July 2007 TR

While we wait expectantly for the rest of the story I humbly offer a t shirt in honor of those who know that while Disney World may be for lovers, it is not for sleepers!!:rotfl:

Thank goodness you found your wallet! I completely shared your panic with you while you were searching for it.

OK, I gotta tell you my Dumbo story. Several years ago, when I was 6 and my sister was 10, we went to WDW & we rode Dumbo. Well, my sister was afraid to let the thing go UP in the air as she thought it wouldnt come back down and we would be stuck up there forever. (my guess is that she thought all the other people on the ride were forever doomed???) Anyway - we have pictures of the ride - all of the little elephants are flying high, except one... :scared: (to this day, I still give my sister a hard time about it & next month we are going to WDW (the entire family) and I am going to make her ride it with me!!! ;)

(I wanted to scan the photo, but it was 32 years ago and it was not the best quality & apparantly, my parents were not photographers because it is a terrible view)

The feeling you get when you think you've lost something is AWFUL! It is sort of like diarrhea!!!! Sorry for the visual, but it is so true!

Glad you found it!! Tinker Bell probably carried it over there for you. ;)

Thank goodness you found your purse! I can just feel the tense feeling you must've had just by reading your report. Isn't that the worst? Your heart is beating a mile a minute and you are trying to hope for the best but so anticipating the worse. Thankfully you didn't lose that Disney Magic that day. Can't wait to hear more of your trip!

What a relief! Thinking you've lost something is the WORST feeling. I was so nervous for you.

I'm happy that you found your wallet and could continue on with your fun!

Hi Emma! I've been lurking and reading for the past few days--I didn't want to post until I was all caught up. But now I'm caught up, and I wanted to tell you how much I'm loving your report. I'm so glad you were able to find your wallet!!!

Thank goodness princess! I would totally freak out if I were in your shoes. I personally am a backpack carrier in the parks, but that is because I don't like to have my hands full.

DB started reaching into my backpack while we were in line for Stitch in May and I freaked out at him. He wasn't being careful at all and I had my wallet in there. I didn't want he to pull something out and have my waller fall out in that crowd. Especially if I didn't know it was missing until later. Needless to say, he didn't touch my backpack at all for the rest of the trip. He did, however, get in trouble with his dad's backpack. If I ever have time to continue my TR, you'll find out what happened...

Oh, Emma, I'm so glad you found your wallet. :thumbsup2 I was worried about it. And that feeling when you find something....:cloud9: feels great!!! Disney magic!!!!:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more.

Enough lurking - time to comment! I have experienced the magic of the WDW lost and found as well! In my case, it was my friend's multi-day park ticket, discovered missing back at the hotel our first night! (This would be in the pre-fastpass days.) What are the odds of recovering that, right? After mentally retracing steps, I concluded that it was lost after lunch when he pulled his wallet out of his pocket at the Sci-fi Dine-in at MGM. I called the restaurant, which was just closing for the night. It hadn't been turned in but the hostess promised to look for it when the lights came up and they were cleaning out the booths. She was realistic and told me not to get my hopes up! I told her exactly where we were sitting, gave her my name and told her where we were staying. We went out for the evening, pretty certain that a new ticket would be purchased the next day. We got back to the hotel around midnight - and saw the beautiful, red, flashing message light on the phone! Not only did she find his ticket, she delivered it to the hotel and it was waiting at the front desk! Can you believe it??

Anyway, thanks for the entertaining trip reports!

This past Jan I lost my cell phone at the MK. It was during an EMH night - of course the last night before we were supposed to leave.
The gentleman that found it called us (thankfully my DH's cell phone was the last number I had called.) and turned it in at Pop Century front desk. We were able to go over there the next morning and retrieve it.. I wanted to thank him so much but he had already checked out and was on his way home .. Make's you feel better knowing there truly are honest people around :cloud9:

BTW- Emma, your TR's rock!:thumbsup2

Oh, Emma, I'm so happy that you found your wallet in tact!

Next time, try a wallet with a strap (or a small bag that has wallet-type organization), and you will never have to take it off, even on rides!

I have an Overland Equipment Placer, and it holds all that stuff (wallet type organization for $$, id, cc, etc.) plus a small camera, sunglasses, anti-bac, etc. It is very small and comfortable, I wear it across my body, and I never have to take it off. I can get stuff out of it without taking it off, too. Now that I have it, I won't travel without it! Baggallini makes a wallet with a strap, too, and I'm sure that you can find a cute one that you like.

I just never thought that you would get it back with everything in it. That is so nice to hear (errrr, read)!

With food on the brain, we proceeded over to El Pirata et el Perico for some lunch. Because this day wasn’t over yet. A run-in with the dream team, torrential rain, pirates, MORE things lost, more things found, and how long exactly IS the walk from French Quarter to Riverside are all coming up!
