Yeah,

I wouldn't worry about the tour groups. IMHO, their impact gets overplayed. Yes, if you see a group of 50+ teens in the same color shirt heading for Splash Mountain, it might be best to stop back later, but other than that, just enjoy your vacation. And for the "rude" part, I've been privy to more rudeness from hot, tired, and grumpy Americans than tropically-tempered Brazilians. And I always go in July.

Yeah, it's funny. My ONLY complaint about them, in Jan 2009, was that they were EVERYWHERE. And teenagers. But they weren't at all terrible and they weren't even large groups of ill-behaved teenagers, you know? There was a rude one here and there I encountered, but no different than anyone else. The worst I saw was a tour guide, who tried to cut off marathoners, to get his group across the race path. His followers didn't follow.

Then, at the end of the week, we discovered that at least one group had been staying in our resort!

Ultimately, if it wasn't Brazilian tour groups, it would be some other group. Until I can have Disney World private to me for a day, that's how it goes, right?!

(And anyone got enough money I can have to make that happen?!)

Last day of work is underway! Less than 7 hours until vacation and 3 sleeps until we leave!

Unfortunately, DD is feeling under the weather, so hopefully she's feeling better by 6pm when we head out! She's better today than yesterday, so we're crossing our fingers!

Good luck with travelling light. I have done the same thing - avoided it because I need to travel lighter than usual since we are flying this time....there are advantages to driving!

We are heading out this afternoon!! Still have to pack the rental van, pick up my niece, and finish up a few minor things. Today is Erica's 8th birthday so we will celebrate with my sister when we get to Cincinnati this evening. Can't wait to get to Disney tomorrow!!!

Everyone has a different opinion/view on things. It seems that January and July are the times for the Brazilian tour groups, so I've dealt with them in January. I never really had a problem with them. I think they stand out more, like any group of people all dressed in the same color shirt, traveling together would. In January, it seemed like a lot of teens to me, so I think any group of teens might seem rude or obnoxious. Inconsiderate of others maybe, but then I find that can be said for a lot of people. Unfortunately these tour groups just stand out more. I hope you don't encounter any problems. Focus on enjoying your vacation!

The group that we were on the plane with had a girl sitting next to my son, chatting away to him. They told him the trips are something they do when they are 15 I think most of them are just about getting to go away without their parents, not really trying to cause trouble. I'm sure you'll enjoy your vacation without much impact from them

That's where I'm staying, too. I'm so excited, because I've never stayed there before. I've never even visited the Boardwalk area before. We leave in 11 days!!

Sounds like you guys had fun today! We didn't do a whole lot, although I think I picked up the absolute last of what i *had* to buy for this trip!

I'm pretty sure I got everything we needed done (although I admit I had to buy poncho's here because I didn't when I was home). Now we are all about killing time lol.

Hi from DISNEY!!!! Our trip has been AWESOME so far! We got upgraded to a tower room at the Contemporary WOOHOO!!!!!!

Had Sammie's birthday celebration at CRT tonight and it was amazing!!!!

Free wifi in the lobby of Contemporary Resort so thought I'd pop in to say hi Will be doing a trip report when we get back!!!

Kellie~ Happy Birthday to Sammie! I hope she had a great time in Cindy's Castle! Also on the upgrade, make sure to take loads of pics of your room and the view!

Now I am confused.

I was a day off all week. I think it was the holiday. Either way, today is Friday, July 8, 2011 I don't know if that actually matters or not, because there is no date as important to me at the moment as Tuesday, 7/19/11. The rest of the days can just go 'way~

Oh and I hope no texting or email or call means your DH is on his way home

Enjoy NYC! We are supposed to have pretty good weather this week. It's always hot and sticky in July, but storms are cooling us somewhat. Be sure to pack your umbrella, although there are a billion little shops and stands in the city to get one if you forget!

FOUR DAYS until we leave for WDW! Not sure who is more excited, me and DH or the kids! We are ALMOST all packed. The only things we have left to pack are the cameras and chargers and the ipad, DS and chargers, oh and cell chargers. That reminds me that I need to make the 'last minute stuff' list to put on the inside of the front door so I don't forget them!

We did our online check in last Saturday and can check in with Delta on Monday (24hrs I think) Turns out that grandma, who just moved to Boca Raton, will be able to meet us next Saturday for a bit and then we have a 1900 PF breakfast with her on Sunday before she goes home. She won't be able to handle the parks at all, but will just enjoy lounging by the pool and hitting the shops in DTD. My kids really miss her, so it will be a thrill for them.

DD got her nails done. DD wanted Taco Bell. All packed and re-scheduled the company driver to pick us up at 3 AM instead of 4 AM. I found out 50% of the Alcon and Kenneth Copeland Conventioneer's are leaving first thing tomorrow morning.

Decided to get to the airport an hour earlier to get a head start in the security lines.

Dropped Kavick (Dog) at my Boss's house and now just resting.
