I am so excited. I am now packing the clothing. I have everything else packed. We purchased a blender today to take with us on the cruise. This way we can make our own margaritas. My mom thinks we are nuts. But once she starts drinking them she will love it. My husband and I are celebrating our 19th anniversary. Seems like yesterday we got married.
I made more door signs today. I now have a different one for each day. I also have lots of baby paint Mickeys. I am going to tie ribbon to each Mickey. When we board the ship I am going to sneak down to our Staterooms and decorate them that is the door and room. I also have a gift bag for my 7 year old that is from Mickey. He will be really surprised.
We also have matching Disney shirts to wear on the ship. I also have pirate outfits for our family. So I think we are really prepared this time. I guess by the fourth cruise I will really have this all figured out.

Holy Cow! I feel terribly unprepared now! LOL :scared1: I wanted to start packing this weekend. I have stuff all over my couch, it's time to put it somehwere. Guess I need to get the rest of the clothes out of my moms spare closet. Oh, I better buy that garment bag first. I haven't done any door signs yet. No time to do anything lately! I guess I better figure out when all of this is going to get done!

I think we've all (7 of us) decided to wear KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY :woohoo: shirts to board so that's how you'll spot us I guess!
Sorry Patti!!!! ;)

LOL!! No worries! I may be wearing a Husker shirt. Heck, I don't know what I'm wearing to work tomorrow let alone 24 days from now! :lmao: I doubt I could convince everyone to wear something similiar anyway. We have some very contrary people in group. :rotfl: I'll have to think about this. :scratchin

Clue me in to the whole door thing....are we supposed to be decorating our cabin doors?

I can tell you we won't all have the same thing on, my teenage daughters wouldn't find that very "cool" :cool1: Those of you who have teenagers, I'm sure, can understand :)

I finally found a good bathing suit coverup. Not great, but good. I couldn't find anything that goes to my ankes. :lmao:

I'm afraid too many things will be wrinkled if I packed now. I have to print out my packing list excel spreadsheet. I started it when ds was four months for his first trip to WDW. I found it really helps. I add things when we return and take things off.

The last thing is having ds5 tux altered. I bought a 7 off ebay and wanted to wait until closer to the cruise to have it altered. He's either been eating non-stop or living off a handful of cheerios and water. Go figure.

Tried on ds's store bought pirate costume--no pants--ACK. I'm taking ratty blue jeans (knees are practically worn through) for him and dh (and possibly my dad) and dying them black for pants. They will all make one way trips. YAY.

Well, I do have a teenager and she did inform me she was NOT wear KSU to board the ship! :rotfl2: She loves the CATS paw: but no, she's not going to look the rest of us! I told her "Fine. But you WILL wear some shade of purple" :rotfl: She found a cute lilac top so that will do!

One year we all wore Disney shirts to board but back to ksu this year!
It's fun when the 7 of us wear similar stuff for our "welcome aboard" picture AND it helps us keep track of each other! And no, we don't dress alike any other time! :rotfl:

Patti- PLEASE wear a husker shirt so I'll know it's you! :Pinkbounc

As we are a short 3 weeks away, when do you think we should expect our cruise documents?

It seems everybody's getting documents two weeks out. I can't wait to obsess over something new.

:cool1:

:lmao: I'm right there with something new to obsess over! In fact, I just emailed my TA either yesterday or the day before. She told me 7-10 days, but I agree, everyone on the board seems to get them about 2 weeks out. Great, right after the garment bag, that can go to the top of the list! :rotfl:
Oh, and on top of that, my dh was looking for his swim trunks last night to swim with the girls, and couldn't find them! One more thing to add back to the list!!

22 days! :dance3:

Everyone probably already knows this but a little packing tip - if you put clothes in those plastic dry cleaner bags it helps to keep down the wrinkles.

I was reading the other day that you can now check-in on line - see below:

New Online Check-in Makes Sailing on Disney Cruise Line a Breeze

CELEBRATION, Fla. -- Guests anxious to begin their Disney Cruise Line vacation can now complete their pre-arrival paperwork via the internet with a new service on disneycruise.com called My Online Check-in. The complimentary service streamlines the check-in process and helps expedite boarding at the terminal -- giving guests more time to enjoy the ship and their vacation. The service launched February 21, 2006.

There is more, this was just the first paragraph - if you have interest, go to www.allearsnet.com - it's under the Disney Cruise Line News & Press Releases.

I don't know if this replaces all the hard copy documents or not.

Sheila

It makes it much easier if you check in on-line. You print the final document and sign it and bring it to the ship. They have made it much easier to check in. I really like the on-line reservations. This is much nicer then boarding the ship and running around and trying to get reservations at Palos or spa treatements.
I am so excited. June 24th we leave for Disney World and then the Magic.

Not to worry, Patti. I have not yet packed a thing, either!!

We have to survive a family reunion in next weekend first!!

Oh, and here's a news flash!!! We were in Target yesterday, and in the boys' section, we found Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest t-shirts for $7.95!!! DS Mark got one, and plans to wear it on the Prem-EAR night for the movie!!

I am planning to do the on-line check in today!! Got our renewed passports last week, so we are good to GO!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the T-shirt information. I will get one for my 7 year old. He will be really happy to have the pirate t-shirt. We are leaving on Sunday to go camping. So I need to make sure I have plenty of things completed before Sunday. Otherwise I will not have enough time to get everything completed.

Great news on the t-shirts! I will see if they have them in any other departments!

Good luck with the family reunion. My folks are going to one also before the cruise, out in Story City. Our family reunion will be held on the boat! :cool1:

We did online check in weeks ago! We got our passport renewals back in either March or April, I think. It didn't happen yesterday, so I don't know for sure! :teeth:

I'm having an issue with my dog sitter. He just graduated from high school, but doesn't have a drivers license. :confused3 Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but I have 1 dog that is deathly afraid of fireworks. We have to take her out to the state park a couple of miles from the house to get her to potty. I can't find anyone to drive my van out there. Now I'm looking for a new sitter than can drive. One of the guys we do a lot of work for has 2 teenage daughters, and one of them may be willing to do it for us. It's the last minute details that are driving me crazy!!

This cruise needs to happen before anything else comes up!

Patti

It's the little details. I had to run to the dentist because I broke a tooth (I think on a mento) and half my face is still numb, then run to my son's kindergarten class to help out, then donate blood at the school. Then my blood goes too slow and starts clotting so they can only get 3/4 of the bag. ACK.

Just trying to get things scheduled so my last week before we leave is clear. Swim classes, karate, ENT appt., IEP appt. (speech class). I need to freeze the day. I also need a big ole bottle of white out for my calendar.

How many days?

Just got back from Target. They have t-shirts for Pirates and for Cars. They are $7.00. They have Pirate shirts that glow in the dark. Much better price then what you will pay at Disney World.

I found a garment bag! I know you are all thrilled. :lmao: It's pretty nice, and I *only* had to pay $119. Yikes, but it's DONE!! :woohoo: Now I can start organizing what I've got, and figuring out if we have enough suitcases.

I think I found a new dog sitter. Our friend also has a son that just started driving, and he would be a great choice! :cool1: One more detail I hope I can cross off the list! :cheer2:

Does everybody remember the horror of making ressies on the ship? DH and I had to divide and conquer running to Palo and Flounders before even heading to our room. We didn't make any excursion plans until the day before port arrival. Of course this is before DIS boards and DCL online ressies.
