Congrats Patti on finding your garment bag! :thumbsup2 We obsessive Disney planners understand that all these details are really important to making our trips run smoothly. ::yes:: I think my DH is finally starting to understand that when we're on the vacation, everything seems to go so smoothly (well, most of the time that is....) but it doesn't happen accidentally! And we all know that we have been planning this cruise for, well for many of us, over a year now!! That's alot of planning!!

So yeah, way to go!!! :woohoo:

Here in MD, I am getting Melissa ready for another trip first: she goes to DC for a week on Saturday. So, we have been trying to get "professional" clothes ready for her. They will be visiting Capitol Hill, etc. so have to dress appropriately. So,ever try to find "business" clothes for a 15 year old girl that she might actually wear again???? :sad2: I "think" we did ok, but I guess I won't be there with her to find out if they were fine or not!! ;)

Anyway, this has kind of taken my mind off the cruise for a few days. After Saturday, then I will have this grand "trying on of the cruise clothes" to see if I am ok for outfits. I really hope so. I am still not sure about Pirate/Tropical night for me. Melissa has an outfit, DH has a shirt that is tropical like, me..........? :confused3

May have to go shopping again. Darn. :Pinkbounc

Ok--I am really starting to freak out here guys. My kids don't even get out of school until June 23rd. You guys are so far ahead of me on planning. I can't even think of it all. Docs will be arriving soon---yikes! Got my passport a few days ago in the mail. We are all set there. Gotta really sit down and go through clothes for the kids.

Dismeet---anyone finalize this--someone else asked me on a pm. I say after safety drill on starboard side on the level above the sailaway party.

Deb

I've always had our docs WELL before 3 weeks out! They always SAID 2 weeks out but we always have had them WAY before now! Just as well, I would look at them over and over and over again and get nothing done! ;)

I've already completed the online check in! Easy! :thumbsup2

Patti-Yes!! SHOP SHOP SHOP!!!! You KNOW you love to have to do that!!

mattmommy- Yes, I remember those days of making the ressies on board! My sister Julie and I would go take care of EVERTHING while everyone else went to eat! By the time Julie and I finished the ressie rush, we'd go eat by ourselves!! It will be nice not to have to worry about that anymore!

Alexa left Wed. morning for dance camp! :dancer: I miss her already!
They dance for about 16 hours a day so I only get to hear from her for a minute or so late at night when she has a break! :sad2:

Okay, ladies only: don't you find bra shopping as miserable as swim suit shopping??? :guilty: That's on my list of things to do tomorrow! :furious:

Deb- Your dis meet sounds excellent! Just remind me of that in a couple of weeks!! Sailaway party is on deck 9 pretty much so we'll meet on deck 10?? Mid-ship or no?? TONS of people will be up there so we need to make sure we can find each other!

Nancy - tell Melissa good luck in DC! What a fun trip. I still need a tropical shirt for Jess also. pirate:

Deb - Take a big breath, and RELAX! It will stop raining (eventually :rotfl: ), you will get away from your neighbor soon enough, your boxes will get unpacked, and you will find time to shop for the kids! Whew! Hang in there, only 21 days to go!

Lisa - tell Alexa good luck in dance camp! :cheer2: If you are missing a hormonal teenager, I can loan you one! I have a spare, and they are driving me crazy!!

I HATE to bra shop! :furious: I spent all last Sunday shopping for strapless for the 3 of us, got that done after 4 or 5 hours, and now need to shop for regular ones for me. Mine are beyond bad, and Hanes, in their infinite wisdom, stopped making them. :furious: Reebok does the same thing to me with shoes. Good thing I bought 2 pair last time they were on sale, I think they dropped my shoes (AGAIN!) :sad2:

I also need to get out to the Husker store and get some shirts. I have company coming in on Tuesday, so I HAVE to clean my house first. I have to figure out where to put all of the cruise stuff currently on my couch. :scratchin I am running out of time! :scared1: When am I going to get all of this done??

Patti

Patti - glad you found the garment bag; one thing to cross off the list :) I tried, in the past, to get the boy across the street to watch our dog but he's just not comfortable with dogs....mine is very mellow but he doesn't seem to like dogs in general so that didn't work. We end up putting her in a kennel but she loves it there - we pull up and she drags us in. :thumbsup2

Nancy - Brianna went to a week in DC a few years ago, it was the NYLC and she also had to do the "business attire".....it was khaki pants or skort and white shirt (I think)....it took us forever to find the stuff but it all worked out. She had a great time - I'm sure Melissa will too :)

I have no idea what we're wearing to board so I'll have to look for those of you who have shirts that I'll recognize - Patti, didn't you say something about wearing a Husker shirt?? Oh....and the dreaded life-boat drill  not my favorite thing to do - it's always so hot and humid and they pack you in like sardines

I also have no idea what we're wearing for pirate/tropical night. I know my 2 teenage DD's won't wear anything pirate-like.....DH has tropical shirts, I don't have anything. So.....it's probably out to shop for myself and DD's. It seem the only things they wear are clothes from American Eagle - they don't carry much in the tropical line :) :) :)

I've been trying to check-in on line for 2 days....I get part of the way thru and get kicked out :furious: ..... I have part of our docs completed but not everything. I had an easier time getting excursion ressies.

Sheila

Hi Sheila - I will have a Husker shirt on. :cool1: My mother will be so proud! I have bought all of these nice clothes for the cruise (she insisted on no Husker stuff!), and I will be boarding in my Husker shirt! :rotfl2: Lisa will have on her Kansas State gear. paw: We are going to be having a meeting of the Big 12 right there on the boat!! :lmao: Luckily, it's not football season yet! :happytv:

Patti

Patti- You are correct! Good thing it's not football season yet! :happytv: My sister Julie would probably not speak to you! I told her you were a VERY nice Husker fan though! :teeth:

Sheila- Alexa is not really going to be TOO tropical nor dressed like a pirate but she did find a really cute pirate necklace at Charlotte Russe! She is SO into American Eagle as your girls are so she's very picky about the clothes but this was really cute and just added a little fun to her outfit! Don't stress about it! A cute top and capris or something will be fine for them but if you do see those pirate necklaces, they are very cute! pirate:

Okay, off to bra shop........strapless AND regular! :furious: If you don't hear from me again, you know I went off the deep end!!!

Can a family of Iowa Hawkeyes join you Big 12'ers?

How long is Alexa going to be at dance camp? I think she and Jennifer were e-mailing for a while. Jennifer dances too; only ballet though.

happyatdisney, did Melissa ever get in touch with our daughter? She PM'ed me months ago, and wanted to get in touch with other 15 year old girls. I had Jennifer's e-mail wrong, but here IS the correct version:

jenfer_lin@yahoo.com

Just ordered a swim suit for me at Chadwick's . . .still have tons to do!!

Lisa - Remind Julie that Husker fans are the most gracious in the country! :lmao: I will be VERY nice to her! :thumbsup2 Maybe I can even get you guys to come up here for a game one year.

Good luck bra shopping! I dread it, but it needs to be done.

Is anyone else seeing Cars today? Since I get off early on Friday, we usually try to be at the first showing, less crowded. We are going at 12:25, I think. I'll let you know how it is. I can't wait to see it! :cool1:

Patti

If anybody needs a tropical shirt Hilto Hattie is having a buy one, get one 50% off sale. You can get matching for the whole family. Code is HHDADBOGO.

For a pretty great bra try IPEX by Victoria's secret. Pricey, but comfy. I'd rather be wearing a sports bra, but it's scary for everybody else.

Got a package from Fed Ex and I ran to the door like a kid thinking it was the papers. Drat. More chips for the camera.

We would love to have a family of Hawkeye's join us! Football is football! A little more important in some states than others, but I watch a lot of Iowa games. :happytv: Of course, if it's football, I don't really care who is playing! Are you going to wear a team shirt? Please?? :Pinkbounc

My dh calls himself a football widower during football season! :lmao: He thinks I have a problem and should seek help. I do. I go to football camp every year! I had to miss it this year since I had to do billing on that day, and was going to be gone for the next billing. :furious: I'm trying to talk them into letting us run plays on the field. They keep saying something about liability, blah, blah, blah! :confused3

Patti

Lisa - thanks for the tip on the necklace. If I can find it, I'll pick it up for the girls.

I have to say, I'm a baseball fan.....we watch football (NE Patriots) every weekend when they're in season but I don't know as much about football as I do baseball. I have a feeling I could get some education on football while on this cruise :) :)

Can't wait....we leave 3 weeks from today :thumbsup2 - not soon enough :woohoo:

Sheila

YEAH!!!! :bounce: I'm all checked in, everything finally went through!
I like checking in on-line, less stuff to have to carry :thumbsup2

Sheila

Shelia,

On-line check in question!!!!

OK, I got all the passports for everyone, and was checking in. Got to the VISA part.

We don't need VISA's for any of the countries on the Western Caribbean, do we?

Is it OK if I leave that section blank??

I don't want to mess it up!! HELP!!!

OK!!

Patti, we will be wearing Iowa Hawkeye shirts!!! And YES, I am a big time football fan!! Have been, ever since my Dad took me to our high school games, and explained the game to me.

So nice to find another woman who is a college football fan!!!

DH and DS may be in Hawkeye Tae Kwon Do shirts . . . as they are big time into TKD.

Deb

I skipped right over the Visa part - doesn't relate to us. And when I read the small print at the bottom of the page, it notes that you only need to bring the signed page of the cruise contract - all other info is in their computer - cuts down even more on what we have to carry :thumbsup2

Oldest DD and myself were in TKD - reached BB, which was my goal and now we don't do it any more. It was very time consuming; our school required you to be there 2x/week, 50 weeks/yr and if you missed, you had to make it up. But I will tell you, it was a wonderful experience :)

Cruise contract?

We booked through Disney Vacation Club, and I got a confirmation from them. I don't remember a Cruise Contract? :scared:

NEVER MIND!!! I found it, after I completed the online forms!!!!

This movie is AMAZING!!! It was hilarious!! :lmao: We laughed through the entire movie. If you are a racing fan at all, you will recognize some of the voices in it! This will be a must own for us! :rotfl2:

Patti

You've seen Cars already? We're taking DS5 tonight to see it. We can't wait.

DS takes TKD. He's orange belt and waiting for his technical to graduate to Jr. Gold. Graduations are every third Sat. of the month. He should graduate the 6/17. If he misses it, we'll be in FL in July and miss that one. His big family birthday party is the 3rd Sat. of August. ACK. I hope he gets the technical.

Is it 7/1 yet?

CARS is at the drive-in popcorn:: tonight but we won't make it. The movies play rain or shine but I can't see myself sitting watching a movie with the wipers going constantly.....we're hoping the rain ends some time soon here in MA. We have had many inches of rain over the past couple of weeks.

There seems to be so many different styles of TKD, or maybe it's just the way the individual schools choose to do things.

Deb - we're DVC too, that's also how I booked the cruise. We traded for the Alaskan cruise last year.
