July 2011 Check in Thread Post your travel dates and hotel here

So true, Daisybelle! But I won't be one of them. I live near the beach and in July it can still be a little on the cold side.

Yesterday was a bitter cold. More like what we experience in January. In fact, it snowed in some of our local mountains. And it was cold today, too. I am ready for some warmth. So I won't be one of those lamented about the heat.

The only heat I really can't tolerate is the Santa Anna winds that come in September/October. That's is when So. Cal. is in danger of wildfires. That heat is dry and windy and there is no relief from it even when the sun sets. the sweltering heat will last through the night, to carry on to the next day. That kind of heat doesn't usually hit in July. Thank goodness!

I'm in the Wilamette Valley in Oregon and we rarely get any extreme weather. We have hot days in the summer but it cools down so nice in the evening. After the over-abundance of rain and chill we've had this year so far though, I must admit I'm looking forward to some glaring sunshine and warmth this July! I'll just bring a vat of sunscreen and a floppy hat. :goodvibes

Update for my trip -- my group and I are staying at the Fairfield Inn instead of the Carousel. At least until Disney releases hopeful specials for the on-site hotels on our dates!

OrcaPotter, I have made the hotel change on the list and will be ready to make another one if you get your special at a DLR hotel. :cutie:

Have a good Monday!

An overnighter at the Disneyland Hotel for the 4th of July!! We have premium passes & thought to try a holiday! We've done holiday stay in WDW but not DL.

hjgaus, added your one day stay at the DLH. It should be fun. If you want to see the fireworks, try to get a spot by late afternoon or earlier. I have heard that the park gets very busy as it gets dark.

jessredrabbit,

Welcome to DISboards :welcome:

I have added your info to the first post. You should have a great time.

In just about week, those of us that are arriving for the July 4th weekend will be able to make those dining reservations!

It is getting closer to summer and our DL trips.

I've got the date marked on my calendar to make ressies. :)

WOC Ariel's, Carnation Cafe, Blue Bayou, and Rainforest cafe. Very excited, not long to go.

Feathers, for a July 1 check in (which I Have) it is only five more days until I make my dining reservations. You check in soon after.

I like your choices for your trip. You should have a great time.

My group is making final decisions on what must be reserved as far as eating once our window opens. So far, we're planning on Goofy's Kitchen and the WOC premium meal at Ariel's Grotto. Anyone have suggestions for meals requiring reservations that just can't be missed? popcorn:::cutie:
