No room assignment for us yet; still GTY. I guess if I were to go ahead pay our balance they might give us a room but I hate spending money until I absolutely have to! I was going to wait until tomorrow but just might go ahead today.

I'm not sure what's typical, but the only time we had a GTY reservation was this past summer on the Magic in the Baltic. We didn't get a room assignment until two weeks before the cruise. Now we had only booked about a month and a half out, so maybe that had something to do with it. But it certainly wasn't tied to us paying in full.

That is typical. We have been GTY several times and usually get the assignment within the last month.

DCL is showing no availability for this cruise. We have friends that want to join us. I'm working on trying to get them onboard since we have 2 reservations under our name. We will see what happens after final payments are due. So far a full ship.

This sailing has been completely sold out for a while. A couple months ago I decided to try to upgrade to a suite and there was nothing available. Oh well.....probably couldn't have afforded the difference anyways! Now I'm worried about getting Palo, spa and excursion ressies. I can't book them until around April 27th or so..... I guess I need to get a few more sailings under my belt to get those earlier bookings!

Our friends contacted DU on 1/5 and got an 11 GTY. Our other friends just decided for sure and we are working on that now.....

I just found this board

This is our first Disney Cruise. I am beyond and excited. My son and I will be in one room and my parents will be in another. My son is 6 and I do not think that he has any idea what to expect on the cruise.

I have been looking at the excursions and cannot decide what to do? There are a lot of choices.
