July 27, 2008 West Coast Magic - 10 Years of Magical Cruising

Catching the final stage of the Tour, yesterday was great. Today could be interesting.

We also did lawn work, mowed the pasture and lawn. Put together a secretary desk for Lynn to put in the kitchen/dining area, she will have to finish it. Prepped the garage floor for paint today. Ken, I did get the Mt. bikes running, they need a really good cleaning.

Scott - you crack me up. "Mowed the pasture" :lmao:

When I talk about yard work - I'm talking about mowing my huge 400 sq foot lawn. I guess I could call that me "pasture". :rotfl2:

Great finish to the Tour - glad the young kid won it.

Ken

I was pulling for Levi, he over the years has earned a shot at it, but it was good.

Hey we have 2.7 acres... 400 sq foot, can't run many cows on that pasture LOL....

Ken ya just have to get creative... Tell them it is a cultural exchange, and you are going to start a running of the cows in Ventura.... That shoudl work for ya

I think cows are definitely out - we will just have to stay with our "herd" of 3 cats. There's just nothing like herding cats! :rotfl2:

Another Passport question. I'm sure I could find the answer, but I'm too lazy this morning.

When applying in person, is the certified copy of your birth certificate submitted with your application or just shown to the agent when submitting your app?? If it's submitted, with the app, do you get it back when your passport is processed??

360 more days!!!

We did submit our certified copies and they were returned at some point - but I don't remember if they were returned with the passports or before we received the passports.

How did that old tv ad go - you're not getting older, you're getting better! :rotfl2:

Forget the Magic's anniversary - this will be the Scott and Lynn anniversary cruise! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to seeing you guys in September!

Long Beach Airport is the closest - but probably has the fewest flights. LAX or Orange County are the other choices. Depending on the time of day, you will hit mucho traffic no matter which airport you pick. I don't know the port well enough to recommend a hotel -sorry.

There's also a Crowne Plaza and a Doubletree that you might want to check on.

We stayed in the Crowne Plaza in February. We arrived late and left after breakfast for the terminal, so we weren't there long enough to form much of an opinion.

Breakfast, parking for the weekend and round trip transportation to the terminal was included in the price.

Well, we are home from our Med. cruise. I have a cold, cough, and I have to leave to New York tomorrow on business. My time zone thingy is all messed up.

Okay, so here you go:

Robert (58 at time of cruise), Linda (50 at time of cruise) and Jamie (DD-16 at time of cruise). Cabin number-I'm not sure, Main Dining, Salt Lake City, Utah.

And since you asked-one year out what we were doing..........................

We were on the MAGIC in the MED enjoying our last sea day before getting kicked backed to reality.

Talked to Shari this morning (KPROS wife), she and Staci are headed home from Orlando. Had a great time on their cruise. We have to catch up since we haven't been able to talk to each other for three weeks now!

I think we will probably fly to SNA or LGB on Friday night, and hit DL on Saturday before getting on the Magic on Sunday. So, we will probably make a reservation right by DL.

Welcome back Linda - loved your Med blog!

Hi everyone:cool1:

Put names on page one but still need more info from some of you. As we get closer I will get your excursion info and post that also. If we can for sure get your cabin # that would be helpful just incase someone wants to drop you a card or something or for get together info.

Have a great day and am off to clean my house
