July 2016

So excited! Booked for my whole family -- 6 adults and 3 kids for July 2-7. Not thrilled about the heat and crowds but I'm so excited to be at Disney. We'll be at Port Orleans Riverside -- I've stayed at French Quarter, but Riverside will be new for me.

Hello! My daughter and I am coming in from Northern California (near San Francisco). We'll be there July 21-July 31. The Down syndrome Congress Convention will be in Orlando July 21-24....but we're staying on until the 31st. We're staying at The Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We stayed there in November 2013. Loved it. :-)

No one else in my family (a family of 5) will come out in July. Too hot. Too humid. Too crowded. They loved the times we have gone in early May or Nov. One daughter lives near Disneyland, so we go there often (we are Annual Pass holders)...but my one daughter and I are willing to brave the heat and will head out to enjoy the convention and and the parks.

We already have two ADRs...BOG and SciFi...We are still deciding on where else we want to eat. We also plan on two days at Harry Potter World (we have been there before). We plan on renting a car...so we have many options for dining (also since we will be in a condo...breakfasts will save some $$).

But...we are excited for the trip! I just wish airfares from San Francisco were cheaper. :-(

Going to WDW July 25th-28th and then Disneyland from July 28th-August 3rd. Celebrating my 30th birthday!! We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and then Disneyland Hotel. Adrs booked: Whispering Canyon, Sannaa, (Tiffins ROL Package?), Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill, Mama Melrose, Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Gardenview Tea, Hoop De Doo... so excited!!!!!!!

We just booked our trip for July 12th-16th to celebrate my son's first hearing birthday! It'll be a year since he received his cochlear implants, and what better place for him to celebrate than with Mickey, who also has magic ears?! I've been to Disneyland a few times but never WDW. We're staying at the Polynesian Villas and they look beautiful. Last night I booked a few ADRs...Ohana, BOG, Tusker House, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Whispering Canyon. The trip is really for our almost 2-year-old, but I can't help being so excited to see everything!

Summer discounts are out! Took the plunge and upgraded to the Yatch Club Garden Veiw for only $400 more than I was paying for my room at POR. (The discount for that would of only saved me $100 so why not upgrade!). So excited! I think I am going to wait and surprise the family with the upgrade until we get there!

We are going July 15-24 staying at All Star Sports. Not sure on the amount of park days as my niece has her dance competition at the Contemporary that week.

Booked this morning with the Awaken Your Summer discount. July 10-19 POR Riverside. Taking my 12 year old niece for her 1st time. So excited for her to go with us!

I'm curious to get everyone's thoughts on how crowded it will be around July (specifically july 4). Various sites have said crowd level 10 (which doesn't surprise me) but will it be absolutely packed-to-the-gills crowded? I normally in February but the week of July 2-7 was the only time I could get my whole family together. I'm definitely going to push the arrive early, afternoon break, come back at night plan, but will even that be a crowd of horrors?

Body to body crowded, but if it's any consolation, most likely there will be extended hours. RD will be a necessity even with FP+, not to mention the MK will quickly reach capacity on the 4th. Yes definitely try to take an afternoon break, and return to the parks in the evening to enjoy the late hours.
We will be there in mid July. Not exactly our favorite month either, but it was the only way we could make it work. Just keep everyone well hydrated, don't try to do it all, and have the best time ever!

I was looking for a July 2016 thread too. We are booking(haven't done so yet) for possibly june 26-july 3rd, wondering if it is as crazy on the days leading to the 4th as it is on the 4th. We have never been to disney on a actual holiday before.

Good Day To All July Disney Planners

Bob here, Midori and I have skipped the past 2 years since DD has been traveling abroad during summer break... Miss going in July and also visiting with fellow Dis-Board Friends.

Happy Planning!!!!!!:yay:

We missed our July planning last year; we had to go in April due to extended family coming along. This year we're happy to be back in July. Sorry you can't plan along with us, but I'm sure your DD will have a fun time exploring abroad. Have a wonderful summer!:sunny:

I love the Disney planning, but I end up thinking way too much! Lol! So switched back to POR for our trip but upgraded to a Preferred room to be closer to the main building. Still saving money so we decided to add an additional ADR to our itinerary! Now looking forward to our stay at POR and now a Garden Grill breakfast reservation our first morning in the parks!

July 2016 here! I will be there July 10-15. This will be a solo trip (kinda) Have some friends going for work who asked me to road trip with them. They are staying offsite for work conference and only out early Wed to meet up with me at the parks but I plan on a 5 day ticket and so excited. Usually it is me, husband and my 2 boys so this will be a different experience. I have Be Our Guest lunch planned and one afternoon I have a massage and afternoon tea planned. I plan on hitting Hollywood Studios 1 day and MK and Epcot both 2 days each.

My DH and I have decided to brave the Florida heat. We usually go in the winter, so this will be new to us. As will leaving the kids behind! Looking forward to spending some time with my wonderful hubby, but the heat and humidity scare me! I'm assuming that we will hit the parks early in the morning, return to our resort for an afternoon rest, and back to the parks in the evening. It's been three years since I've be to my favorite place in the world, so I'm excited!

We were there June 30 - July 7 last year and didn't really notice a difference in the days before vs. the 4th. I honestly don't feel like it was that bad, as long as you plan your FP+. We never waited in line for more than 20 minutes for anything. We just went a few weeks ago and it seemed worse then to me. We are going again July 1 - 12 this year.

We're planning to go to the parks in the morning, come back for naptime, and maybe go back out late afternoon...will it still be too hot/humid by then? I'd rather be out in the evening, but our schedule doesn't really allow for that!

I think late afternoon (3-5pm) is about the hottest part of the day. We tried to be at the pool at that time of day. Also, in the summer there can be frequent thunderstorms at that time of day. We had storms over half of the week right around that time when we were there.
