Look at the info I found this morning!

Although there is still a risk of dangerous foam debris, NASA officials cleared the space shuttle's external fuel tank on Wednesday for launching of the Discovery in July, after a year on the ground.

As of now, it looks like the launch is a go!!

29 days!! Holy Cow!! :scared1: I have SO much to do! Looking at my calendar, it just keeps filling up. I have to spend some time hunting around in my basement for cruise stuff this weekend. I have a whole bag of waterproof disposable cameras. We found them on clearance for either right at, or just under $5. I also need to find Jess's snorkeling stuff. She took it to the pool one night, and now I don't know where she put it. Oh, I may have told her to put it in her suitcase. Better check there first.

Hopefully I can get some work done today! I have been spending a lot of time on the board lately!

I didn't know Loews Regency was on the trade list - I'll have to look that up. My goal was to use DVC points so that it's less out of pocket. We'd most likely take the train also.

There really is no competing with other insurance companies in Mass. Most people choose their agent on reputation, customer service, etc. It would be wonderful if they chose to give us some options but like I said, the only option is to reduce coverage - and that's NOT an option for me! DD took the car to school this morning - she drove herself and my other DD.....it was a little nerve-wracking but they called me when they got there and all was good. They go to a school in another town from where we live so we've always driven them - it will be a nice convenience to have her drive (once I get used to it, if ever )

Patti - are we still supposed to be working :confused3 ::rolleyes1

Dh, ds5 and I stayed at the Amsterdam Court Hotel a year ago. Small, but clean. I had lasik surgery the year prior and you have to return to the surgeon the next day so instead of driving back and forth from NJ we decided to stay in NYC. I was hoping for Embassy Suites, but this was fine. While dh recouped I took ds to the Hershey Store and of course the Toys R Us with the giant ferris wheel inside. I am soooo afraid of heights, but I had to suck it up and take him on it. Lots of inexpensive restaurants around too. DH felt up to going to Olive Garden for dinner. Yep surrounded by the finest dining NYC has to offer and we go to a chain. He wasn't quite up to restaurant row eating.

I was hoping to take ds to Lion King before it leaves the New Amsterdam, but it doesn't look like it's going to work out. When they move to a new theatre the scenery gets significant "shrinkage". Just like B&B. :sad2:

29 DAYS!!!! Yea!!!! Is everybody bringing snorkels? I was on the fence because of the condition of Cozumel.

Do you know when Lion King is moving theatres? I would love to see it in NYC.

We don't have our own snorkel gear - have done it while on the islands but this time I'm looking forward to going to the adult beach on CC while the girls go to the teen beach. We haven't been to the adult beach before - my nephew and his wife went and said it was great.

Ahhhhhhh the adult beach is heaven!!! :sunny:
When we were there last in Sept. 04, the hurricane had gone through a couple weeks earlier so everything was kind of "different" and they did end up letting entire familes go to the adult beach if they wanted! I did not see any over there but I did take Alexa just so she could see it! The water is not nearly as "icky" as it is at the family beach late in the day!

I LOVED that ferris wheel at the Toys R U in NYC! :cool2:

LIST: Just got an email from OTTAWACRUISER and I have to remove him from our list! :guilty: Seems he's on the July 2nd sailing on Wonder, not July 1st on Magic! :upsidedow

4 weeks from today, ladies and gents, I will be on my way to Orlando!! :dance3: Beats coming in to work at 4:15!! :coffee: I'm sitting here waiting while my boss runs billing. ::popcorn: It's going to be a really, really long day!

Have a great weekend! One more week can be crossed off!

Is anybody else coming in on Friday? My parents arrive Friday around 6:30 and we arrive around 9:30pm We're staying at the Hyatt and then using FL tours to get to PC. Other family coming in from TX around 8:30 and going to the LaQuinta.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! :dance3:

We're flying in Friday morning, renting a car and going to Cocoa Beach for that day and night. We are staying at the Oceanside Inn at Cocoa Beach. I guess it's right near the pier and sounds nice. We can go get some wine for the cruise and enjoy the beach for the day.
We did this the last time we cruised but stayed at the Holiday Inn. The pool was great but we had people in the adjoining room that were up all night partying and kept banging on the adjoining door and then someone banged on the room door thinking we were with that group. It was a terrible night so I didn't want to stay there again. I know it wasn't the hotel's fault, but I still have a bad feeling from it!
We plan on getting to the port about 10. I can't wait!

We'll fly to Orlando on Thursday. Get in around 6:30pm. Will meet up along the way with my sister from San Francisco! :thumbsup2 Staying at All Star Music!
We will spend Friday at Disney-MGM studios then my other family will come in Friday, late afternoon and meet as at the resort! :grouphug:
FL tours will pick us up Saturday and we'll be on our way to the port!!
:beach:

It seems the boards give FL tours the best business. I know everyone's reassured me, but I'm still worried about the luggage.

We're arriving Friday, staying overnight at BCV and taking DCL bus Sat a.m. We arrived at MCO on a Saturday morning once and found we were exhausted by dinner time! And I like the fact that I can wear my bathing suit (under my clothes of course :) ), cuts down on what I have to carry-on in a tote bag.

I am so excited. School was officially over today for the summer. I can now focus on getting ready for the big trip. We are leaving on June 24th. Flying to Florida on June 25th and staying at the SWAN hotel. We will visit the parks and swim. Then on July 1st the Disney Cruise. We have been on the cruise twice. But, both times were at Christmas. This will be different in the summer. I can hardly wait. We love the Disney Cruise. My kids are really excited. Even though they are 17 and 7. The both are excited about this trip. My mother who is 73 is really looking forward to the trip. We all have so much fun. I can now officially pack.

Are you worried they won't have room for your luggage?
They will, don't worry about it! Our transfer in 2002 we had 9 people and tons of luggage! This time it's 7 of us and I'm sure we'll still have plenty of luggage! :rolleyes2

When/where are we meeting? I would love for all the kids/teens to meet each other at the same time! party:

Ok guys---I am officially up and running again with DSL. Anyone who has been emailing me or my kids---hang tight. We need to catch up.

I still need to make a ressie for a return trip to the airport. Hit Kohl's and Costco for some new stuff. Need to start thinking about the kids.

We are still unpacking. Does it ever end?! LOL!!

Someone asked about arrival dates. We are going down on Wednesday to hit Universal for a few days prior. My parents are driving up from Tampa to meet us.

It is 4:30 am and I couldn't sleep. So, here I am, paying bills and dreaming Disney. It has been raining here for almost 2 days now and of course my house is on the market and of course they are ready to make a bid after one more visit tomorrow (today) and of course the roof sprung a leak. Not a big deal to us but could scare a first-time buyer away. MAJOR PIXIE DUST NEEDED HERE!!!

Deb G

How nice that school is out.....the girls have about 2 more weeks, one of those weeks being finals so they only have to go when they have a final. Are you leaving the SWAN on a DCL bus to the cruise? We're taking DCL bus from BCV on the morning of the cruise.

Having a house on the market can be so tiring - constantly making sure it's looking good for showings. And which is more challenging - constantly vacuuming up after the dog hairs or trying to keep two teenagers rooms in some kind of order :) You have my share of pixie dust :)

Deb - Here you go girl! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: The unpacking doesn't ever end. We have been in this house 11 years, and I still have stuff in the crawl space we never bothered to unpack! Hey, this is the longest we have ever been in one place in 18 years. 13 moves in 8 years, it's just easier to leave it packed!

You know, I just realized that I started a response 3 times in the last couple of days and never finished it! We are getting in Friday about 6:45. We meet up with my brother from CA in Atlanta, and all fly in together. My inlaws are going in about a week early, but will meet up with us at the Hyatt. The only one we won't see until Saturday is my sister Beckie. I am SO ready to go! We are taking the Disney bus in. For 21 of us, that seemed like the sanest way to go. :lmao:

It has officially gotten hot here! I'm ready for vacation. I finished billing yesterday after 11 long hours. That was the last month end billing until I leave! :woohoo: I am SO glad there is no way for my boss to get in touch with me!! :rolleyes1

I better get something done. The weekends seem to get away from me. I need to start picking up some of the little stuff on my buy list. I need a new hair dryer, etc. Mine is 12 years old. You know it would fail when I least wanted it to. It has issues already, so I don't want to take the chance.

27 days!!!

Patti

Patti- How funny! We are meeting my sister from CA in Atlanta also on Thursday! :thumbsup2
Where in CA does your brother live?

27 days -- Wow. Does everybody have their posters made?

Is there a way to find out how full the ship is? My aunt had went on-line in February and went to a site that showed the empty rooms. I'm assuming it's full since all of America's schools are out. Our other cruises were in September and January and they weren't 100%.

DH and I went out for our 18th anniversary with ds5 to a fancy schmancy restaurant and I had creme brulee. DCL flashbacks--or flashforwards in our cases. I've decided to have fruit for breakfast and lunch, salad for dinner and then just desserts. party:

Adding to the "when do you arrive" list: we fly into MCO on Wednesday, staying at BCV for 3 nights, and then will drive to the Port on Saturday morning. :drive: We decided to rent a car, giving us the freedom to go when we want. Excited about a couple quick days at Disney World: gonna check out Expedition Everest, and spend some time at our favorites at Epcot. :woohoo:

Congratulations Mattmommy on your anniversary! We will celebrate our 18th this year also, in October. :lovestruc

Went shopping with Melissa today. OMG, 3 hours later, we were exhausted, having survived the dreaded swimsuit shopping expedition  .......but she was happy, so it was all good. She is away for a week in DC next week with the Presidential Classroom, so needed some clothes for that too. Clothes list looks good for everyone now, starting on the "little things" list next.

Four weeks from tonite, we'll be sailin' away............... :sail:

Nancy-
We celebrate our 18th in Oct. also!!! :grouphug: Great Year! Great Month!
What day is yours? Our's is the 8th! :bride: :groom:

And Alexa and I also went shopping yesterday! I THINK she is done! It was all about her I must say! I'll have to finish mine on my own! :rotfl:
She needed some things for dance camp also and they leave early Wed. morning! She works everyday until then so I HOPE she has everything she needs! :confused3
