Port or Starboard? We just realized we are on the starboard side and we had thought we had asked for port. I know the Dover cliffs are on the port side. What about the other ports? Should we have our travel agent switch this?
Thanks!
bceagle76,
At the moment all I need is names and numbers of passengers. We are charging £20 per seat which is roughly $30. Once people book hotels, I can organise pick up points. In 2010 we picked up from several central London hotels and had a final pick up point at the Park Plaza County hall hotel.
Let me know by PM if you want to book the seats.![]()
do you have email
My wife (TiggerPU88) has checked in, but - since a very memorable visit to Coronado Springs and 3 parks in one rainy late-September weekend - I am a "convert." And we all know that converts are the most fervent believers.
.
While I don't see much point in the Caribbean going-in-circles cruises, we had an unbelievably enjoyable and world-expanding experience on the EBTA back in 2010. Madeira, Cadiz, Gibraltar -- places we would never see on our own -- combined with unbelievable DCL service and crew/cast of thousands (literally) attending to our every need.
We joined up with another family of 3 (same age'd son) on the DisBoards before the trip, ate dinner with them almost every night and have kept in touch / stayed friends with them since. A drink cozy from the trip - listing all our Ports of Call, and given out to our fellow FE'er -- is still one of my favorite souvenirs.
So when we both recently snagged much better jobs, looked at each other, and jointly realized "How/where/when could we ever have a better 16 days together (including several days in London)?" We examined our annual budget, accepted "a sign" from a big tax refund, and figured that 16 months of savings might just do it.
A lot can change between now and then -- be glad Disney's not planning stops in Odessa this summer -- but I trust in the quality and preparation and service of DCL. As our family recalls from back-to-back Caribbean cruises on the Dream during Hurricane Irene in 2011, plans can sometimes change.
Hoping we get a trip that meets our high expectations . . .
Doug.
