sounds like a GRAND partyparty: party: party:

Sorry i haven't chatted in a day (A DAY, is that it?!:lmao: :lmao:)
Having some rough days at the senior high school - cafeteria duty and they are tearing me apart....i have two more days of it. I just can't believe the way kids treat adults!:sad2: :sad2: When I went to high school, in the old days (as my kids tell me:rotfl2: ) - we were afraid of adults! :scared1: We FEARED anyone in charge:scared1: ....NOT these kids. I have three lunch periods and till I get out of there, I'm shaking (in anger) - i do have a teacher with me, each period, but they don't respect them either. We live in the 'country' - not a city school, we are NOT supposed to have kids like this!:sad1: :sad1:

Then tonight I was supposed to go out with a girlfriend I haven't seen in over a year....then she backed out of our dinner. Not one of my best days, but I did see our 'tickers' are under 4 months!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

See, DCL saves the day again!!!:cloud9:

Ok, I've gone through about the last 15 pages to figure out who's interested in meeting Thursday at WDW. If you're interested but don't see your name here, please let me know. If you do see you name here, please let me know if you're still interested and how many in your party.

Joann2 and me (Aaron)

Two of us are planning dinner reservations that night at either 6 or 7ish. Many of us are staying at SSR. So I suggest a meeting at, say, 4:30 to say hi, put a few faces to names, perhaps have a pre-dinner drink. The Turf Club Bar & Grill at SSR is an option or someplace across the lake at DTD (there's a boat taxi that looks like it goes between SSR and DTD-Marketplace; anyone know if it stops at West Side, as well?). Then when those with ressies head off for their fancy dinners, anyone else who's interested can move on to the Earl of Sandwich to continue the meet over roastbeef or ham and cheese (look here for the menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_eofs.htm).

Don't count on us for this one, I'm still waiting for info from my second DD about her grad school schedule.....once I hear that, I'll be able to book the GG with Lissa on Friday..........one day at a time.........popcorn::

My sister's party was a success. She was definetely surprised, especially when saw my husband and kids,a nd her 2 girlfriends there - one from New York and the other from Maryland.

My bil did all the planning. He even hired a piano player. She played all 70's songs and the theme songs from 70's tv shows. It turns out that she had played in a piano bar on Carnival cruise ships for years. She really got the crowd singing. It was a lot of fun. She ended the evening with everyone making Mickey Mouse ears and singing the Micky Mouse Club song.

My sister lives on a 17 acre farm so the day after the party she had a lot of people come out to the farm. But it rained all day so we went up into the mountains near the farm to a bed and breakfast where some of the guests were staying. We had drinks at the bar which was really nice.

We really had a great time.

Sounds great, it sounds like you really have a nice famiily!

The Thursday night meet sounds fun but I don't think we will be able to make it. We are spending that day at Disney Quest and our town car is picking us up at 6:30 for Cape Canaveral. We will be at SSR so if we get a chance maybe we can walk through the turf club....

Does anyone know what the dining schedule is for the cruise? when is Formal night, pirate party, etc?

Snowing? I'm jealous! We have to put up with wearing shorts and T-shirts today (:-))

How many more days to the cruise? Maybe by then you may get some warm weather.

I hope today is better for you! When I was teaching elementary school lunchroom duty was not my favorite assignment. I can't imagine doing it now in high school.

Thank-you, Joann.

It's SNOWING here! What happened to the first day of spring.

It's snowing here, too and is covering the grass.

Does anyone know what the dining schedule is for the cruise? when is Formal night, pirate party, etc?

I don't know if it the schedule will match the current Eastern Caribbean schedule - just replacing St Croix with Tortola - but if it does here's the schedule from a navigator I saw:

Saturday: Embarkation, Sailaway Party, Casual
Sunday: Day at Sea, Golden Mickeys, Formal
Monday: Day at Sea, Twice Charmed, Casual
Tuesday: Tortola, Pirate Party, Pirate/Casual
Wednesday: St Thomas, Comedy Show, Casual
Thursday: Day at Sea, Disney Dreams, Semi-formal
Friday: Castaway Cay, Remember the Magic, Casual
Saturday: Disembarkation

I know how hard it is. Several years ago one of our cats (he was about 5 years old) suddenly dropped dead in my kitchen the day before my birthday. They are really a member of the family.
