OK, WELL, I know Lucy wants to know.......all the gifts are wrapped so far, no cards mailed, no tree decorated, no cookies baked, just a few more presents to buy........the girls begin coming home tomorrow..........I work until the 23rd.........

It was 60 degrees here yesterday and now it's 32 with a winter weather advisory. No wonder everyone is sick. Matt was up all night coughing his head off (bad flashback to when he had pneumonia). It's off to the doctor today.

Unfortunately the band was not chosen for the inaugural parade. They picked some drum and bugle corp. Oh well. I think we're better off because there isn't a hotel room to be had in D.C. for that night and what you can find is ridiculously expensive.

No thanks, I lived in Illinois for 27 years and Alberta, Canada for 18 months. Snow in Houston once every 4 years is plenty for me!!!

I am booked on this cruise (Cat. 9) but I decided yesterday to cancel when I took advantage of the 4/3 WDW promotion and booked a 9-night package with dining. For just $250 more I am extending my vacation to 9 nights AND staying MK View at the Grand Floridian! (I'm actually saving money because I won't have the expense of shore excursions, tips, passports, picutures, etc.) I just couldn't pass up this deal and get to stay at the GF! My BIL and MIL who were traveling with us ended up having to cancel a vacation all together due to a job situation.

I sure was looking for to meeting all you nice people and I've certainly enjoyed this thread. Maybe a cruise for another year.

I am sorry we are not going to get the pleasure of meeting you. Don't abandon us all together though. We'd love to hear about your vacation too! I think that is an awesome deal!!

Sorry about that...........our whole school is sick too (mostly the teachers.) We've had the same weather as you, last weekend it was so bitter, yuck!

Snow in Houston, and New Orleans! Our PA weather today is simply gross....pouring rain, all day and night. OK, so I don't LOVE snow, but it IS December, we NEED holiday spirit...give US some snow instead of this disgusting, flooding rain.

I just completed making TWELVE DOZEN cookies - twelve dozen cut-out Christmas cookies, and decorating them.... I AM CRAZY! So, I was invited to this cookie exchange, I said yes, have never been, then I learned about how many cookies I would need. Thank goodness I've had off the last two days from work. I had to hide them from my son
Next year, if I get invited again, it will be easy choc. chip cookies.

Starwood: my DH has a horrible cough, and it truly sounds like bronchitis too. Unfortunately he works all weekend, Sat.: 1-10; and Sun: 12-8. When he gets a bronchial cough, it lasts for days and sounds so painful.

Actually we'll be in your neck of the woods (PA - the Poconos actually) for the weekend. I'm sure they've had snow there. Yes, snow in NYC is beautiful for about 1 hr. then it gets black and yucky from the traffic. Where we are it stays whiter a little longer. Then come the shovelling.........

No you're not - I absolutely hate reality TV. I can't pick one Christmas special to be my favorite. I love Rudolph, Charlie Brown, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol and Nestor the Long Earred Christmas Donkey.
