July 2, 2005 - WE ARE THERE!!!

Thanks Darcy - I think 250 is for the canopy tour. I know one horseback riding through DCL is 220. I should look at what the reservation asks for - like # of people riding or not riding, etc. If they take cc. I will go and look at the reservation link.

I will speak with my family today and hopefully make the reservations.

Thanks Darcy and Amy - will post when Randis replies also.

Last minute discussion here between XLT and myself this morning.......so I went ahead and made a reservation with Randi on her website. DS says it looks "girlish". However, remember that he is 13. :guilty:

Yesterday was a GREAT day for Disney World. 76, breezy and NO HUMIDITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to EPCOT. They had the new Soarin' ride available for passholders. It was AWESOME! We got off and went right back on. Our whole family loved it. We also got a sneak preview show of the new stunt show at MGM. XLT and DS loved it. It was interesting......but I just thought it was good. We were in Magic Kingdom for just a few hours, and finally decided to try Stich's new "show/attraction". Two words for that.........Don't Bother.

I'm feeling a little "overwhelmed" in all this transportaion/DL/excursion stuff! Anyone else feeling this way? :confused3

Darcy......

I noticed that you had a countdown timer. I clicked on your link, and THOUGHT I made my timer........but it won't show up on my post. Do I need to do something else? (forgive my computer skills :badpc: )

Fran -

When did you reserve with Randis? Did you receive any email back?

I had emailed with questions and made reservations on Sunday. I know it's Sunday - but have not received any reply or any e-mail regarding my reservation. What is the standard response for those that have reserved. Thanks again.

I got a reply quickly, within a day.

We are booked for 6 and meet at 8:30 on July 6th.

I got to thinking about the weight limit too. I am hoping you find that out and share with me. My DH makes the cut off for canopy, but if horses are 220# we might be a little touch and go!!

I am having lots of trouble with the count down clock too, it won't change with each post. I notice the same thing with yours, still tinkering but it is frustrating.

AnnaS, If you don't get a response within a day or so I would resend your request. It took a couple of times to get a response when we originally booked. Last time I wrote to Randi, she said she was getting full so hopefully you'll hear from her soon. Amy :flower:

Anna...........I made the request sometime Sunday morning, and had the confirmation sometime Sunday afternoon before dinner. :)

Maybe you should try it again.

Mokehil, I think we are with you, as Randi told us to meet at the terminal at 8:30 :)

70 more days till we leave! I can hardly wait!!!! I'm ready to cruise! Who's with me?

OK........What is your favorite part of a Disney cruise? Mine is "The Horn" blowing, giving the signal to "shove off". Makes me teary every time. :cloud9:

Ok, I'll admit it. This is our first Disney Cruise. I'll make 1 more confession.....I've never been to WDW. Been to DL more times than I can count, annual passholder since WAY before the kids were born but never done Disney from Florida. :earboy2: Better start to save so I (I mean we)can finally make it to Castaway Cay. Amy :flower:

This is our first Disney cruise, and the first cruise with the kids. Husband and I went on a Carribean cruise in 1986 and loved it.
We've been to WDW quite a few times, but never at Christmas, so I want to do that.
Also trying to plan a DL Paris trip next summer.
We can't wait until 7/2 !! Just made our final payment last week.....whew! Glad thats done! I have enjoyed reading everyones comments and plans. We are not planning any excursions, with the exception of one of the hotel/pool/beach afternoons possibly. I think we will keep busy enough on the ship, and because one of my kids is disabled and has medical flare ups, it is hard to make plans ahead of time like that. We are just looking forward to relaxing and playing on the ship.

Since everyone is confessing....
Never been to WDW. Only been to DL 5 times, DLParis once and Toyko DL once.

We have NEVER been on a cruise!!!

But I can tell you that does not really matter because we are WAY EXCITED about this. It is so fun to have those very first times. My kids have them frequently: first loose tooth, first day without training wheels and next year first day of kindergarten. It is so much fun to have very firsts as an adult :BIG SMILE:

Darcy

Our Confession--
3rd cruise - 2nd with children - 1st with Disney (also first seven day cruise)

WDW - Twice - 1st was Honeymoon - 20 years ago - 2nd (2000 - for 15 ann)

DL & DCA - More than I can remember.....

Fran, we will also be with you on Randi's....

Jim

My Confession:
WDW- 20 times
DL- we have never been, but are spending 4 days following the cruise.
Cruises- 4 day on the wonder, and 7 day on the Magic. Both times with kids, actually this is the first time my husband and I will be on a cruise together. He is a truck driver and both times we had a cruise scheduled the trucking company he worked for took bankruptcy...therefore he lost his vacation....I was almost scared to book this time, but wanted him to experience it too...
As for excursions- I booked our excursions through Disney, I didn't want the hassle of getting my own transportation ect., so I just decided to spend the extra money and let Disney do the work..

Bear with me - having many problems with computer - Explorer pop ups all over the place. Won't let me get onto webpages - workoffline? Do I want to connect?, etc. I need to find someone to fix problem. It took me many tries to reply to this thread.

I emailed Randi again and she finally replied.

All is good - she told me, meet you in July - no time- I guess everyone meets at the same time, same place? Will email her again later on. She told me to let her know number of riders right away since they limit the number. All five of us are riding - She said it is $15 for non-riders Amy. So we will be riding with you guys (hopefully Wendy - AOIP57 will join us too).

This will be our third Disney cruise. July 2001 - Eastern,
July 2003 - Western.

I doubt my sons will be cruising with DCL again, outgrowing it. We might consider one in the future with dd or perhaps 4 nights with DD.

Many times to WDW (just came back too) and never to DL.

We are set for Mazatlan - almost sure about Cabo - need to decide PV next.

Great!! I'm glad you finally heard from Randi. I did hear that it was $15.00 for non-riders. I'm a little sad that I have to wait for everyone at Victors but that's the price you pay for being a mama. Sounds like we are taking up the whole tour that day. It should be fun!!! Amy :flower:

AnnaS --- I have had similar problems with my computer in the past. Use Adaware (free) or Spybot (free) to get rid of all the sneaky spyware on your computer. Also I had to uncheck my dial automatically. It took many times and maybe restarts to get it to stick. Sometimes that problem is caused by a virus and you should run updates on virus protection software and do a complete scan again. It is such an annoying problem!!!

BTW We are also going with Randi ~ 6. Any news on weight limit? 220 is going to be pretty close for DH.

Darcy

Glad everyone is getting Randi's like we wanted!

WOW! DL Paris and Tokyo! XLT has been to DL, but this is the first time for the kids and me.

Cruise wise, I think XLT mentioned that this is our 5th Disney cruise. We've always done the 7 days. We talked (GASP!) about taking another cruise line next year :guilty: but have Disney cruise #6 booked just in case. :goodvibes
DS is 13, and he may be ready for something different. (of course, we could always leave him with grandma! Just kidding!)

Can we book excursions with DCL 90 days or 60 days out?

I think we have decided Cabo - the men/boys - big boys :) will probably go snorkeling and the ladies/girls will do a beach excursion.

Darcy - I sent you a pm re: computer.

A while back when this thread was started - someone mentioned the ATVs - was it Dave? Do you have the link? or details again. Thanks.

Anna....look back on page 4 of our thread for the ATV info.

Darcy.....I was getting a little worried myself about the weight limit so I talked 3 other guys that I work with to put in $100 each and the one to lose the most weight wins the pot. We go until June 15th. $300 is the incentive I needed to lose the weight.

Dave

Is anyone thinking of doing the Sierra Madre tour in Mazatlan? I might book it with Mazatlan Frank but can't find his e-mail address. Does anyone know it.?Thanks!
