July 2007 TR

Glad you first week at college has been a good one; it's funny how things change as you get older. I can still remember when the first week of school was just "fun" no real work or anything (yeah - I am talking middle school days) High school seemed to narrow that down by a few days, then BAM - there's college with papers due in the first week! I actually had classmates in college who didnt even get their books until week 2! (kind of like the same mentality that was in Legally Blonde - did you see that movie?)

Anyway - have a great weekend!

always_learning[/B]...hmmm...rethink engineering...that's sounding good after a few classes of Calculus III and the matlab (don't even ask what that is, because I don't really know yet either!) book I had to buy for Intro to Engineering! lol. And I must not live in your state, b/c the humidity here isn't that bad!

Emma, I'm loving the report. I was a math major in college. Matlab isn't too bad. You will get used to it pretty quickly!

well, I came across this TR earlier today and started reading....then realized this is really #2!...well I am the kind of gal who likes to do things in order when possible so off I go to find TR#1...found it...read it all...excellent job:thumbsup2 and came back to #2...it's a great adventure and I hate to stop but my eyelids are trying to force themselves closed...and the toothpicks in the eye thing is just tooo creepy to try:rotfl: So I am adding my comments so that I can find you when once again I can sit down and continue on your second adventure with you. You have an excellent writing style and I am so glad I found your TRs because I have learned sooo much too!;)

Emma,
Hope college life is treating you well so far. Loving your report. Patiently awaiting the next installment. :coffee:

Hey there Emma,
I'm a newcomer to this TR, and I think it's absolutley WONDERFUL!
I haven't read your other TR yet, but after reading what you have so far here, I'm definatley going to be doing that.

You are an amazing writer! Very entertaining! I love all your pictures too, you are very creative. :goodvibes

Can't wait to find out what happens next!!

It's so cool that your brother is a CM, do you get a lot of backstage disney gossip from him???

Hi Betsey!

I totally agree 100% with you. It really bothers me when individuals post cruel and insensitive remarks on a trip report. If the person reading it doesn't like it, they should just move on...

Instead of the moderators threatening to close the thread, the judgemental remarks should be deleted at once. It isn't fair that the majority of the individuals who are enjoying it be deprived of the memories.

I must add Betsey, you have an amazingly eloquent daughter. Her writing is captivating and amusing. She definitely has an incredible talent. My daughter has been enjoying Emma's recounts of her trip along with her American Girl Doll at WDW pics.

We hope to be reading her latest report very soon!

hmmmm

Sounds like you had a great dinner and your brothers coworkers sound like they are a great group of people.

What fun, to visit Aramis and see him in CM action! Sounds like he really understands the importance of pixiedust! Of course, it appears to be in the genes... ;)

Good luck with school. But remember, "All work and no play...."

Kathy

Great update! It's great that you got to practice your French on someone who speaks it fluently. I learned a little Italian in HS and would have been so timid to try to carry on a conversation with someone.

So glad to hear that you have settled in to college life. My classes begin Thursday. Hoping that Western Civilization class is interesting! LOL

Yay, I love your posts. I would have done the same thing to any family member working anywhere! I am glad you had fun.

Let me think... could I figure out where Aramis works...hmmm... it is a buffet...it is a Table Service place... :confused3 wahhh to many restaurants fit that description! :rotfl: Good job on keeping it a secret!:thumbsup2

I love trying out my languages at Disney! I always get surprised looks from the CMs, though, so I'm never sure if it's just unusal for someone to do it, or if I'm totally screwing up the language!

Your report keeps getting better and better! Looking forward to the next installment!

Great trippie so far... and ??Where??? does Aramis work... (my guess, based on clues thru your post) is the Hollywood and Vine at MGM.

Yay, I love the pictures you took of Morocco. I feel like for some reason a lot of visitors to Epcot totally skip Morocco, or at least Disers don't often write about going there. If you're ever feeling adventurous, the food at Marrakesh Restaurant is delish!

BTW...from one of your earlier posts, it's SPIEL not SPHEEL. I like being corrected so that I look/sound smarter for next time ;)

:goodvibes Great update! I love the pictures of Morocco too! It's my favorite country in Epcot! Very interesting hearing about your brothers restaurant!

Thanks for the update!

Hi Emma & everyone-

I am a first time poster but long time lurker. Emma you are a hoot I love your TR (both of them) and am making you my first good reason to post. Thank you for taking me back to my happiest place. I (we) have been home 3 weeks now and it feels like an eternity. So keep it coming, and kudos to you!:thumbsup2
