JULY 19 Cruisers- Less than 3 WEEKS now Yipee!

We'll probably go over there around lunch and/or maybe dinnertime......

Rainforest Cafe is there. We've eaten there many times & the girls love it, but DH & I were hoping to try one of the other restaurants there at DTD. Anyone tried Fulton's Crab House???

I LOOOOVVVEEE Deviled Crab!

Two years ago we did the Eastern C on Magic. It was myself, wife and sister in law that drank wine (her husband was our designated driver). This year we are bringing the Mother and Father in law, both of which drink wine. One package was enough for the three of us last cruise, one will not be enough with the two new cruisers. Do they sell half packages or a larger package that the one that is $145. Otherwise we will have to buy two packages for $290, a bit much for just wine. Any suggestions.

Thanks Disers

I can't answer your question about the wine packages, but you might want to start a new thread on that subject so more people will see the question. If subscribers to this thread don't know what kind of wine packages are offered by DCL, there's a good chance that other Disrs out there will be able to help you out with that information.

debkay....if she wants, have your daughter PM me and give me her email address. that way, I can meet her over the Internet, which would be pretty cool come cruise time. we are going to book it tomorrow, I decided that I would rather not A) rush around on departure day trying to secure a spot and B) end up missing out.

I cant wait for the cruise, but it will be hard leaving with the fires devastating my town. from my house, I can smell the smoke and there are some pieces of ash in my backyard. as of today, it is up to 70,00 acres and about 60% contained. I sure hope and pray it is resolved by the time we all leave.

Anyone booked for this?

We are booked for the 12 noon one & were hoping to trade someone for the 10:20 one.....

The sun is intense anyway, but with 2 very fair skinned small children, we thought it might be a little better to go earlier in the day......

Anyone like to trade?

lancerguys... I pray that your family and friends will be safe from the wildfires and that they will be contained soon. My DH is a firefighter so I know how devastating it can be.

You're in our thoughts!

(I have a brother & his family getting ready to move out there in the valley of Tucson - 85737 -.... next week!!!! - in fact, while we're cruisin')

Hope they can get some control of it soon.

wow, thanks for all the thoughts. I am sure the firefighters will feel the pixie dust.

on a happier note, on spur of the moment, my family has decided to look into doing more excursions on grand cayman. they are thinking about doing a stingray tour and a turtle farm (????) one. do you have any suggestions?

Cheapest..... Nice Recs on them.

We'll be going!!! - Can't remember what time it leaves - I think around 10am or something......

lancerguys,

We're doing an excursion with Captain Marvin's Watersports. They provided us with excellent service last summer so we're going back for more! You can check out their excursions at:

www.captainmarvins.com

We're doing the Stingray City w/ Capt Bryans. They have a catamaran which we want to try out.

We're doing the 1/2 day with Captain Marvin's in Grand Cayman. I'm hoping that they will have a videographer on this one. I understand that they do on some of the excursions, but it is not guaranteed.

My DD-14 just decided that she wanted to go on the Teen Fury Cruise in Cozumel, so I called and reserved a space for her today. I know that alot of the teens on this board are booked. They should have a great time! I wish that I had been able to do something like that when I was their age!

Lancerguys-
Our prayers are with you and your family and friends.

Only 4 more days of work! Yippee! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

beaniema...I know what you mean..I was just saying the same thing to someone today about wishing I could have gone on a cruise as a teen. The closest we came was going to Disneyland maybe once or twice in my childhood...not many vacations that were too fancy back then!

Lancer, the turtle farm was fun and interesting. Actually get to hold the turtles. last time I was there they had a salt water gator also....Glad all is well with you and your family, scary when you do not have any control over the situations.

thanks for all the help...I will definitly tell me dad about all the info. I wish I would have known earlier so I could have more time researching. but oh well.

golfpin ,
is the turtle farm an extra excursion or is it something you have to get to on your own? I looked in the excrusion booklet and I didnt see, so I am assuming it is on your own. would you recommend it? is it something worth doing?

lancerguys,
We are also doing the Stingray City excursion (we chose capt Bryan because we want to ride on a catamaran.....), and I've heardand read nothing but great stuff about this excursion. Both Capt Marvin and Capt. Bryan seem to have very good reputations.

PS: our prayers are with you/your family and neighbors.

I've got to make sure my dd has a camera with her on the Teen Cruise - she is getting excited to go and I'd love to see pics of how it was. I know she'll have plenty to tell me when they get back on ship!!!!!

Well our plans have changed a small bit. We have decided it will be in our best interest to leave on the afternoon of the 16th and drive a few hours so that we don't have as far to drive the next day and the following day. That way we can get to Orlando on the 18th at a reasonable time, do some things at DTD and elsewhere that we want to do before heading to port and not wearing ourselves out. So it's official - 4 more days of work and we leave in 6 days!!!!!!

Lancer the turtles are part of the island tour of Grand Caymen.
Last work day for me:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :smooth:
