Now my sisters will also have on KSU so you'll just have to figure out which one is me!

Okay, so how will traffic for the launce affect the drive to PC? Anyone know?
I hear that highway can be awful on a launch day!

You're right Lisa, I will have on a Husker shirt. I believe Deb (from IA) will have on her Hawkeyes shirt also. Actually, this cruise is an undercover womens football conference! Once we get there, we will only have 63 days until my season starts! Lisa has a new coach, and I'm still doing research on what is new in Iowa. How fun will that be??

Hey Colleen - Only 2 more days until #12 comes out! I already have planned out when I'm going to buy it. Sara has an hour of band practice that night, so I will drop her off (after helping her carry her instrument in, why she has to play one of the biggest instruments I will never know), and run over to the book store! It will be so hard to leave it alone!! I will leave it in the bag, and put it right into my carry on bag as soon as I get home. I have a 2 hour layover in Atlanta. I had planned to read for all of that, but my brother and his family get there 15 minutes after we do. No reading for me, I'm sure.

Did you see on her website that they are having a big launch party at Foxwoods Casino? I'm sure it will be packed! There is going to be another book. She has already started a name #13 contest.

So the par-tay is on the deck above the sail away? I'm so excited to see that there will be a launch that day, wooohooo! It's so ironic because last year we went on a 4 night Wonder in July and there was supposed to be a launch the day we left but it was cancelled (if anyone remembers) at the last minute due to technical problems. I don't remember the traffic being affected though, we took the Disney transfer bus from the airport that day and it was no problem.

Laura - We midwestern people are easy to get along with! I've lived everywhere (moved 13x in 8 years), and have wonderful friends each place. If you want to learn about college football, we would be more than happy to teach you, if not, that's just fine too! We love the sport, but understand there are others who don't. In fact, none of my friends are football fans. I have more to talk about with their husbands during football season then I do with them!

The days are slipping by fast now! I have just a few things left to get on my list. Dog food is still there, pantyhose for Jess and I, and bigger memory cards for the girls cameras. That is it!

I better get my laundry out on the line. This weather is too perfect not to take advantage of it!

What intrument does Sara play? My son plays Baritone, he likes it, but it sure is big--He left for camp this morning, I finally moved it out of the middle of the kitchen (where he put it away last, and left it for me to stub my toe on repeatedly!!)!

I've decided, I'm packing tomorrow, I can't hold back anymore-and the house will be nice a quiet with DS at camp, DH at work and DD (Dog) sleeping

the launch just makes everything even more exciting!!

Sorry, no college football shirt here either--i guess I'll go look for the green chips at Lowes?? Is that right?? Need more info on this-any one know the deal?? Michelle

My family is getting on the ship with matching white t-shirts that have Disney characters on them. They say Magical Memories.
We are leaving in one week. I am so excited. One week at the parks and then the cruise.
I got my green mickeys from Home Depot. I got lots of them and will be decorating both of our stateroom doors.

Brianna & Kacey have their last final tomorrow morning Kacey will have tennis camp next week - thankfully Brianna can drive her back and forth so that will be a big help. She will miss the last day because we will be off to FLA

I read in our paper this morning about the launch - I was glad to see someone posted the time because our paper didn't say and we were also wondering about the traffic. Nancy - what time are you planning on leaving BCV, we'll be staying there also and driving ourselves to the port.

I can't say what I'll be wearing to board - haven't thought that far ahead yet so I guess I'll just keep my eyes open for all those football t-shirts

Can't believe I'm doing this but tomorrow I start a new job When I hadn't heard from the place I thought I wasn't getting the job and would take the summer off - then they called and wanted me to start right away because of my vaca schedule and the last day of the current person. So, needless to say, things will be a little nuts

Okay, I will be ever so nice to all you Husker fans!!!! Patti has shown me that they really ARE nice people! I will try and explaing to my sister Julie that you are nice too! SHE is the college-football freak! and the #1 KSU wildcats fan! She can talk for hours about it so you all may have some good talks!
Now, if some ku jayhawks were going to be on this cruise, that would be another story! My 5 yr old nephew would go up to them and say "ewwwww jayhawk loser"!!

I'm soooooooooo excited about the launch! What a great thing so experience! Especially for the kids.........okay, for us ole' folks too!

Some of us may recognize each other in the terminal w/the Big 12 shirts on!
I think I'll print off a copy of "the list" and take it w/ me!!

Michelle- I love Janet's books! Since we can't use our local library, we have one of the biggest book collections in the city! I need to get them down to the VA hospital.

I have to make myself hold back on the packing for now. I will become obsessed with it once I start!

Sara plays the baritone sax! Any case with 3 handles is too big! She doesn't go to camp until the last week of July. She has camp 4 hours a day M-Th, and 8 hours on Friday, with a pool party Friday night.

The paint chips are at Home Depot. We can still get them, so if anyone needs any, just let me know.

We live in a small town in Northern California. It is close to Modesto. (You know, where Scott Peterson was from.)
I just finished weighing all of my suitcases. I had to move junk around so they did not weigh over 50 pounds. The last two times we traveled I was at the curb moving junk from one suitcase to another. People were looking at me as I had different suitcases open and throwing my clothing from one to the other. I was so mad. My husband was taking the rental car back and here I was with two kids and the luggage man. Once I moved everything around the luggage man would not weigh the suitcases. He just said, they are fine. I was really mad then. How did he known they now only weighed less than 50 pounds. So not to have that happen again I made sure my son weighed every suitcase and I moved things around at home.
I still need to hem my husbands pants and then everything is finished. I am so excited.

Mickeyteachers- My sis lives in Pleasanton, and works in San Franciso! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there! Pleasanton has to be one of the cleanest cities I've ever been to and of course SF it so wonderful!


I remember back in 2002 when you could still have 70lbs and not 50! We were coming back from our Disney Cruise and the curbside guy said "this sure feels heavy" and went to check it.............69lbs!!! I was sweating it! Trying to do 50lbs now is VERY hard! Especially on the way home because everyone buys things!

I'm itching to pack too, but I don't want to iron, so I'm resisting. Tomorrow I will pack my box(es) to be shipped. Have to cut out the MM shaped chips. Picked up MM colors and will attach ribbons to the back to look like balloons and then some magnets. Still haven't done a single door sign and I want to make one for all 5 rooms. I was going to have a different one for each day, but alas, that's gone out the window.

Can't wait for #12.

I hope they launch the shuttle--that would be sooo cool for the kids.

I'm sorry, but this NE girl knows nothing about football except that it interferes with her reality shows. When I was in HS I watched football, but it wasn't for the sport.

I responded to a message about the shuttle launch and wondered what time we should get to the port. I'd rather sit by the gate with my luggage than in traffic.

I do not live that far from Pleasanton. They have a wonderful mall and in Dublin which is very close they have a great movie theater. i-max and also regular movies.
We are using Disney transp. to get to the ship. I was worried if we were late using the car because of the shuttle launching that the ship would leave without us. So if we are on the Disney transp. they would notifiy the ship. I cannot miss the ship.

OK, regarding shuttle launch and getting there on time: at this point, I am seriously thinking about leaving BCV around 10: it would get us to the Port around 11, non-traffic, and allows a bit of extra time with traffic. We will be out late the night before at MK, and they have EMH until like 3 a.m. (no WAY will I make it that long!), so I know we will be tired the next morning, and I would like to have a nice breakfast before we leave. (Hey Sheila, maybe we can meet for breakfast or something, so the girls can chat a bit!)

We have a rental car also, and I am glad, because it allows me, being the control freak that I am, to be in control over when we leave etc. I had this dream last night, no actually a nightmare, that we were walking to the Port with our luggage and kept asking "how do we get to the ship?", and every person who told us a way to go was wrong...... So we started running, and got there just as the Magic was leaving.......without us!! OMG, woke up in a cold sweat, no lie!

OK, so maybe we'll be leaving around 7 for the Port!

Son 16, daughter 19, he's a BB player so he will be looking for games, daughter loves to dance.
