the Moonwalk 2 years back and I do like walking round deck 4 in the early mornings about 7am till 8 am. which covers about 4 miles. Anyone else do any morning walks ?

I am an early riser - I love to walk in the morning. I usually put a load/wash in while everyone is sleeping and head out to deck 4.

Dan, you forgot one...

pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.

... That's like re-upholstering a bench seat.

Ok, off to recital. Can you feel my excitement!
Wonder if they have wireless in the theater. :rotfl2:

It was probably a subconcious omission. Terrible images of pleating sheep attacking and sticking pins into the bottom of my pockets until they were 8" wide. What my leg would look like at that point... I shudder to think of it.

:scared:

Me too, I do the same thing, except I get a cup of coffee and go to deck 10 when I can see the sun rise!!

Can someone please post the good credit card link again. I need to order that credit card,

I think they are letter or mail organizers / sorter/ separater. Believe it or not, I saw something like that once in a Staples store on clearance.
