July 2016

We are going June 29th- July 9th, and I couldn't be more excited! This will be a second trip for my daughter (she's 10) but since she was only a yr old for the first trip, it's like the first time all over again. Even my 13 yr old son was super excited when we made the announcement!

I really need to stop looking at the Disney website! Just found that they are now booking Deluxe Studios at Boardwalk for families of 5 so I jumped on the deal before they were gone! Less than $300 a night for a studio that has both a microwave and toaster is amazing! I am now officially done changing my plans around!

We were there June 30 - July 7 last year and didn't really notice a difference in the days before vs. the 4th. I honestly don't feel like it was that bad, as long as you plan your FP+. We never waited in line for more than 20 minutes for anything. We just went a few weeks ago and it seemed worse then to me. We are going again July 1 - 12 this year.
Thanks for the reply. I still haven't booked, I am a major slacker. I am now waiting on income tax refund. Filed late this year. I am now contemplating a annual pass to hopefully have a longer time frame with booking and doing a split stay and adding dining plan to room only reservations.

wow, that sounds like a awesome deal!

Booked yesterday. We were watching a Periscope of the final Dream Along with Mickey castle show and next thing I know DH is finishing booking a reservation
I was pricing out on my phone. So ... we will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside July 3-7. REALLY wanting to secure a Wishes Fireworks cruise for the night
of July 3.

Thinking of attempting the MK on July 3 AFTER the fireworks .. I see they have EMH scheduled until midnight .. I'm sure it will still be wall to wall people but should be "cooler" since the sun will have set?

Just an FYI, you do not have to have an annual pass to add a dining plan to a room only reservation :) You just have to call to make your reservations as opposed to booking online.

We will be there on the 3rd after the fireworks! We may actually go right before and watch them at MK. That's what we did last year. They were letting people in through the side entrances to avoid Main Street, we watched from outside of Village Haus. They were delayed a long time because of storms so we were able to ride a few things while we waited. The crowds cleared out a LOT after the fireworks actually :)

I was able to get our family the Wishes Dessert Party the last night of our stay. Our flight doesn't leave until 3:30 so we won't get picked up until 12:30, so no worries about over sleeping our pick up the next day!

OP, if I say 'pretty please with sugar on top', would you consider updating this thread's title to ****The Official July 2016 Thread***

Sorry, I'm a little OCD, and I can't help myself.o_O

Thank you!

So, what I had initially thought was going to be a day or two in Magic Kingdom has now morphed into a nine day trip! First time going in July, I hope the crowds aren't too insane! Happy planning, everyone! I can't wait! :D

We will be going back to WDW July 21-30, 2016 and doing a split-stay between Shades of Green and the Polynesian. This will be our first time staying at the Polynesian and I am excited!

DW & I are taking our two oldest grandkids (ages 9 & 5) to WDW July 13-19, staying in a Royal Room at Riverside. This will be our grandson's first ever trip to WDW (He's the 5 yo). Our granddaughter has been twice to WDW & once to DL, all with us. This is our third stay at POR, but our first extended stay. We're very excited!

I am so excited! Once again we decided to switch back to POR but by doing this our trip is PAID IN FULL as of this morning!!!!! Happy Dance!!!!:dancer: Now no more changing! Looking forward to saving extra for a new Vera Bradley handbag or an Alex and Ani Bracelet!

We ended up rebooking our reservation from the Poly Villas to the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a Savannah View to take advantage of the current deal! I know everyone loves the Poly but I'm excited for my toddler, who is going to love the animals!

We had planned to cancel our trip, with college expenses looming in the fall.

But we're going. And we can't wait!! Our travel agent got us a great rate at the Boardwalk.

I'm doing a bestfrienderversary trip from July 12 to the 17! We are staying at pop right now but thinking of switching to pofq. This will be a kid free trip and we can't wait!
