July 2013 Discounts

We just booked through AAA for July 16-26th (5 nights at CSR, 5 nights at POR). I think the discount was about 10%. We saved $251 compared to the quotes we got at Disney's website and calling them directly.

Does anyone know if they typically offer anything in the month of July? I didn't think they did because no need to since they are crowded then anyway? I am hoping/praying they do something :tinker: My fingers are crossed :thumbsup2

For the last 3 years they have offered a room only discount to the general public but the earliest it has been offered is April. Here is the website that has the last 3 years discounts. :)

Okay, count me in. We just decided to go to WDW in July, and we really need a discount. Please, oh please, oh please, oh please.:worship:

I highly recommend Small World Vacations! I haven't been able to book yet, but Cissy gave me a quote and it was cheaper than going directly through Disney!

Hope you don't mind me joining in!! We had to move our vacation yesterday from May/June to July.

Our dates are July 19-27th BC/YC.

Haven't been in July since 2010..............wonder how much busier it will be this year with FLE???

We've been in July for the last three years. I expect it to be just as busy if not more this July. We usually go during school breaks so I can't even begin to compare the differences. The summer has been just as busy as Easter and President's week. I have not noticed a difference in crowds from the any summer though.

We do the RD, break, then dinner and some kind of evening entertainment touring. RD in the summer works very well.

I'm wondering how I will strategize if the FP + is available this summer. I might still do the RD, then break, and then evening entertainment along with FP +. I'll be paying close attention to the boards. I'm hoping that I won't need to schedule FP+ for the morning hours and that RD will still be adequate.

diskids2: I'm curious about the FP+ also!!

Didn't really think about it when our trip was scheduled for May, but now that it's July I would be interested in using it!!

What's RD? And how is the Fastpass+ work?

Haven't been around the boards reading much lately.

RD - Rope Drop

Not real sure about the Fastpass +, but I think you can "schedule" the time you want to ride a certain ride in advance.

Thanks for the explanations ocalla.

I don't think it will be busier than other summers just because of the fantasyland expansion. We usually go in summer and it's always crowded but definitely doable if you plan accordingly.

Subscribing in hopes that it will bring Good Luck!

Already booked for POR 07/28 - 08/04 through AAA. Haven't been since Aug 2009, so we're really looking forward to the trip. A nice incentive offer would only make the smiles brighter!

Thanks for letting me share...

subscribing.....Hoping for a discount in July!!

Called and spoke with one of the lead CM's at Disney today (I requested a "manager") to ask a few questions about the current Disney Visa Offer and PIN numbers to clear some things up (ie. can I book with my Disney Visa now and if a DV offer comes out for July later have it applied, etc.) I know regular offers can be applied but was not sure about DV offers.

Anyways, after a long conversation with someone who called herself "Destiny," I was told to expect an offer most likely late March/Early April "very similar" to the current DV offer to be applied to late July/early August. Not sure how accurate this is (probably not very) but was a bit uplifting.

As for PINS, I was told that they are not told/given any pin information for the next summer until they walk in to their office/desk closer to the summer.

Very nice person who took the time to answer all of my questions.

Not sure if this helps anyone.

What is the Disney Visa offer right now?
