Unfortunately, I won't be participating in the FE exchange. Since I joined this group, my group of other families that will be going has climbed to 3 (plus us). I had lots of fun on my last cruise doing this plus a Halloween Scavenger Hunt, but my husband and kids didn't have as much fun as I did, since I met so many nice DISers before we boarded - it felt like old friends, but DH didn't get our jokes or are friendships that were formed.

NoahsMom - were you on the October 27-Nov 3(?) cruise with Hurricane Noel?

Sorry to hear you won't be joining the FE exchange but I totally understand. I think my DS will enjoy it, not sure about DH since I thought he'd be excited about our upgrade.

I was not on the October cruise, we've only cruised in July. Sounds interesting though since it's labeled a hurricane cruise

It feels like fall outside today! I got cause I thought I missed the cruise but than I realized it is just Maryland weather. High of 65 today. Did anyone see that ice storm in NJ?

That storm just missed us. That town was 2 towns away. It's us - Dumont - Westwood. It's 54 right now going up to 72. Its usually almost 90 by now. But at least the kids aren't dying from the heat in school.

Finals are this week - half days until school gets out on the 24th.

The 18th would be great but not the 17th. We are finally going to go to KSC on the 17th. I don't want to miss it because of a launch. Which, as I type that, seems strange....

I had a quiet birthday, as I said on my facebook page, I gave the maid and the cook the day off and spent the afternoon at the pool. John ended up working until 9:00pm - so, my birthday dinner ended up being the visit to McDonald's at lunch!

Who has been to the Kennedy Space Center? Any tips for me? We are staying at the Radisson, they have a KSC package (2 tickets plus transportation). We still need to get a ticket for Noah. Do we pre-purchase or wait until we arrive?

When we were at OKW in March we were able to see the shuttle from our balcony when it launched. If I could figure out how to post a picture I would. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
