Should I be nervous that we don't have our cruise documents yet? What are the cruise documents? We haven't cruised with DCL since almost 5 years ago.

We received our docs yesterday in the mail. It doesn't matter how many you've done, it's still very exciting!

There has been some talk of interest in starting a second FE list. I don't think anyone has officially stepped up to organize it yet though. Perhaps you could, Screnwriter. This is sure to be more joining us as we get closer to sailing.

Ours contained luggage tags - 2 per person, and the excursions we planned. You know all those things that cost more money

Having them in hand just makes it all the more real how fast it is approaching

I ran out to our mailbox and sure enough, our cruise docs were there!

It has our old cabin# on it. I hope this won't delay the delivery of our luggage. If so, our old room is just a few doors down..maybe I could just grab them?

I'm making my DD a countdown calendar to cross off--- 30 more days until we go on our vacation!

You can always call to clarify your cabin #. Our docs had a older flight number in it that we had to update. Quick peace of mind.

A quick update on the Mid-week Coctail Party

Currently we have an adult get-together planned for Wednesday (at sea day) at 10pm meeting in the District lounge and progressing from there. There are some more details in a previous post.

There has been some controversy on the main forums as to the actual day, during the crusie, that the Pirate party takes place. In the past it as always been on night 3, Nassau port day. There have been several recent reports that this is not the case for the 5-night itinerary this spring. Apparently they Parate party is being held on Wednesday- the same night as our planned shindig. If this is case I suggest we just move the party up one night to night 3. We will know for sure on embarkation day and can finalize at the meet-n-greet.

All other factors being the same- time and location - we'll have a great time.

Okay, so I heard there are a couple of other people wanting to join in an FE group, but the original has closed. Who wants to join with me to create a second FE group? I'll keep track of who is participating in ours (if anyone from the original group wants to join us too, that will be fine).

I cannot yet PM anyone until I have submitted 10 posts, but hope to get there soon. In the meantime, feel free to PM me if you can (I can read them) with your information for the FE list. You can include an email address too, if you with.

Hello, and WELCOME to the July Double-dippers crew!

You're in for a great time. My wife and I took a cruise on the Magic for our honeymoon, though that was nearly 12 years ago. (doesn't seem like that long!)

We have a few events currently planned - casual get-togethers, and Castaway 5k- and a few potential ideas in the making. It would be great if you would like to join us for any of them. Also, if you have any suggestions please chime in.

We hope you can make it! I understand there are some options while onboard that may help in the evening. Also, we are planning to attend several of the cocktail, beer, wine, etc tastings during the cruise. They are usually held much earlier in the day. The kids clubs might be a good option at that time. We won't know the exact days or times until onboard as you can't book them ahead of time, but are planning on having them available at our embarkation meet-n-greet. Hopefully any of our group interested would be able to book these as well.

As I mentioned in that previous post, the exact day of the Mid-week cocktail party is not set in stone until we can determine the day of the Pirate party. We should also have that info on day 1.

Our daughter's are 14 and 16 and they will be hitting the teen club. Oldest daughter still keeps in contact with kids she met 2 years ago on the Wonder. They are looking forward to having a great time and making new friends!

We have an 8 year old princess as well. She is so excited just to ride the Aqua Duck never mind the kids clubs, pools,shows, and just the ship. I really don't know who is more excited, me, my DD or our other cruisemates(grandparents and family friends). We are down to 3 1/2 weeks till we leave as we fly to MCO on the 20th. 21st we are going to Discovery Cove, 22nd board Disney Dream and then the 28th board Disney Fantasy. Can't take this waiting!!!!!

I feel like I've been away too long!! Between work, packing to move the weekend we come back from the cruise, All-Star baseball for our 10 year old, and just normal every day life, there is no time for fun stuff.

I'm glad to see that there has been conversation about the Adult meet on Wednesday night, because we had a friend on a recent 5 night cruise who said that Pirate Night was Wednesday. I wish that DCL would stop messing with us!!

As for what we are wearing on semi-formal night, my DH will be in a shirt and tie, no jacket, and I've got a fun dress to wear. I absolutely cannot wait to get all dressed up!! I do wish that we had a formal night, but my DH is glad there isn't!

My cruise documents haven't come yet, but we booked through a travel agent, so our stuff should go there first, and then come here. Plus, we booked a VGT and won't get our room assignment until closer to time.

Is anyone else having trouble getting on the DCL site? I get a stupid Apache/Tomcat error every time I try to log on. I get it on IE, FF, and Crome. Over. It!!

So, while it's hotter than you know what here in Austin, I'm dreaming of warm water, feet in the sand, and 2 weeks with just me and my DH. I cannot wait!!
