I survived :sunny:, Just got back from shopping. We got shorts, shirts, pants, the works.......which I don't know why because as of last night DH said he was fine. :rotfl2: And of course both DD's decided they needed to look while we were at the mall......needless to say they didn't leave empty handed  Oh...and as we're ready to leave, DH asked me if I wanted to look at a pair of shoes - news to me, I didn't think he needed any :confused3 :) ...that's the one thing we didn't get......yet!!!

I did pick up one of those Tide pens, just in case.

I'm also trying to decide about the internet situation - I think we're going to have to carry our laptop because we'll be gone for 12 days overall and will need to check in on work at the end of our trip (post cruise) :p ...... the girls would like to stay in touch w/friends just to be sure they weren't missing anything....I'll have to give it some more thought.

Picked up all the cosmetic bag stuff at CVS so we should be good there :thumbsup2 I do have to remember to throw the ponchos in the suitcases, just in case.

I just saw that there is a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico - hope we don't run into anything the first of July :eeyore:

Nancy - You actually trust your dh to check his own clothes? :lmao: Not a chance here!! He would always say it's fine. NOT!!

Patti

LOL Patti, after 18 years I should know better, shouldn't I?? :rotfl:

Seriously, he is pretty good, for a guy that is. :teeth: Still, he does lack the female "understanding" of these kind of things. I think he has kind of learned over the years that it is just easier (on him probably) to go along from the beginning. As he said once: "I'm going to give in eventually, it just saves time to do it at the start." ::yes::

Soooo, I told him a little while ago: "Tonight, we check over all your clothes for the cruise." He just nodded. He knows............ :rotfl2:

Nancy - I think most of our DH's have that attitude by now :yay: I know my DH feels the same way as yours!!!

mattmommy - Isn't Florida water awful  I lived in Florida at one point and we only drank bottled water.

I have a question for any of you...what excursions are you planning on doing at the ports? You guys ever been on a western before? or a seven-night (we've only been on the wonder)? What do you think/suggest? I know after going to a Buffett concert last night that I'm definitely stopping by Margaritaville in either Key West or Grand Cayman :rotfl: :tigger: :mickeyjum

"Can a family of Iowa Hawkeyes join you Big 12'ers?"

Hey Deb in IA---we went to Northwest Missouri State University--I think the wildcats. Isn't that across the border from the Hawkeyes. I just remember a lot of kids from Iowa.

Yep---it will all get done Patti---some day, some week, heck maybe even some year. Had our open house today----no water coming down from the heavens today---no---no sireee----just water leaking from my toilet today. Yep--water, water, water. Man--a 90 cent toilet seal and oh what fun.

Anyway, I quit worrying. I give up. Uncle!!!!!

Deb

We are doing the Stringray City Snorkel, and the Atlantis Semi-sub in Grand Cayman (we had to do the semi-sub on our own, as the times didn't allow both - as it is, it's tight!), the Dolphins in Cozumel (actually in Cozumel, again on our own as Disney is still going to Cancun. Hopefully the park opens on schedule!), and stingrays again at Castaway Cay.

Deb - sorry to hear about the toilet :sad2: . You think you get rid of one problem and another pops up.......but just think 19 days from now :Pinkbounc :bounce: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :dance3:

Sheila

Hang in there Deb! Soon the house will sell, and you'll be sitting on the ship having a much needed drink!! :drinking1 Forget about unpacking! Just buy what you need now, and worry about it when you get back! :lmao:

Yesterday I had to clean my "cruise couch" off since we had company. Holy Cow! :faint: I had 2 suitcases and a rolling cooler that were mostly full of just stuff! No clothes yet. Of course, that included snorkeling equipment, and that kind of stuff.

I finished bra shopping! :cool1: How about you Lisa? :rotfl: I finally figured out if I used enough gas driving to all the stores in town that carries them, I would come up with enough! Sure enough, and I was smiling as I went through the last check out, and people thought I was nuts! :teeth: I'm sure the women would have understood. I need to do some more shopping for Jess, but she is easy to fit, and I need to keep looking for some of Sara's. If not, I will need to wash some stuff anyway! Now I need to remember some laundry soap!

I also got a few things off my "list"! :woohoo: However, I added as many as I crossed off. :sad2: I need to spend some time working the list this next weekend. I want to get mostly packed starting about midweek next week. I just realized how close it is!! :scared1: Rich and I were talking about that last night when we walked the dogs. He made a comment about how I thought it would never get here, and now I think I'm running out of time to get everything done. :rotfl2: Story of my life!

18 days!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :woohoo:

LOL on shopping for your dh! :rotfl2: Mine didn't even GO with me. No, I take that back. He went once, and he chose clothes that if I had brought them home, he would have just turned up his nose at them! :confused3 They are fantastic, but not what I would have guessed he liked.

I picked up a couple of makeup things also. I started getting my medicine stuff together yesterday. Most of it I have. I need to get Sara an antibiotic to take with us. When she spends any amount of time in the water, it's not a matter of if she will get sick, but when. :sad2: Luckily, we have had the same pediatrician for years. She's fine doing that for us. I had to FedEx her meds at camp one year!

I just pulled this off of one of the main threads this morning!

I cruised last summer on the 14 day back to Florida. My bosy were 20, 17, and 13. One thing I have not seen addressed is that the 2 older were served alcohol, both at the "free alcohol" nights, as well as drinks you sign for. The waiters don't look for ID, and I don;t think my boys look that old. Just thought I'd mention it.

I have a 13 year old that looks a LOT older, especially dressed up! Crap! Of course, Jess knows the world would crash on her head if I were to find out she did anything like this! :furious: Anyone else have this happen?

Patti

Nancy- tell Melissa to email Alexa so they can discuss their BF misery!! :guilty: Have you decided about the unlmited internet yet???

Patti- noooooooooo I'm not done bra shopping! Just the strapless....that I'm not thrilled with! May just have to go with what I have!

I've just warned my co-worker that I am OFFICIALLY WORTHLESS (more so than usual) as of today!!!! :sad2: ::yes:: :upsidedow

LOL!! I've been pretty worthless for a couple of weeks now. Good thing I pretty much work on my own. :lmao: I do have a bunch of stuff to do this week and next. I have 10 days and 3 hours left to work!! :teeth: Or, 76.75 hours as of right now! I'm holding my time from billing a couple of weeks ago over until the last Monday I work! That is only fair to everyone. I will only be here for 3 hours that day. I will be gone by 8:45! :woohoo:

BCV2002 You got tickets to Jimmy Buffett? Over here you practically have to be a millionaire to see him. Wow. We're not quite parrot heads, but fans. Even DS5 calls cheeseburgers "cheeseburgers in paradise".

I feel the same way about it never coming and then we're not ready. We haven't applied for our Disney Visa dollars--ACK.

We're doing the 9:15 stingrays at GC, 12:00 Dolphins on our own in Cozumel and we're bringing snorkel gear for CC and hopefully Chankanaab and 7 mile beach.

They're supposed to open the dolphins/Chankanaab on 6/30 (the day we leave for FL). Has anybody heard anything different?

One last thing I have to buy is one of those kids leashes. DS loves to snorkel, but I'm not ready to give him total freedom especially when we're floating on our bellies looking down.

Patti - thanks for the warning - with all the liability issues everyone is always afraid of, I can't believe Disney isn't more aware of "carding".

Brianna had a sweatshirt on the other day that had the name of a college on it and some woman asked her how she liked going to that college.....she'll only be a junior in high school.....

Thanks for reminding me.......I need to throw the laundry detergent in the bag.

Getting DH to go shopping wasn't easy but I wasn't going to buy things, bring them back and continue to make that circle!!

We are doing Captain Marvin's Stingrays from 11:15-1:15pm at Grand Cayman! Key West we'll do the trolly on our own so we can hop on and off as we please and still not sure on Cozumel! Can't seem to find out if Mr. Sanchos is up and running again!? :confused3
DH and DD are parasailing on CC at 10:30am and I plan on being on my float all day! :yay: I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it!!

For us, we are doing Stingrays at Grand Cayman, Cozumel is the Jeep Safari, CC is the Eco Tour. DH just wants to ride the waverunners! :rotfl2: Key West we will do on our own.

DH wants to know if anyone else is taking a blender? I don't honestly know how much we would use it. Of course, with the rest of my family around, they might use it a lot! :drinking1 He's worried now that they may bust us trying to take it on board. It will be in our checked luggage if we take one. Supplies will be picked up in Key West. :cool1:

Patti

I'm happy with diet Coke and a virgin Pina Colada. My DH is looking to ship some "adult beverages". I know they make a plastic bottle of vodka, but does anybody know if any rum is in plastic?

I guess if you have a big room a blender would be good. I can't see our group running down to our room, using it and running back upstairs. I can see somebody whipping it out and asking the bartender if we could plug it in. :lmao:

I wouldn't tend to use a blender but there's only 2 of us........it might be worth it for a large group???

How is tivo? I've thought about getting it but haven't yet - I will admit, I'm a Desperate Housewives fan and there are times when I've had to miss an episode.
