Has anyone ever stayed at Disneyland Paris? If so, do you get magic bands? Should we get a meal plan? (I usually do at WDW) Can we charge on our magic bands/room key? What are some of the can't miss restaurants?

That reminds me that there are direct "business class" flights on La Compagnie from EWR to Paris appox. $1800 RT.

Hello, Im very late posting in this thread but I've only just found you. I'm so glad I did.
I will be travelling with my Husband and daughter (Age 13 ). They are both taking it in their stride but I am totally obsessed and excited.
As I am new to this forum, please will you let me know anything I need to know???

Just booked our Dover => Heathrow (late flight) transfer, which will give us a little extra England on the last day before we return to the States.
.
Taxi meets us at the Port.
A brief visit to Dover Castle and hopefully, "The Grand Shaft".
Then off to Windsor to see the castle there, the train terminal market, and possibly Eton.
(Legoland is nearby, but we've been to the ones in San Diego and Florida already)
They store our luggage nearby while we tour, and then we get a 2nd lift to Heathrow later in the pm.

Potentially have room for 2-4 others and their luggage if we get a bigger vehicle.

Only three weeks - goodness!

Hello and welcome. That's a very open question and we could all answer differently. I would say No1is plan shore trips and consider private shore trips in St Petersburg. No2 book Palo either now or as you board. No3 plan the shows what's on and No4 is organise your spending money currency and cards finally no5 transfers to and from Dover. If you have questions on anything like these or others then ask.

Sounds good but you are packing a lot in. Yes drop Lego land it's too much Windsor is great spend time there as well as Dover Castle. When is your flight and check in?

Also the disembarkation time to me it maybe suspect we were off at 7 am in 2010. I am going to the port of Dover on the 10th to see the Magic I hope to report back either here or on my blog online.

Disney Fantasy, thank you for your welcome and reply.

No 1..I'm currently in the process of planning my shore time.
We have a pretty good idea of the activities and places we want to visit as we have seen all the ports before ( not Tallin) but many years ago so I already have a good overview although I'm sure it's changed a lot since then. Have already booked a small group 2 day tour with a private company in St Petersburg. The other ports we will do everything independently.

No 2,We have a reservation for Palo Stockholm night ( is that good ? ). Brunch was already full unfortunately.

No 3, havnt planned shows yet!!!!

No 4,I've got myself one of those Halifax clarity credit cards which are supposed to be the best for foreign currency withdrawal and also spending. Maybe il get a bit of cash too.

No 5, have booked Yorkshire to London train the day before, staying overnight and then taking the morning train from St Pancras. Very reasonable price. I was tempted to do the Harry Potter tour transfer on the way back, it sounded very good.

I do have a question for you...Can wine tasting/martini tasting be pre booked?

I will probably have a few questions about the ports too.

Hopefully, I'm not doing too badly so far.

Thanks

Looks like your all set, check with your bank that you can use it in Russia and ensure they know dates so it isn't stopped for fraud. Look into the Disney shows.

Mixology testing book as you board at guest services. Unless it's an organised group of 25 people on a private event they cannot be booked in advance.

Someone has organised some tastings exclusively for people on here or another social media site. Beck Braun has organised wine & chocolate 23 July, champagne 26 July & mixology 1 August. Otherwise it's a case of head to guest services once on board to check out availability. If you are interested in any of those contact Becky

Hi Bianca! Glad you found our group! I think our family is going to do the Harry Potter transfer on the way back also. We have an 11 DS and a 7 DD.

An update from concierge to share with you;-

With regards to the shows onboard the ship, we do not receive the onboard schedule in advance to know which shows will be each evening. Also, any additional shows added due to the 12-night sailing is not determined prior to sailing. Currently, the shows that are onboard the Disney Magic are All Aboard: Let the Magic Begin!, Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic, Twice Charmed, Villains Tonight, and Remember the Magic: A Final Farewell. We also are not provided the variety act entertainer schedule prior to sailing. We would recommend checking your Personal Navigator once onboard for any details.

Your dining rotation is not assigned until about 1-2 days prior to sailing and the information is downloaded straight to the ship. We do not receive this information from our dining team prior to sailing. You will find out your rotation when you check-in at the port. However, we do know what the three different dining rotations will be for the sailing and we can request a specific rotation on your reservation. The following are the dining rotations offered:

L - Lumiere's, A - Animator's Palate, and C - Carioca's

Rotation #1: LACLACLACLAC

Rotation #2: ACLACLACLACL

Rotation #3: CLACLACLACLA

Formal Night will be on Thursday July 23rd,
the Frozen night will be on Friday July 31st,
and the Semi-Formal Night will be on Saturday August 1st.
Animator's Palate will feature the special interactive shows on the second and fourth night you are in Animator's Palate no matter which rotation you are scheduled on.

The current movies onboard the Disney Magic are as follows:

Finding Nemo 3D
Frozen
Maleficent
Guardians of the Galaxy
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Big Hero 6
Into the Woods
McFarland USA
Cinderella
Monkey Kingdom
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Tomorrowland
Inside Out

Please keep in mind that we have not received any information for any July premieres at this time. .

The current Onboard Concierge Team scheduled for your sailing will be Andy and Julia.

Thanks for sharing. Seems slightly odd that the show at Animators is on visits 2 and 4 (if I am reading that right) as that would mean one rotation has the show on the same night as frozen whereas I understood on show night they did a more restricted menu with a sampler starter and dessert to give time for the show itself. That would seem to clash with the special frozen menu...

True

So the AP shows should be 4/5/6 and 10/11/12, I recon one may switch.
