Lanyard Status 6/11:
Last Call for Orders - I'm really, really am ordering this Wednesday.
I got the badge holder samples and it looks like we can go with the vertical or horizontal holders. Both are fine. The vertical doesn't attach the same as the other but it will be fine. So I will be ordering the vertical badge holder just cause I have a paranoia that the key card could possible fall out of the horizontal one. Disneylover, its item #370 on the kenny product site. Its 2.5x4" big.

ORDER INFORMATION:
Cost will be $2.63 per lanyard which includes a badge holder
Add $1 for each reel. Let me know if you want black or red reels. If you don't say, it will be black.
Total for a lanyard with reel is $3.63.

Payment: I can take paypal payments (basic account, not the premier account) at kylarice at worldnet.att.net. If you don't have paypal, I will take a check. For the UK people who don't have paypal, just pay when you pick up your lanyards, under the table please. Please pm me for my address to pay by check. Design E is the Winner!

It comes with a badge holder: http://www.kennyproducts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=KPI&Product_Code=372
To add a badge reel http://www.kennyproducts.com/Mercha...en=PROD&Store_Code=KPI&Product_Code=425-blank, will be another $1 per badge reel.
I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona or the DIS meetup to pass out.

I posted this on the previous page, but in case you haven't seen. Some people were confused on how things attach together. Hopefully, this will clear it up:

Here is the lanyard with the badge holder (except ours will be vertical)
113321424_front-thumb.jpg
Here is the lanyard with badge reel (except ours will come as two pieces: a lanyard with J hook (as shown in the above pic). Each badge reels has a belt clip in back. The J hook hooks on the belt clip of the badge reel. See the little tab on the badge reel? That will snap onto the top of the badge holder. The badge holder will hold your Key to the World card. The badge reel is not heavy duty. It is a light string and is made to hold the weight of your badge holder.

So here's my story.........I get to work this morning, I have A LOT of work to do to finish the school year, I think, what the heck, I'll just stop in to the boards and check and see how many more posts Helen got overnight............all the sudden I notice.....6970........hmmmmmmmmm.......big pirate coming up.........so I start posting.......not a lot of action.....it's slow but steady.....so I leave the computer on........I check the student assignment books, I think, what can I do to stay on the computer and still keep an eye on the pirate?.........the students are doing their end of the year presentations......I check the boards as they're setting up............all of the sudden we're in the 90s...........I quickly post a few times, then I jump the gun and get 6999..........I'm in trouble........I've missed my chance..........so I take one more shot........I get hit with the 40 SECOND RULE....I'm sweating it out..........14 more seconds..........8 more seconds.........3 MORE SECONDS..... I HAVE NO CHANCE..............pirate: ..........7000 pops up! I quickly get off the computer............:teacher:

HI Helen- as long as we are awake and not exhuasted from our day and night in Paris, there will be 3 of us for dinner- I think I read you list wrong- I thought you had me plus two more, but I realized you only have me down for 2. My daughter will be with us. Thanks:)

oops sorry.

Helen, have a great time with your new car !! I remember my very first car was an MGB- when I first fell in love with England!! I have had many since.. but I will never forget that car.... congrats!!!!:)

??????????????? Hello whats all this whilst I am away??

Andrew -You weren't supposed to be on till late tonight. I thought I could ride around in my new car and then get back on the boards before you -I should have known better :goodvibes

When it comes to copyright issues on the shirt, as long as we are not selling to make a profit, or to other people, i think we are ok. Especially if we just leave it to each person to do their own with iron-ons. There is a website where you can upload your own image and make products with it on it, if we go that route, they might frown on it.

I was the one that posted the link to Pendragon - I think it got messed up in another quote. But yes - I have 5 outfits, and 4 of them are from Pendragon. If you look at the Juliet, I have that in black suede and a white fabric. I also have the Desree bodice in black suede with a green skirt to match DH's outfit that he has from them. my other bodices are just basic ones in various fabrics. The one I was thinking of though was the sea queen - that would make a fine pirate outfit.

The only thing is that their outfits are in layers, and the leather is very hot. When we are doing renfaire's around here and the weather is above 85-90, I don't dress in those. I go with another simple skirt and a simple bodice from them. Or I just wear street clothes. They tend to do a pretty good job replicating an old english village, however, they just can't seem to get the english weather right.

I love this idea - too bad my work schedule wont allow it.

Congrats. pirate:

Of course it does - and you just wait - if you keep on here I am sure the tag fairy will come.

This is why we like Disney - they take charge of the situation and go. I have heard on other cruise ships, that aside from cleaning a few things, life goes on as normal. The problem is that normal is what caused the outbreak.

I personally don't like buffets because of the germs. We were in the Storytellers cafe for dinner, when I saw a kid that was clearly sick, getting their own food at the buffet. I said 'tonight we order off the menu - no objections'.

The potential for a problem is why I am also bringing with me some lysol wipes. I understand they do a decent job at cleaning between guests, but I can't expect them to thoroughly cleanse the whole boat. So for some areas that I know will be prone, I will wipe them down. However, I did find a pretty good list of the areas that are commonly missed by housekeeping, which spread germs. It says you need to use enough to make it look wet, and then let it dry. Otherwise you aren't killing the germs. And if your family has an outbreak, quarantine yourselves in your room, and keep up on the cleaning. (If you can)

Here is the list - not all things will be applicable, but you get the idea
  • guardrails on the verandah
  • sink faucets
  • all door handles and knobs
  • remote controls
  • TV buttons
  • phone
  • ink pens
  • menu book
  • iron
  • coffee pot (handles, etc)
  • refrigerator
  • microwave
  • safe

It also said there was some concern over the comforters on the beds, but that the jury was still out on this being a real concern. Essentially what the theory is that when you checkout, they don’t change the comforter. They change the sheets only. And that if people were sick and sneezing in your hotel room, then the germs could be on the comforters. What they recommended was to not lie down on the bed, without first pulling back that comforter. That way if there are germs from the previous guest, you don't pick them up. Especially for babies those are likely to lie on the bed and put their mouths on it.

Now - my first thought is this. What if the person before you did the same thing? And then they sneezed? If there is a blanket there, I doubt it was getting washed too. So isn't it likely that the germs are there? Or are we supposed to pull it back to the sheets?

Anyways - it was some useful tips. I'll be bringing some wipes, just in case I need them. Not sure I will actually do a thorough cleaning on my cabin once I get there. The whole point is to relax after all.
Great tips!!

Wow, we're almost up to 150 lanyards. Hope it can fit in my suitcase:eek:

Funluvin just ordered lanyards. Was there anyone else who was interested. Seems like there was someone who just joined the thread, was that funluvin?
