Guess what! It looks like there was a glitch with the reservation system between AAA and DCL. Seems lots of folks were able to book their cruise for July or August at half-price or more!!!!!

There's a thread on the main cruise board talking about it and several of the beneficiaries are now on our cruise!

Evidently AAA has now corrected the problem and is overcharging for these cruises, but everyone who got the crazy cheap prices is keeping those fares.

So, I invited all of them who were successful to get on our cruise to come and join us here - on the condition that the rest of us who paid TWICE as much are treated to complimentary cocktails at the Dis Meet...

Sounds like a good idea. Good

Hi everyone! I am so bored a few weeks ago I would have loved being stuck at home now I'm soooo ready to go back to work. Hopefully my Dr will clear me today and I can go back next week if not I may go crazy.

I love the idea of a t-shirt we did that on the christmas cruise and did a group photo it really looked grat with the matching shirts. It was funny though several people outside the group thought we were one large family because of the shirts.

I love the idea of a tee shirt with the logo, too. We did one for the Med. I guess Nick will have to upload the picture with a high resolution so we can either have it printed or do a transfer on our computer. We had ours printed through a company on the internet (I'll try to see if I can find the company's name). Many company's won't because they consider Mickey copywrighted by Disney. We even checked with Disney and they said they had no problem with it as long as we weren't doing it for profit. You think they should want us to do it, free advertising for them.

Anyway, if anyone has a good company to use, please post. In the mean time, I'll check too.

Ok - so here is my question. I have done 2 Wonder cruises, but never did a fish extender thingie. So, explain this to me like I am stupid. I get what it is physically, but we get a gift for everyone who is in on it? What if we are GTY and have no idea what cabin we are in? When do we leave the gifts? What kind if things do people get? Is it per person or per room?

Couldn't find a photo to go with #2's photo tag from yesterday, so I thought I would do some sail away & t-shirt photos from the May '06 Blabbermouth Double Scoop cruise where we met Virgil's family.

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos from inside the terminal, but it was very easy to meet up with our fellow DIS'ers

I'm holding Scoopie, our mascot who traveled around the US meeting the DIS'ers before the cruise. The front of the shirt was a small ice cream cone with our ports on each scoop.

The back listed the ports in lime green font:

Our Dis Group Shirt from 2008:

The girl in the black shorts is my DD. Hard to believe she will be 14 in a few months.

Our DIS Group photo 2006 (this was only half of the group fo 200). On embarkation day everyone wore their lime green shirt and a lime greem silk flower lei. We look like we had taken over the ship.

We had people asking us how you could join. They didn't know what the DIS boards were.

You can see the name badges made by a wonderful DIS'er who then Sharpied our names on them.

It was a great idea, even during the week wearing the badges we could tell who were DIS'ers. The CD commented so much during the week about the double scoop group, he was presented with his own badge.

Does anyone have access to a button maker that would be willing to take it on?

I like the polo shirts. Looks like a fun group. Since joinging the DIS Boards, I can't believe how much time I put into a vacation. The nice people we've met over the years make the vacations so much more fun.

I would like to get a large file of the logo if possible.

I'm not sure who coordinated the Shirts for us. Other's have used Cafepress here on the internet for things.... I'll look into it... I'll see if I can wrangle the copyright from Nick....

This is a cool idea - but I'm wondering how the logistics works...

Is it possible to each order our own shirts and have them delivered to our homes and charged to our own credit cards? Or does one person have to order all of them and then hand them out at the port???

How did you do it last time?
