So my FW and I have booked our date and of course we are going to Disney for our honeymoon :) We always stay in the value resorts are money is VERY tight for us! I really wanted to stay in a moderate or my dream would be a deluxe but who am I kidding lol... my question is do they ever offer discount codes for booking for July time? I know its summer time and the kids are home so I am worried! My FW said we can wait for our honeymoon, but I will be graduating next year with my second Masters and I don't know where our life will be then.. my job situation and us moving out of my mom's house ect... so I wanted to go right after our wedding which is July 3, 2012. We would be driving as we both hate flying and I take way to much luggage lol I was thinking of leaving July 5th and arriving July 6th. I want to incorporate Universal first and then head to Disney after. I have seen discounts for August to March and then Sometimes May. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

i am also going to try and call to see if we have a pin code in our names!

I know you want to stay onsite and I don't want to discourage you because I love staying on site but for this you may want to stay offsite and get a rental car. You'll be able to get a much more honeymoon like suite at another hotel for far less then staying at a deluxe just start searching and contacting hotels and find out what they have for honeymoon packages. You also may get free tickets depending on the hotel. I'd say if your not driving then you can rent a car you'd be surprised at how much more convenient it is to using disney transportation. Take the money you save and do more things you want to do like maybe a dolphin swim or behind scenes tour or something of that nature.

Absolutely! There are definitely discounts in July--we just got back from a trip that I booked with a room only discount. We stayed at AKL for our first time and loved it! I think it was either 30% or 40% off but can't say for sure which it was. Just save up as much as you can, even if you are saving change and giving up one movie a week. You can get in the resort of your dreams :)

Just a suggestion: if you can afford a mod but not a deluxe, then I would take the mansions at POR. It is such a romantic setting with the river running through it and is super relaxing! You could do a carriage ride one evening too.:flower3:

I would look into renting DVC points. For July, you can stay at the BoardWalk Villas (standard view Studio) for approximately $140 per night Sunday through Thursday and $190 per night Friday and Saturday ($1,080 per week). That assumes you can get the going rate of $10 per point for DVC rentals.

My family and I rented that room type in January at about the 9 month mark, but July is busier than January, so I wouldn't delay. Head to the Rent/Trade Board: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

My hubby and I just got back from our honeymoon. We were there July 24th-29th. We stayed at the Poly club level theme park view with a 40% discount.
