I went through shopping withdrawal!!! I had to shop vicariously through my MIL!!! We skyped on Thanksgiving and she went through all the ads. I listed things that we'd like to have and then she braved the crowds. :worship: Granted, I had to limit myself to two stores - she wouldn't do more. :sad1: But I sort of got to experience Black Friday!!!! (I LOVE that shopping day!!!!) :cheer2: Shopping on line just isn't the same thing. :confused3

But we did manage to get the Christmas decorations out. The tree is up and decorated! Amazingly enough we haven't lost an ornament yet!!! :thumbsup2 I need to get started on Christmas baking though. And DD's b-day party is next Saturday and our Christmas blowout is the following week (after MIL arrives for the holidays...)

Remind me again that I LOVE this time of year.... PLEASE!!!!!!
Well, I'm going to wrap what we've gotten, work on the cards and then decorating is next!:santa:

Almost finished shopping - all on-line - :woohoo: I don't deal with the mall on an ordinary day, let alone the Christmas season. Since there are so many free shipping deals or, low cost shipping, I much prefer the "click-n-shop" method.

John took the Christmas card photo of the kids today. Can't decide if I want to do a newsletter this year or skip it. I used to get so creative but, it's getting harder and harder to be creative without sounding like I'm bragging. I just may skip it this year.

Wrapping inevitably happens late into the night on Christmas Eve - for some reason, I never get around to it - I hate to wrap. We follow my family's tradition of not putting presents under the tree until Christmas Eve after the kids are asleep, so there's no reason for me to rush to finish.

Thanksgiving photos - Some things never change as they get older - get the pictures at the beginning of the gathering :rotfl2: All before lacrosse and/or a marathon Wii session with the cousins.

Just got home from our marathon trip. We spent Wed. night in Cincinnati, Thurs. and Fri. in New Philadelphia, OH, then Sat. night again in Cincy. We spent time with MIL/FIL which is good, I guess. We got up this morning and went to the Bengals tailgate with some friends, but we didn't stay for the game.:rotfl:

I am so glad to be home! I am going to sit in my chair and vegetate! Tomorrow is fatphil32's 15th birthday..........:cheer2:

Me too! I hate to wrap so, I put it off as long as possible - I can't even say I wrap on Christmas Eve, it's usually after church and into early Christmas Morning.

Wrapping party!!! :woohoo:

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on in a while because my computer wasn't working. I know there's I'll never catch up on. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

mickeymo- I love the pictures of your children. What a beautiful family!

Matthew and Leah are flying in from Houston on Christmas Eve. They're staying 4 days. I'm so excited!

Tonight I'm hosting my college sorority's alumni chapter Christmas party. I have a ton of cleaning to do.

Christmas shoipping is almost finished. I havent' wrapped anything yet.

This weekend we go to Massachussettes to have Christmas with my husband's family.

Welcome back Wendy! Best wishes with your holiday preparations!:santa:

Houston has the "S" word in our forecast!!! :scared1: The kids are excited - get one snow 4 years ago on Christmas Eve and they think it should happen every year...

Time for me to move further south!!! :)

Everyone - my apologies for not keeping in touch, but, actually I have. Have been reading all your posts, except the ones that indicate people are finished shopping and wrapping.....I ignore them:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It seems I've been getting all my substitute office jobs at the high school on the days my DH has off, and then, since he works retail, he never gets a day off on a weekend.:sad2:

We did get to the City to see White Christmas this past Sunday....it was BEAUTIFUL!

I am LOVING the pictures:hug:
