It's still so warm here can't get in the mood for halloween/thxgiving etc..........

Trying to think of "cruise" related items I can give my sisters going on the cruise with me!? Maybe I'll just do Disney Dollars and they can apply to their shipboard account!!

Good morning! The weather was VERY warm here yesterday, but today is more like late fall. It's about 49 right now , and they are calling for a high of 60. I don't mind that too much. I didn't care for yesterday's heat.

My mom and I have some shopping to do for the trip, but I need to do some research on a couple of things first. I have one more computer show to get through, then I can concentrate on the cruise. I'm looking forward to that.

No kidding! It's been a little rough in the southeast part of the country this year. Hopefully next year will be nice and quiet.

My sisters and I were discussing how SAD we'll be in we TRY our 2nd Western cruise and end up in the eastern caribbean again like last Sept. between Ivan and Jeanne! Just praying that this is the END of the crazy hurricanes!!

Well my cats lost it Saturday! aw: I think sometimes losing by 2 points is more heartbreaking than losing by alot!
I had to drive to JC Saturday morning for my nephew's birthday party and never even gave it a thougth that I would be in traffic with all the CAT fans and a few Texas A&M fans even! I must say thos A&M fans are NOT very nice drivers when you have a powercat aw: on the front of your vehicle!

Sorry about the loss! We lost too. I'm concerned that there isn't going to be anything left of the ports before we go!! I'm still planning, and we will do something! Thank goodness for the insurance if something happens. That would be a lot of money to be out. I just want it all to go well, and be FUN!

Don't worry! The ship will take us somewhere! Half the fun is being ON the ship! Last year instead of Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and CC, we ended up at Nassau, San Juan and CC! So it was not bad but not where were WANTED to go! Weather was wonderful cuz they keep you so far away from the hurricanes!

I don't really care where we go. I just wish it was closer than 245 days away! That's ok, we just have to get through another winter, then the time will fly!!

Who do you guys play this weekend? We have Oklahoma, at home. Should be a good game. Our guys are fired up after the loss last week at Missouri. I'm very glad to see Brad Smith run out of eligibility!!

We had a heartbreaker against icky Colorado!!! My sister flew in all the way from San Franciso for this game and we blew it by a field goal!!!
I had to listen to it on the radio! Mom/Dad and a couple of sisters went!

Our high school team is doing well though! We have the bi-district game tonight at home! Wish us luck! They are doing much better than my cats! aw:

Had a birthday over the weekend and it made me feel better to think this would be my last b-day before the cruise!!!!

Happy Birthday (belated)!! We lost to Oklahoma. We have Kansas this week, and your Cats next week. Then we have icky Colorado the day after Thanksgiving. I just want us to go to a bowl game this year! One more win.

I have to start spending some time on the cruise now. Things have been so busy lately!! I am gone every night most weeks. This week was Halloween on Mon (would have been the gym), Tue night is Sara's class, Wed is the gym, tonight Sara has a band concert. She made Jazz Band playing a new instrument. She has played Alto Sax for 4 years, and her band instructor wanted her to play the Baritone this year. She is doing well, doesn't practice enough. I'm hoping there is nothing tomorrow night. I'm tired and need a break.

I promised our group I would start sending them info this weekend. I will point them to this thread, and the Disboard. Have a great weekend! We are having kind of an Indian summer here. Almost 80 yesterday and today, then back to the 50's over the weekend.

I NEVER EVER EVER want the chickenhawks to win! We are at Iowa State and the way we've been playing, I'm not real confident but hope they surprise me! aw:

Had my first "freaky-cruise-dream" last night! The closer we get, the more I'll have! I was dreaming that we were cruising and we had to get away from a hurricane so we were going to another port.......guess where we ended up..............Italy!!!!!!!!!! Don't ask me how my mind came up with that one!! I was all freaked out because my passport is expired and I did not know what I was going to do in Italy without a passport!! OH MY! It's only just begun!!

Our Augusta High School plays in the regional playoffs tonight! SO ANXIOUS!
We are playing a rich-private school out of Wichita.........our boys are pumped so we'll be okay............I hope! Alexa is excited about dancing at 1/2 time!

How did your high school do this weekend? We know how our teams did. I don't know what has happened to our team this year! Saturday is our last home game (against you-know-who aw: ), and then we have Colorado. That is a no win situation. I watched them dimantle Missouri over the weekend. Crap. On the positive side, Colorado will take the Big 12 North, and they get to play Texas. I'm looking forward to that game!!

LOL on the cruise dreams! I did do some work on the cruise over the weekend. I have been doing research on 2 way radios. I found a couple of Cobra's I liked (it takes a lot to keep 21 people connected), and just happened to look at Wal-Mart on Saturday. They were cheaper than the other places I had seen them, and it has everything we need. So, I called my mom, and she will pick them up. That's part of what us kids are all getting for Christmas. I need to buy another 2 sets (my kids and inlaws), and my sister has to buy a set for her inlaws. Hey, they can pick up the weather warnings, so I'll let you know if we need to go to Italy!!

I'm already thinking about Christmas! I need to get started on that. The girls are getting cruise related things. I told them they could each get a portable game system. They have GameBoy's, but I think the PSP or the Nintendo DS would be better. Of course, they each want something different. No trading games. I need to figure out what to get Sara for her Bday, it's in 2 days.

WE WON!!!!! It was sooooooo exciting! Packed! Not a seat to be had!
Was really fun and the kids are so proud, as they should be!! We now play again Friday night against the ONLY team that beat us this year! Wish us luck! AND we have to go THERE to play!

Now, my cats aw: on the other hand..........I'd rather not discuss......please be nice to them this coming weekend is all I can say!!!

I'm glad YOU are thinking about Christmas!! Cause I'm sure not!! I need to get on that!!

Congrats on your game!! Unfortunately, we need your Cats to make a Bowl Game. Anyone can beat us when we hand them the game like we have done the last 2 weeks. Sigh.

I have started making my lists for the cruise again. I figure if I do it now, that is one less thing I have to do before Christmas. I want to do as much as I can now and get it out of the way. I need to start talking to my TA about the trip again, and get our ducks in a row. We just got notice the port fees went up something like $6/person. I'm so excited to go since I haven't seen my brother & sister and their families in a couple of years! I have a niece I haven't met yet. It will be SO MUCH FUN!! 234 days, per your count down!

Well, your huskers helped ruin my weekend!! First my HS team lost Friday night in the playoffs, a HEARTBREAKING 14-13!!!!! Came down to the last 6 seconds! More than my heart could take!
Then my cats lose in the last minute! Can't believe it was not on TV!!!! Would have made for a MUCH more exciting game than the ku chickenhawks and TX!
Then Sunday my Chiefs blow it! Okay,so the only team to make me happy were my Denver Broncos!
Geeeeeeeeeez, what a weekend!

Sorry. We tried everything we could to give them the game, they just wouldn't take it! Sorry to hear about your high school game too. I watched the Chiefs get beat. That was ugly.

We are under our first winter storm watch, and could get 7" of snow! I need to spend some time working on the cruise stuff!!

He was very emotional as you can imagine! Had to happen sooner or later but no one expected it now! What a guy! Really turned our program around!

It's always sad when a coach leaves. The state was devastated when Osborne stepped down. It was shocked when Solich was fired. Do you think he had any pressure with back to back losing seasons to step down?

BRRRR! I need to start working on my crusie stuff and thinking warm thoughts. The windchill is 9 this morning, and I'm freezing! I did, however, see a man riding his motorcycle. The temp is 20. That is a hardy individual.

No, no pressure for Snyder to retire! If that were the case, most coaches would be gone! No one, and I mean no one wanted him to retire........except maybe his family! Think they had the most to do with it! Sweet win over Missouri for his last game!!!
