I HATE reality shows - my family loves them.....I can't stand any of the judges.

I'm watching Good Morning America right now, White Christmas will be on shortly.

I must admit, Charlie Brown has always been my favorite Christmas show, the original one, not the newer ones they made. It is a must for me. I worked the elementary school the other day and during lunch they showed a Christmas cartoon - I PICKED Frosty, I love that one too.

My husband (he WAS diagnosed with bronchitis - but went to work anyway - retail/Christmas - noone gets a sick day) LOVES The Christmas Story marathon, now he got the 16 yr. old watching it!!!!

We are headed off to IKEA and King of Prussia in a few minutes - Bob has the day off.

This is our first Christmas season with DVR - I'm absolutely loving it! It's filled with Christmas specials and movies! Going My Way, Bells of St. Mary, Christmas in Connecticut, It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas and at least 6 different versions of A Christmas Carol, if you count the cartoon versions.

If I'm not the only one who hasn't seen Survivor, I can bet I'm the only one who hasn't seen "A Christmas Story" It's on DVR waiting...

The only reality TV show we watch is "Project Runway" - It's my husband's favorite show

You do have to see "A Christmas Story". You will have plenty of opportunity during the 24 hour marathon. I finally talked Matt into watching it a few years ago and he can't wait to see it now. If I tell him a movie is really funny and he should watch it - it usually takes 2-3 years before he will actually give in and watch.

Matt is back to school today and finally slept through the night last night without coughing.

Starwood: we always teased my husband about The Christmas Story, now our 16 yr. old Tyler is FINALLY 'into it' too, so he and dad will sit thru the marathon on Christmas.

mickeymo: WEIRD, simply weird: My husband and 16yr. old LOVE Project Runway, and Top Chef.

We shopped a little, had a good day together, only visited two stores at the King of Prussia mall (surprised, JoAnn!) - you can't believe the deals at JC Penney (my husband works for the company for 25 years)....we saw a coat for the 16 yr. old, it was $100.00, marked down to $19.99, I had a $10 coupon and our discount, turned out I got the boy a coat for $7.99! He didn't even ask for a coat but the one he is wearing is two years old! $7.99!!!!!!

We ate at a new place for me, Bob ate at this place in Florida when he was there on business.....Bahama Breeze - very cool.

Expecting snow tomorrow!

Singing in the Rain is one of Mike, ds14's favorite musicals - the first time he watched it, he started with "Make 'em Laugh" and was hooked from there.

The kids enjoy the musicals - "White Christmas" and "Holiday Inn" are always favorites.

Of course, Mike is not your typical 14 year old - he thinks Abbott and Costello are hysterical and he asked my parents for a Victor Borge DVD as his Christmas present. There are some benefits to the endless PBS subscription drives.

We do have the on-going argument between dd11 and myself over who is better - Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire - I'm a Fred Astaire girl - the endless production numbers/dream sequences drive me insane. Of course, it could just be I love Ginger's dresses

Ok, I'm getting things done today after school.......anyone else?

About the only thing I'll get accomplished tonight is to go crazy!!! Maggie has tap dance until 6, Mike basketball practice until 6:15 and then he has to be back at school (technically) by 6:40 - but, since there's no showers in the locker room, I have permission to run him home and through the shower and be back just in time for the start of the concert at 7:00. You can tell she's worked with jr high students for a while, an extra pass of deodorant and a change of clothes isn't going to work

But, we were all home last night and had dinner all at once!!! All practices were canceled

I think Mike and Matt are going to get along great. I got Matt a t-shirt for Christmas last year that has the entire "Who's on first" on the back. He doesn't list to any contemporary music (thank goodness). He likes Disney and Broadway. He just needs to come to things in his own time (you can't tell him anything).

Fred is elegant but Gene Kelly is my man..........that movie is still a classic and Gene Kelly was amazing.........I still can't believe how great he was.

Very depressed.......no Survivor tonight........
