**July 2020**

Congratulations on your fastpass success. We booked a couple of days ago and did not do as well. We didn’t get any headliners until day 4 and our trip is only 6 nights. We’d been tracking fastpasses and expecting it though. It’s amazing what a couple of days shift in dates can do. DD and I have been stalking in half hour shifts to try to pick something new up but have been unsuccessful so far.
I hope you end up finding better ones! It's true, just a couple day shift can make a big difference but so can watching for new availability :) Ours is only 6 nights also but again, I wanted late afternoon/early evening most days and also didn't care what day we did what park with the exception of the 4th. Keep checking even though it can be annoying! June FP's weren't great at all but I've been able to modify ours and quite a few clients to better ones. Good luck!

I’m going to be dropping a July reservation at BCV (1 bedroom) within a couple days.
I don’t know if it goes back into the system the same way but we got it on the Sun & Fun discount. Our dates: 7/07-7/13.

Side note: We are still planning to go but DH picked OKW and it is his birthday so...

Well, after a LONG conversation we have come to the conclusion that we will not be going in July. It really stinks. We are out the DVC rental money but I can’t see going with how things are. Heck, I can’t even see the 6 of us flying on a plane for 7 hours in a few months. It just seems too much right now. And honestly, I don’t want to go with half the experience or wearing masks all day in 90 degree heat. Every time I think about it and the trip we had all set for April, it just seems like a shell of what it was supposed to be. Plus my parents can’t join us as planned. I don’t know. I’m sorry if this is bringing people down. I guess I am just sad and need to admit this isn’t going to go the way we planned for the last 2 years. Maybe next year? Or 2022. Hope you all have a great trip in July.

Joining in! Just rescheduled my Memorial Day trip to July 10-14th.

Fingers crossed this one sticks! If not, I've got Labor Day as my Plan L. :-)
We are in the tower at Coronado July 23-26 for (hopefully)m our second trip of July, this one is adults only.
I don't think I got added to roll call. In your defense, I don't even remember if I have commented on this post. I am in and out of the boards so I forget what I have and have not posted. We are June 27-July 5 at POFQ and then an adults only July 23-26 at Gran Destino at CSR. Thanks!
Added to roll call!
:welcome:

Just moved my trip one more time. It was 3/14-3/20, then 5/30-6/5, then 6/1-6/7 and now, hopefully for the final time 7/10-7/17.
We were at AoA with free quick service from the March trip cancellation, then I just realized for $15 more I could move to the Garden building at Contemporary and get free regular dining! So for $15 more I moved us right over!

Monday is my FP day and I’m hoping they’re better than my June days.
:O Whoa, $15 more?!?! Amazing.

So it is May and I still don't feel closer to a decision. We had a mini fireworks dessert party for fun this weekend (watched HEA while having bite sized sweets) and two kids cried because they just want to be 'home'. So I was like 'this will happen no matter what' but then realistically I think about trying to keep a mask on my 4 yo all day, let alone trying to wear one myself all day... and I just don't wanna.

I realized last night I should have made my FPs yesterday but I didn't even buy tickets for the 2nd room's res yet. So then I feel like my subconscious has already let go of this trip...

Might buy the tickets and make some FPs anyway since if we reschedule it will be for 2020 anyway. Life's hard decisions ;)

I'm sorry about your cancellation @wallawallakids and the uncertainty of yours (all of ours!) @MamaJessie, it's so hard for all of us. DVC definitely makes a difference in a decision and I think where we're coming from - how far away and how we're getting there - does too. We all need to decide for ourselves whether it's best to wait it out or not go. The choice isn't the same for each of us and that's ok, no choice is wrong, and many aren't easy or fun :(
Some days it's easier to be positive that's for sure! Being in NY that does mean "bad" days and days with not good information being broadcast, Disney or not, but I am still holding out hope for both our June and July trips. As long as we aren't unrealistic about the possibility of those trips going either way I think hoping is a good thing ::yes:: We had a Disney cruise and WDW stay cancelled in April for DS's 18th birthday and now a back up Memorial weekend trip that had PERFECT FP's and ADR's also not happening, on top of most likely no normal HS graduation for DS and tons of questions about how college will start up in August........so much lost and who cares if others see if as important or not, these are things that are/were important to US!

Everyone hang in there, trip on or off, and be well!

Wow...you really summed up exactly how I'm feeling. It's nice to know that I'm not alone! Thank you for sharing...you definitely made me feel a bit better this morning. Sending positive thoughts to everyone during this time!

I checked roll call - I added you this morning but there was no resort listed so that part is blank.

I know we are all in the same boat - my family is just sick of hearing my constant debating so I figured I would chat here lol

Oops I apologize, July 14-25th at Pop Century (hopefully) thanks! And sending everyone on here positive vibes! ☀

This is the perfect place to chat! My kids are teens and so I know better than to really say anything more than "when/if we go" lol because they ran out of patience listening to me talk about Disney a LONG time ago

If anyone wants something else fun and positive to read (at least in my opinion - those reading along may just be humoring me lol) I started a July PTR which will possibly soon also be a June PTR? Maybe? And then a Sept. PTR for DGD's first trip :love:I'm usually a TR and dining report person so this is quite different for me but it's doing a nice job of keeping me busy, keeping me Disney, and keeping me looking forward to the summer! So feel free to check me out over on that board if you're so inclined :thumbsup2

Can I get added to the roll call? DH and I have an adults-only anniversary/birthday trip scheduled July 6-12, staying at Pop Century 3 nights, then BCV 3 nights. Tomorrow I will be booking FPs and crossing my fingers to get good ones. At the same time, since I'm not 100% confident that WDW will be open, I wonder if all of my work will be for nothing. Depending on the day, I can feel really positive that our trip will happen and then some days I am so sad that it won't. I'm a teacher, so summer is the easiest time for us to take vacation. But at this point, if we can't go in July, I'm ok with using all of my vacation days (I only get 5) in the middle of the school year to take this trip. I'm desperate for some WDW! Aren't we all? :crazy2:

I am still holding out hope for July. What does everyone think about face masks? Do you think they will be required while outside? I can’t imagine how hot that would be.

Shanghai Disneyland is requiring them at all times except for when eating. So it's a very real possibility they will be required at DL/WDW as well when they reopen. Good luck with the July trip!

I think they will be suggested but not mandatory. At least I hope that's the case. Mandatory masks would be a deal breaker for my family and we would cancel our trip.

I think it will be incredibly difficult to enforce. That said, if they’re requiring them, enforcement or not, I don’t think we’ll be going. 1) If a face mask is required, it’s probably not a place I want to go for an extended period of time. 2) (This is childish.) I feel like face masks and character meets cannot be held at the same time. 3) I can almost guarantee I’ll pass out from heat, because I am weak.

It's not childish at all! It doesn't matter how you feel about whether it's best to wear a mask, if there's no point to wearing one, if you're saving the world by wearing one or indifferent. It's how YOU feel. We are required to wear them here in NY if we go in just about any store or any Dr. office (my chiropractor is not requiring them). My boys 14 and 18 are fine, not bothered. DH isn't bothered and wears one to work. I on the other hand HATE it. Regardless of what my feelings are on if it's necessary or not I am super uncomfortable in them and it gives me more anxiety than before we had to wear them, so I don't want to wear them in the parks either. On the 2.5 hour plane ride down to Florida to get to Disney? I'll figure it out lol.
I think there's a chance they'll require them but a greater chance they'll suggest them for guests, I just hope we know SOON!
