And by the way, why isn't soccer a winter sport? It's, like, a hundred in the shade down here, and still they insist on having games in the summer!

Probably the same way Football is still a fall sport in the south... HS practices start 1st week in August...

The soccer leagues move indoors down here. It helps some, but the Outdoor season starts first week in August...

Note to Jaegar's mom...had Tommy, my 9 year old send Jaegar an email. We leave tomorrow so I will have him check his email again tonight.

We are spending 4 days after the cruise...


I could not believe today iin class... I had 28 kids that were AWESOME...
no back talk, no smart lip, nothing today... they just worked their little tails off for almost 7 straight hours.....

What do you think my chances of that repeating itself for the next 3 days are?


... AND....

I am SO proud of my DD. She took her first AP test last Spring as a Sophomore in high school... she took the AP Computer Science test, which is probably one of the hardest (along with Calc and Physics) that the AP realm offers. The scores range from 1 to 5. This years free response was very brutal! Infact, a lot of CS teachers argued back and forth before we came up with answers to the free response questions....


Drumroll please........


She got a "4". Mom would have really have liked a "5" (for pride sake), but I'll gladly take her 4.

Macavity: Congrats to your DD! That is awesome and as a sophomore too! My DD hasn't taken any AP classes yet but next year as a Jr she is signed up for 5. I think it will be a brutal year for her...there will be no time for boyfriends! (at least that's what I am hoping for! I am sure she disagrees)

With the exception of band and health - ds is taking all Pre-AP courses. It's going to be an interesting fall semester with marching band...
