July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

I'm not sure I've ever heard the song. Who's it by?

TOBYMAC is the main singer

"Lose My Soul"
(featuring. Kirk Franklin, Mandisa)

Man I wanna tell you all something, Man.
Man I'm not gonna let these material thing's, get in my way, you all.
I'm trying to get somewhere.
I'm trying to get somewhere,
Thats real and pure and true and eternal.

Father God, I am clay in your hands,
Help me to stay that way through all life's demands,
'Cause they chip and they nag and they pull at me,
And every little thing I make up my mind to be,
Like I'm gonna be a daddy whose in the mix,
And I'm gonna be a husband who stays legit,
And I pray that I'm an artist who rises above,
The road that is wide and filled with self love,
Everything that I see draws me,
Though it's only in You that I can truly see that its a feast for the eyes- a low blow to purpose.
And I'm a little kid at a three ring circus.

I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
Don't wanna walk away, let me hear the people say.
I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
Don't wanna walk away, let me hear the people say.

(Mr. Franklin, Step up to the mic sir)

The paparazzi flashes, and that they think that it's you,
But they don't know that who you are is not what you do,
True, we get it twisted when we peak at the charts,
Yo before we part from the start,
Where's your heart?
You a pimp, hustler?
Tell me what's your title,
America has no more stars, now we call them idols,
You sit idle, While we teach prosperity,
The first thing to prosper should be inside of me.
We're free...
Not because of 22's on the range,
But Christ came in range, we said yes now we changed,
Not the same, even though I made a fall,
Since I got that call, no more Saul, now I'm Paul.
(YEP!)

I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
Don't wanna walk away, let me hear the people say.
I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
Don't wanna walk away, let me hear the people say.
Don't wanna walk away,
Don't wanna walk away

How do I sense the tide that's rising?
De-sensitizing me from living in light of eternity,
How do I sense the tide that's rising?
It's hypnotizing me from living in light of eternity,
How do I sense the tide that's rising?
De-sensitizing me from living in light of eternity.

(Lord what we gonna do,We're relying on you,
all eyes are on you Lord,
all eyes are on you, all eyes are on you Jesus.)

I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
Don't wanna walk away, let me hear the people say.
(Don't let me lose my soul, my soul.)
I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
(This is my honesty, Father, won't you cover me.)
I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
(Don't wanna walk away, and all those people say)
I don't want to gain the whole world, and lose my soul,
(Don't wanna lose, I don't wanna lose my soul.)

Lord forgive us when we get consumed by the things of this world,
That fight for our love, and our passion,
As our eyes are open wide and on you.
Grant us the privilege of your world view,
And may your kingdom be, what wakes us up, and lays us down.

(Hallelujah, Don't wanna lose our soul,
No, Don't wanna lose my soul.)

Hey excuse me,
I'm looking for the after party,
Toby,
Ha ha, yeah, last door on the left, you'll hear it.
Thanks,
No problem.

Don't let me lose my soul, I never wanna walk away,
I don't wanna lose my soul,
No, no, no.
Don't let me, don't let me, lose my soul,
I don't wanna walk away,
Don't let me walk away,
Na na na na no,
Don't let me lose, my soul,
I'm never gonna walk away.

We should really try to get a race going... I'd hate for someone to just snag a win by posting fifteen times in a row. That's just too easy. :)

Just double-checking the time of our SSR meet - was it 4:30? The time isn't on the first page and my memory is off sometimes. :upsidedow

Yes, 4:30 at SSR TOMORROW!!!!

Marcy just wanted me to clarify what time people wanted to meet at Earl's... She thought everyone agreed on 5:30, but I'm thinking everyone said 7:00ish. In all honesty, it doesn't matter to me. She put Earl's in my head, so I'm going whether or not anybody else plans on going. And if some want to meet for breakfast, others lunch, and others dinner, I'm good with that, too. I'll just join everyone for all three. I'm flexible like that. :yay:

I would say 6:30ish? The SSR meet is 4:30 and those of us who don't have dinner plans will cross the lagoon for a sandwich at Earl's.

So how were those storms at your house! The lightning was AWESOME at MK. Although they did end up cancelling the parade :sad1: due to the lightning. Most of the rides were closed for about an hour or so, but we got very little rain - nice because I didn't bring an umbrella! :scared1:

But we did get to see the Wishes firework!!!! So cooooooool!!!!!:thumbsup2

um... we did long john silvers... not the best in the west, but okay in a pinch.....

okay... this song "I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul".... has been stuck in my head for 3 hours now.... three.... count them.... do you know how many gains and soul's that is??????

I wouldn't have guessed you were a hip-hop type of music lover!

I drove home in that, and it was crazy!!! I almost pulled over so I could take pictures, but I couldn't see enough to pull over.

Oh, and Joann (#2), my Abbie wants very badly to meet more kids her age from the board -- she jealous that Cassie has been emailing other kids -- and I told her your 2 older girls were right around her age (she's 6). So you might want to warn your kids about the little blonde girl on a mission tomorrow . . . . :)

6:30 sounds good! Marcy's is going to try her best to get out of work, but if she doesn't make it I still plan on being there. I need to do a little pre-cruise shopping there, anyway, and I'm always up for snorting bath beads in Basin. Plus, I have a new filter for the camera that I need to put through its paces before I'm ready to take it on vacation, so it's a really good excuse.

And just as an FYI if you didn't already know, you can almost always snag a free chocolate sample at Ghirardelli's. :) Free chocolate is the best kind of chocolate...

As for the storms, they weren't all that bad here. Lots of booms and some lightning, but most of it stayed by your guys at Disney. There were actually three possible funnel clouds out that way from what I understand, but somehow our area just sort of got sandwiched between two major cells, but we weren't really affected by either. Sorry about the parade, though! Mother Nature's lights look just as cool, if not cooler, anyway! :thumbsup2

Those flash storms are great because they typically clear out the parks... Once, the girls were out of school because of a hurricane, so I said what the heck and took them to Disney. Turns out it was probably the best day I've ever had there. There was hardly anybody around, and we had free reign of all the rides with no wait times! :)

HEY! You were going to bed!!! If I knew you were still up, I'd be in there right now. :sad1:

I really do not like Hip Hop, but for some reason, I do just LOVE this song... it stays with you... its a roll down the windows and crank up the volume and pretend you are a 16 year old again (while the DD16 is just dying in the passenger seat next to you LOL!)

I am a true Christian Music fan, but when I can't listen to my favorite station (KSBJ), you will find me knowing every top 20 country lyric there is.

okay, I have to teach a class tomorrow (last summer schoool class) and then go catch a plane... cuz...

I'm going on a cruise

so... night all..... (i don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul.....)

You should probably clarify that schools were closed for a hurricane warning. :) We don't actually take the girls to Disney during a hurricane. Although we did get to see them batten down the hatches once right before Frances.

They'll be thrilled! I need to make sure they get a nap before we head over though - the late night tonight really led to a major meltdown!:scared1:

Yet, though I have every intention of pulling them out of school for a repo cruise. I'm just going to tell you that school's closed for those two weeks and hope you don't look at the school calendar.
