Also on the subject of Fish Extenders (FE)- not to be confused with Iron for Science students ) - I googled (much faster than the DIS search) and came up with this great thread

It has photos for ideas and directions to make your own (also can find them on ebay - for the non-crafty like me)

I think I even saw pictures of gifts which were passed out on a cruise or two - lots of great ideas!

We haven't posted for a while-- too many things going on!!! I believe DD has been posting on the teen thread a little. We finally told her about the cruise so she could join the thread and 'meet' some of the other kids.

The FE things sounds interesting! We would love to participate if everyone is game! I already have some ideas.

QUESTION
Can someone direct me to a thread
on the "ins and outs" of the Fish Extender gifties -
How you give them?
To who do you give them?
When do you give them?
Do you do it anonymously?
Do you give them to everyone?
Do you do it for everyday?
What type of things do you give?
I don't want to be guilty of a Fish Extender faux pas!

ANSWER
First, have you joined your cruise meet thread? Have they organized a FE exchange?

We had a couple of organizers on our cruise meet thread who also made all of our FE's for everyone. They asked who wanted to participate (everybody on our thread did) and then they sort of made a schedule and PM'd it to all of us so that someone was assigned to every day and not everybody did the same day. Some people went ahead and delivered trinkets every day tho anyway I think 'cuz we usually had a couple of things per day. People deliver their items whenever they can fit it into their day. No set time. Ours was set up to be anonymous but we were pretty much able to figure out who gave what anyway based on the items they gave.

We got things like a small dry erase board, a lanyard, frig. magnets, Disney pencils and post-it note pads, stickers, candles, picture frames, candy, sand dollars etc. I made little gift bags to give and included a pen from a local national event, I made frig. magnets and luggage tags and also included some pirate stickers and a magnetic photo frame.

What you need to establish first tho is if there is a group doing a FE exchange on your cruise!! Go over to the cruise meet threads and look for a thread for your ship and cruise dates!! Join the thread and find out if one has been started yet!

Another NE PA family!

OK, Lucy WILL do the FE, BUT, she cannot make one.....sewing skills for Lucy are minus 5 (-5)......I can sew a button on a shirt (if someone threads the needle) and that's it!
Give me a recipe anyday....but not a sewing machine!

Pipsqeeak: (I really feel weird calling you that! ) - Disney cruises are the best - I could write a book on them and how much I love them. (well, my whole family LOVES them)......just ask away to this group if you have questions)

I started teaching myself to sew last year. I sewed several shirts for my niece to wear to WDW.

Starwood for the update!

Seems like forever - today, this morning, just got out my winter clothing!

We are headed to Williamsburg for the weekend (DS has off THIS Monday instead of the 'real Columbus Day holiday'), leaving Saturday, returning Monday - only a 6 hr. drive from Kutztown......hopefully it will be warmer outside, but, in Williamsburg, when the weather turns colder, they serve hot apple cider and gingerbread cookies on the street....sounds good, doesn't it? (not as good as a Bon Voyage or Konk Cooler though, right? )
