Hi everyone! :wave2: I just got back from Stuttgart late last night! It was a very nice trip - albeit without kids and DH. I missed them!

I loved the crisp, cool weather! :sunny: Wow! What a difference to get off that plane last night to 95! And that was at 10pm. :scared1: They lost one of my bags (and of course it was the one with the food in it! grrrr! ) But it arrived tonight. At least I got out of that middle seat assignment and got an aisle at the gate. I really wouldn't have handled 6 hours in the middle...Not pretty.

Happy belated Bday Lucy!:flower3:

I hope all the East Coasters are enjoying the snow.

No vacation planning packet yet - I'm sure it would come in a couple weeks - it generally takes things longer to get here.

I hope all is well!

We're due for 8-14"! :scared1:

The only positive would be if schools are closed for a snow day. We haven't had done yet this year.

I hope our packet comes soon. popcorn::

everyone thrilled?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

JoAnn#2 - sounds like a great trip, but quit giving us the temps, ok?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: JOKING:hug: :grouphug:
Wait till I write you tomorrow....you'll be SO jealous:sad2: :sad2:
I would LOVE to go back to Germany (was there when I was 16 - no comment JoAnn #1!!!!!)

As I see it now, Starwood, Mrs. G., JoAnn #1, Wendy, maybe Lissa and Lucy will see snow tomorrow (anyone else?:confused3 ), some of us, more than others. My DH and I are presently watching the evening news and the Philadelphia news is already telling people to stay home tomorrow, and the snow hasn't started.
We make it a habit in this house NOT to tell Tyler about any snow that may be coming until we see him do his homework. It is 6:45, Sunday night, and needless to say, we still haven't mentioned snow in front of him.:rolleyes1

Wouldn't it be GREAT if it snows tomorrow and we finally get our packet, during a snowstorm.:dance3: :dance3: As I've said before, I won't believe the snow until I see it, we've been disappointed too many times.
I really want a blizzard for ONE day, then the next day it all melts and spring arrives (I believe I'm asking too much:rotfl: ) I am supposed to "sub" tomorrow, a little disappointed if we don't have school. I'm supposed help a life skill student at the vocational technical school, in the culinary area, culinary, truly it is right up my alley! Maybe another day.

I want to see palm trees too!:furious: :beach:

weird weather...........we have cool temps and are going to get to high 50s by Friday!:confused3

I am ready for spring personally........

No School Tomorrow!!!..........SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No school here as well - got the call around 10:00 last night. At least they didn't call at 5:30 am like they usually do. So far it looks like we have 3-4 inches but there is more coming.

To all of you snowed in - take care and enjoy your snow day!

thanks, Monica:hug: , we JUST closed, at 8:15 in the morning:cheer2: (we WERE on a two-hour delay). Actually, it just started snowing in the last hour:cold: , we are NOT getting the accumulation weather stations predicted. :sad2: JoAnn #1 got hit this time, plus our friends north of us. :grouphug: So funny, our local stations make such a big deal out of this snow - the news stations stay on the air forever in the morning. My son IS actually disappointed - he had his first day of tryouts for volleyball (I can NEVER win with him - he doesn't want school, then he does!)

OK, I'm home, NOW I want my packet!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Snow Day here too.........except the community college I teach for is only 1 of 2 colleges in the area that are going to open for evening classes. :headache: Great just in time for ice. :scared1: And I know that the majority of the students won't show up. So I don't know how much material I will cover since so many will miss the class. I usually cover about 10 pages in the math book. You miss a day, you miss a lot. I know..........keep repeating......I'm lucky to have a job....I'm lucky to have job......pays for all things Disney.....pays for drinks on DCL....pays for photos on DCL......:goodvibes

Time to make gingerbread cookies with my DD for her soccer team. They are playing in a tournament called the "Ice Bowl" this weekend. We usually bring cookies. They love gingerbread cookies. Funny I didn't even know my DD like gingerbread cookies until a Dec. WDW trip when I picked up a cookie from the GF. When I went to break off another piece of the cookie it was gone. She had eaten the rest of this big cookie. This was a surprise since she usually doesn't like anything. We've been making them year round ever since.

Be safe everyone. Enjoy the last snow of the season probably.
Shirley

Sorry Shirley, is there anyway you can give them their assignment online via email? Just a thought......

did you EVER buy one of those gingerbread cookies in Germany or at Downtown Disney with the chocolate ears - AWESOME! my favorite.

Our university in town NEVER closes, that is in all the years I worked there - this year I did see they had an 'ice' day, I don't know about today though.

I'm chatting thru e-mail with one of the secretaries at the high school that I work with - her family is going to WDW in June (well, she is sweating it, she scheduled the trip a few days after school was over....our snow days are now adding up, oh, well, if she goes to Disney, I have a sub job!!!) - she is asking me about a good Princess Dinner. I suggested either a tea at GF (am I right, do they have princesses? (she has two daughters). I also told her about a breakfast at Norway. I have NEVER heard good things about (food-wise) the castle in the MK (I constantly read the restaurant board - you will learn - Lucy LOVES her good food). Any suggestions I can give her?

I'm going to send my 16 yr. old out for the mail at noon (ah, he doesn't know it yet)...I've GOT to get that packet TODAY, during our snowstorm!

We are snowed in. Yesterday we was horrible it finally stopped snowing just a few minutes ago. We are not going anywhere for the next few days haven't had this much snow in forever. 19 more days until spring i'm praying that this is the last of winter.

sounds like you won't be going back for awhile?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

jfis1020 (jenny) had one of those snowstorms a few weeks ago...we haven't had a REAL snowstorm since 1994!!!!! the way the wind is picking up right now, we MAY have a delay tomorrow.:scared1: :scared1:

as always, I'm enjoying my Mamma Mia CD while alone in the kitchen :rockband: (Tyler upstairs playing video games)....I haven't watched the movie since Saturday night (I have NEVER, EVER been obsessed with a movie, such as this one).:dancer: :music:

No we've got at least one more day out due to the snow but hey were having a heat wave today it warmed up to 21. Now I'm going to go shovel the ten inches of snow off my car and pray it starts not that i can go any where but don't want the battery to die. How many more days until this cruise???

137 days to be exact. We got our planning book today (amid the snow). It's a whole 20 degrees here right now. I can't wait to pack my boots away. I have brownies in the oven to warm up the kitchen a bit.

Totally weird, isn't it? We get our packets on this cold and snowy day!
I thought they'd list the shore excursions....never happy, is she?! (Lucy that is) - I know everything that is in this packet, but it is still exciting to read everything again and again and again! Happy day to everyone!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Well, if I could figure out how to use my DVD player, I'd probably watch it more.........but then, someone recently told me I can watch it on my laptop!

I'm thinking we have a chance of a delay tomorrow too........we'll see, haven't been out yet.........:rolleyes1
