Nope...just that one. I meant to search them out this time too. I really wanted the Tink in your hand one

When did the Yeti get fixed!!!! :scared1:

I don't know...but it scared the crap out of me because I wasn't expecting him to move! Maybe he used to move more?? Was he moving at all when you last rode?? I was watching the Behind the Scenes show on the Travel Channel the other night and I didn't think he moved as much as that one shows, but he definitely swung his arm down at us all three times we rode it. :confused3

Well, we got there right after opening, and left around 1, so that was 4 hours. ::yes:: We did everything we wanted to do. Except, I meant to take the train up to Rafiki's and totally forgot about it. I really wanted to do that with Dani since she wants to be a vet. I was hoping we would get to see some procedures being done. Dum dum dummy Suzi :sad2:

Nope he was not working when we were there.. Like you, we rode it as much as possible!

I guess we were just lucky then :confused3. All I know is that I wasn't expecting it and it scared the bejeezes out of me! I think it scared Dani too. I was just telling her in line all about the Yeti and how it didn't work anymore...then wham! He was grabbing for us :lmao:

Solana - You got Midori and I wanting to take the first flight to Orlando Saturday morning. My online WDW reservation ticket says 297. Dont know if we can wait.....

Can't wait to ride Everest and Kali again...

Oh by the way, Midori and her Volleyball team has won their first 2 games. Midori scored big time on her serves. The coach calls her the money maker. This is her 3rd year playing Volleyball for her school.

Awesome update!!!

We LOVE AK so much - and I loved seeing your pictures!

We love the FOLK show at AK - such a shame - rumor has it that it may be closing down for Avatar land... Hmph... It's on the rumor board, but I am not sure how true it is - the notice for the gymnasts in FOLK or Avatar land (which, IMO, is stupid)...

Anyways....

LOVE< LOVE< LOVE< LOVE EE!!!!! It is soooo close to Splash in my favorites list - that when I am ON it, it actually passes Splash for a few minutes for first place. But I would never admit that in public, so don't ask me to. ;)

Loved the update! Looks like you had a blast in AK! :)

I hate Expedition Everest. It made me almost pass out! LOL - Too fast, too backwards, too dark. Oh, well - that last one may have been cause my eyes were glued shut from the second we plummeted backwards from the broken tracks! LMAO! I do intend on sending my DH onto it solo when we go next year. LOL!!! (I'm bad, I know - but it's DISNEY - it can't be THAT bad!) *wink wink*

Thanks Bob! I know what you mean...my wait is longer than yours...so long that I don't even have a ticker yet. November 2013 is a LONG way away

Congrats to Midori! I was never a big volleyball player, even though I grew up with a beach, I just never learned how to hit the darn thing without killing my hand/arm.

Thanks D! I had heard those rumors too. I think an Avatar land would be awesome! But I would like to see them move the FOTLK somewhere else. It is just such a fun show and it is hard to get kids interrested in theater...much less boys! Oh well....we will see.

Yeah, EE is pretty cool. ::yes:: I think I like the theme better at Splash, but the ride is better at EE IMO. We did have a good time that morning even though AK is still not my favorite park. Just feels too much like Busch Gardens and I have been there many many times :confused3 But it is growing on me thanks to EE :)

Well, yes....I can see where it would make you sick if you had your eyes closed silly! :joker: And I can't wait to get my hubby on that. Unfortunately, he isn't coming with us on the next trip, so it will at least be 3 or 4 years before I get him on it. Hopefully they don't get rid of it by then.

you are defiantly rockin this report!!! you have me laughing so hard!!!!

Thanks Mo! :upsidedow

It sounds like you had a fun morning at AK! Great photopass pics with Pooh and friends.:thumbsup2

Love EE! So cool that you got to ride it 3 times back to back!!:cool1:

FOTLK is such a great show! Glad you enjoyed it!:goodvibes

Thanks Angie! Taking more time at AK this trip was nice. I didn't like it at all in Feb....but it was my first time there and I just kept getting lost and it was our first park day, so we were all tired. This time around Dani and I were ready for just exploring and it made things so much better.

Ok, so when we last left off Dani and I had spent a great morning at AK and it was about lunchtime now. So we made the long walk (why did they have to put the buses so far away at AK?) over to the bus stop and then the long walk all the way down to the POFQ stop. We were first in line, so I assumed that we had just missed another bus. But soon enough we were back at our beloved French Quarter. We skipped back to the room for our mugs then walked back up to Sassagoula to see what we could find.

On a side note. I'm not sure I would get the mugs again. I didn't notice it being so annoying at the Poly to go back to your room and drop off the mugs before heading out, but for some reason at FQ it was such a pain. Next time I would either just take them to the parks with us, or not buy them. Probably with just Bradey and I next November...(ticker coming soon)...I think we could get away with just sharing drinks. Who knows. Time will tell.

So back to July....

Dani and I both decided on the Po' Boys. She got the chicken and I got the pork. We split them half and half. Here's a shot of both on my plate.

Chicken on the left and pork on the right. These were yummy and huge! We could've easily split just one of them, but I was glad we tried the two kinds. The chicken was very tender and went well with the pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. The pork one was fantastic. It had a pulled pork with all the veggies. Yum!

We sat out in the area in front of Scat Cats club because we wanted it a bit more quiet than the dining room. It was neat to sit and eat off to the side of the lobby. I like to people watch and we got to see the new people just checking in. Fun to see their expressions when they first walked into that amazing building.

So after a very filling lunch (of course we had to eat it all!) we went back to the room to relax. It was about 2pm by now. We took a dip in the pool, then showered and chilled out watching a little Stacey in the room. Then around 5 we decided to head on over to Hollywood Studios to see how much we could get done.

Pictures are few and far between on this afternoon. But I know we went right over to get FPs for ToT first. The time wasn't until after 8, so we wandered over to the backlot tour and walked right up as they were heading in for the Special Effects show. I love this tour because it is just the same as it was when I was little and it brings back memories. Dani enjoyed it I think. I made her sit on the inside of the tram so she would get wet at the canyon ::yes::

We hit up Star Tours and can I just say this ride is AWESOME! I am not a huge Star Wars fan, but I have seen the movies and I just really enjoyed the simulation. I still can't believe how real it feels! We then walked around the Streets of America. I was determined to find that darn Umbrella this time around. We did find it, but a tour group was taking up all the space there, so we kept moving.

We were both still kinda full from our late lunch, but we wanted a little something. I really really wanted to try one of the yummy Starring Rolls cupcakes, but they were closed by then. So we headed over to the Beverly Sunset. We both got a slushy type drink, I got a huge chocolate chip cookie and Dani got a chocolate covered pineapple stick. We sucked those babies down on our way over to ToT.

We were about 20mins away from our FP return time, and the line didn't look that long. So we decided to wait in line and see if we could get two rides in. Well, the line wasn't moving very fast and our return time came. I had never been on this ride before, so we asked the people next to us if the line was much longer once you got into the building. We were just before the doors going in. They said it wound back and forth inside quite a bit, so we decided to hop over to the FP line instead. I was afraid it would take too long and we would miss our window. Well, turns out the people that were behind us in line actually got in the same elevator as us. So we could've waited and then gone twice :furious: Well, now I know.

But the ride was great! I was expecting just an up and then drop type ride. I didn't know there was a whole story to it and you went around and through the "hotel". We both loved it!

We stayed at HS until about 9, then headed back to bed. We got everything accomplished other than RnR. We would be back in the morning....

Today is my 10th anniversary and we are going away for the weekend. I'm a little nervous because the activities I have planned are all outdoors things and the forecast isn't looking too great. But we will see what happens. I'll give you a mini TR on Monday if I have time. The place looks beautiful and the foliage is just starting to turn here, so it should be fun and relaxing.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Great update! Sounds like the use of the EMH has really worked out well for the two of you. We are going with both kids, (hoping for Nov 2013 as well) and my DH's first time next time, so I think we will just do the whole RD thing again. It's shorter park hours then too, and I kind of like that for being there with 2 kids. And it will be nice to not have to shower twice a day like we did in April! LOL

Awesome! Maybe we will be there together! I'm not sure on dates yet. Would like to surprise him with a birthday trip. His bday is on the 7th which is a Thursday next year....so I could have his party on the Saturday and leave on the Sunday of that next week. I have to figure it out.

But yes, EMHs were our friend that's for sure. And I'm with ya on the not showering twice a day. It was hard to go for 5 days, but bring enough outfits for two weeks :rotfl:

I just wanted to say that I'm loving your trip report! My partner and I are going in December and have some park hopping planned, so it's nice to see a report where someone doesn't that and it isn't awful.

Thank you so much! And hopping is great. It helps you get out of the crowds and just do what you like in each park. Plus...it is so much easier to plan meals in the parks because it doesn't really matter which park you are in for which day if you have the hopper pass. I will never go to WDW without the ParkHopper option. It just makes planning so much less stressful and is so worth the extra money for me. And Disney transportation makes hopping so easy! :drive:

Oh my gosh... and you are staying at the Little Mermaid section of AoA??!! So jealous! Can't wait to see your TR about that trip.
