pirate: pirate: I guess daughter has chosen Captain Booey as her pirate:cheer2: :cheer2:

Dang it! I am way too slow for this game!:rotfl2: Congrats to Captain Booey!

DH got his passport photo taken today. None of us have passports so we are slowly obtaining them. We might as well get them with the way transportation is going these days!

Hey, sorry I haven't responded sooner about the voting thing. My video is robnkris05. It shows us being family of the day at Epcot. You'll have to click next until mine pops up.

A thumbs up counts as a vote. You can vote once a day per youtube account. Thanks for voting!!!

So, it's now time to acknowledge that there is a three-way tie for Pirate King or Queen of our cruise (which goes with the "mutiny" theme as well!)

Who will be crowned with pirate royalty? So, if you haven't had one yet, we've got 11 months to go.............game on!!!

We also need to hear from more of us for the "10 things about me" list.

ARGHHHHH!!!! I sat here for three hours - refreshing every five minutes waiting for someone else to post so I could go for that pirate! (DH thought this was quite hilarious I'll note, but he refused to post!) :headache:

Next time, I'm not waiting - I'm going for it! ;)

WVSpaceMonkey: how about a wedding next July?:yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

OK, speaking of passports.....I know we have alot of things going on this thread, but i thought of something else (btw, I'm a Pisces and Bob is, i don't really know, his birthday is Aug. 25):cake:

How about we start a list of 'tips' of what we can start doing for our trip, even though it is next year (I have alot of tips i'm going to share with you when it gets closer, that I've learned from these boards....I love the tips board!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Jenny has mentioned passports - very important:cool1:

Our family has started a huge water jug, we've taped it shut with duct tape (remember, we have a 22 yr. old and 16 yr. old:lmao: :lmao: ), and we are collecting change for our cruise to help with the cost of the trip (I made a huge sign "Fund for Magical Cruise")....our house always has change floating around and now everyone can deposit their pocket change in this jug:woohoo: :woohoo: AND, if our oldest son decides to join us, this is the first time on a cruise he'll be able to go to the lounges, have his own sail-away drink, Konk Cooler, wine tasting, beer tasting, HECK, he better start his own 'jug'!!:scared1: :scared1:

Continue the 10 things, please.....

Lucy - my suggestion before the trip is for you to:

1. Learn how to stay awake past 9 p.m. UUUUU...there is a life past 9 on the cruise!:rotfl2:

2. Learn to tollerate more than ONE glass of wine. Since you don't drink much (yes, her signature about falling does refer to her being TOTALLY sober!) you might want to get into a "conditioning program"!!:lmao: :lmao:

Let me add to those of you who don't know Lucy yet.......she doesn't drink!! Maybe a glass of wine or wine cooler......I didn't want you to think she is a lush............I'll take that prize, thank you!:rolleyes1

Hi this is John, Monica's (MickeyMo) husband

10. I am 6' 6" so I always end up being the meeting spot. "Look for Dad in the crowd."

9. I am a part time professional photographer. I have done everything from portraits to weddings to industrial work. Now I mostly shoot running races --5ks, 10ks, and triathlons.

8. I am currently learning to play the bagpipes. Don't worry I will not bring them with me! I may not even have pipes by then -- you spend 6 months to a year learning on what is called a practice chanter.

7. I am a coffee snob and actually roast my own beans. I have also turned MickeyMo into a snob by making her a mocha every morning. She can now even tell when I switch beans!

6. I am leading the video ministry team at our church. I have been having fun learning to edit video on my PC. I especially enjoy videoing member’s testimonies for special projects.

5. In our house we have two Cubs fans (Monica and Maggie) , one Astros fan – and then there is me – I am an agnostic……

4. I enjoy reading Science Fiction and Fantasy books. My favorite authors are Robert Heinlein and Anne McCaffrey. Monica gives me a hard time because I will read their books over and over again.

3. I love cooking for special occasions. Some day I would like to go to “boot camp” and the Culinary Institute in New York – this is basically summer camp for wanna-be chefs at the cooking school. I have done several multi-course meals for other people in the past.

2. I am not a wine snob yet, but want to be! (Just need more practice). Right now I do not have a good place to store wine as Houston climate and water table are not conducive to a wine cellar. Basements in Houston are also called indoor swimming pools.

1. I really enjoy cruising!! This is funny since when we first were married I was adamant that I would not like cruising. I do not sit still well so I assumed that I would go stir crazy. We finally did a 5 day to the Eastern Caribbean (St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados) and I was hooked. My favorite thing to do is to sit out on a back deck and read.

the art of flluffing.........

is wonderful when you want to.....

get a pirate: (get it?)
(Except for that stupid 40 second rule):sad2:

My tip: start a box that accumulates all the little things (like battery operated fans, waterproof pouches, water shoes, etc) that you might have used on vacation this year and will definately misplace by vacation next year. This way, you will be pleasantly surprised that you were wise (and organized) enough to think ahead. Also, keep a list of things you need to buy in the box and cross them off as you buy them (you know, those little things that pop into your head while you are dreaming of palm trees and trade winds... ah):cloud9:

We arrived home last week from Florida. We had a great trip to Disney's Vero Beach Resort and WDW.

Next week we head to Houston to vist my son and daughter-in-law. They just bought a house and we can't wait to see it.

I hope everyone has been having a great summer.

Lucy and I were on the beach today, planning next year's cruise........:cool1:
