I had a question for the Meet in MK by the Dole whips.

Do we want to bring a little trinket from our areas as well? If so, how many of us plan to be there?

If not, that is all good too. Sharing a Dole Whip will be memory enough!

When is the meet at MK?? I only knew about the one on July 20 @ Epcot --- we've already made other plans for that day -- would love to know about the MK meet!!

What dates are you there? Maybe try setting something up that would work for your dates and see if anyone else will be there to meet! I think that is how both the other ones started up!

Saturday, here in Michigan, our heat index hit 101. I assure you, I complain about it as much here as I do in Florida!

YEP...people are complaining left & right here with the heat the past few days and I'm just smiling going "NOT going to complain"...first off it's hot but Florida will be worse & 2nd of all I'll take this over snow!

I just heard on the news today we are supposed to get something like 98 degrees today and the last time it got that hot was in 1993? on this day and then we plummet back to around 65 tomorrow with storms or something crazy like that! People are going to be complaining if it drops that much that they are freezing (and want the heat back! ).

I just really hope we can get the A/C in my car fixed before we go because then I KNOW we will have an issue. It doesn't even have to be a good fix, just one that last the few days of the drive, since once we park the car - we probably won't need it until the drive home. Otherwise it might be the old fashioned 2-60 version of A/C but that's not so good on the Interstates.

WDWdancerwannabe, I knew what you meant. Sorry if my playful sarcasm didn't come through properly. Maybe you can check the list to see who else will be there during your stay (page 1 of thread). You may be able to set up another meet!

93 today, supposed to hit 98 tomorrow. I feel like FL slid up the east coast here.

I did manage to get one pair of thin swim like-shorts at Sports Authority. I wanted another, but they didn't have my size. I came home and went online figuring I could get them that way. Ummmm...nope, the search turned up nothing. It's as if they don't exist. They are adidas shorts with drawstring at waist and leg bottoms and no stripes. The are just called bermudas. I even tried searching by the item number on the tag. Still nothing. I know they were on sale, but you would figure they'd show up somewhere else!

How strange is that???????

I wish I'd be there on the 10th, too. It would be fun to do both meets

I think the only way Florida will be worse is because of the sheer # of people! Last year, during our town's annual Art Fair, we got to something insane - 103? 105? heat index. It was crowded. It was full of tourists, dressed weirdly, without their manners, and making me grumpy. I shouted, as the thunderstorm then hit "THIS IS DISNEY TEMPERATURES! I WOULD RATHER BE THERE!"

... getting my chance, yupyup...

We don't get a lot of snow. It's just that our winters are grey and cold. I like fall the best, for weather, but that's how it goes.

I had to get the AC in my car fixed reciently too. Lucky enough though it was a recall fix and the car is still under warranty so it cost me nada

So get this, I find someone to cat sit one of my kitties (my mom has 2 cats and says I can bring my older one because she likes him...he plays fetch so he has that in his corner) AFTER she tells me I can only bring the one...then last night she tells me that I can bring both of them because the younger one is now declawed. So how do I tell the lady I talked to that I wont be needing her services anymore?

Still no sign of DME mail or TA mail for that matter. Half tempted to call and ask when I can expect those lovely things.

I only get the DME stuff every other trip, I swear, without my TA having to do a LOT of wrangling. Even then, the accuracy is limited. I haven't received my TA mail, yet, either and it looks like we arrive a few days before you!

YAY YAY YAY!!! I just paid for our trip!!! I absolutly can not wait! I am so excited! We're staying at Pop Century July 15-20. If anyone has any tips for beating the heat, let me know!

Yippeee!!!! My mickey mail just came. That must mean that it is almost time to start packing Just have to finish a couple of last minute things.

My brother and his wife along with our parents, myself and my husband are all surprising the kids with an 8 night trip to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. We were one of the lucky ones to receive free dining during this time! We frequent Disney, but always stick with the value resorts. I have only stayed at Caribbean Beach one time before, 7 years ago. So, I am pretty excited to go back. Just as long as I can contain the excitement around the kids

We will be there July 25th-August 2nd

This will be my DD's (6) first trip to the World. I would like to get her an autograph book. Can I buy any old ordinary autograph book and bring it with me? Or are the ones at the parks special in some way? I was just at Target this morning and saw journals featuring a mickey mouse cover that was $5.99. Good idea? What have all you frequent visitors done?

They do sell the Disney ones in every store and your resort should have one. If you are creative you can even make your own. The last few trips we have done that.

Today was in the low 90's. I was the chaperone on DD's trip to Mystic Aquariam. I was happy that it was hot so I can get mentally prepared for Disney. And tomorrow is going to be close to 100
